God of Fishing Chapter 3712 Side Story (3)
Previously on God of Fishing...
The sutra Han Fei previously bestowed upon Luo Xiaobai was meant to stabilize her condition. However, her situation grew dire after she broke through to become a dominator, causing her to nearly merge entirely with the World Tree.
Her circumstances differed from Li Daoyi, who had monopolized eighty percent of the providence from both the Primordial and Chaotic Eras. His immense luck allowed him to escape the state Luo Xiaobai now found herself in.
Luo Xiaobai lacked such fortune. Had Han Fei not returned precisely when he did, she would have been permanently lost to the world.
Within the Chaotic Star Sea.
Beneath the towering canopy of the World Tree.
Han Fei arrived at the exact location where Luo Xiaobai had faded from existence.
Upon his arrival, he was met by a pair of eyes that were on the verge of dissolving into the fabric of the world.
Recognizing Han Fei’s return, a flicker of light sparked within her gaze, though it began to fade almost instantly.
"Alas…"
Han Fei let out a soft sigh. "To be honest, I intended to tell you not to continue your Cultivation before I departed."
As Han Fei lifted his hand, the World Tree trembled. Amidst the rustling of billions of leaves, a fragment of consciousness was jarred loose. Suddenly, boundless energy surged as a branch from the World Tree detached itself. Consciousness, raw energy, and wood began to intertwine and reshape.
Moments later, Luo Xiaobai—her hair flowing loose and dressed in a simple white gown—was finally extracted from the World Tree by Han Fei. She remained in a state of disorientation, appearing half-asleep and dazed.
Han Fei then pressed his finger against the center of her eyebrows. In that instant, he restored her memories and intensified her suppressed emotions.
He possessed the power to fundamentally rewrite her bloodline and transform her very nature, but he wondered if she would truly be Luo Xiaobai afterward.
Consequently, Han Fei chose only to bolster her emotional depth and grant her enlightenment regarding the Dao of All Living Beings.
Since Li Daoyi had once freed himself from this state, Luo Xiaobai could surely do the same.
Luo Xiaobai finally stirred, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hands as the sunlight washed over her. A gentle wind caught her long tresses and tugged at the hem of her dress.
Startled, she quickly regained her senses only to find Han Fei watching her with a faint smile.
"Is this a dream?"
Blinking repeatedly, she looked up at Han Fei. Then, she reached out and gave his face a powerful pinch.
Han Fei’s eyebrows shot up. What was the meaning of this?
As she continued to blink, Han Fei said helplessly, "That actually hurts. Did you really need to use the strength of a dominator just to pinch me?"
"Huh!"
Realization finally dawned on Luo Xiaobai, and she stared at him intently. "You’ve truly come back? I…"
Han Fei smiled. "Indeed. My journey is complete, so I have returned. Now that I am here, your long slumber is over."
A brief silence fell between the two of them.
Eventually, Han Fei spoke up. "Turn around. Let me tie your hair for you."
"Mm."
As Han Fei ran his fingers through her hair to comb it, he remarked casually, "Time flows on. Hundreds of thousands of years have passed, Xiaobai. Yuyu and Kuangkuang are already surrounded by children and grandchildren. Isn't it time you got married?"
Luo Xiaobai’s frame shuddered slightly. She glanced back at him from the corner of her eye. "And?"
Han Fei gave a soft laugh. "Your standards are far too high and your heart is too cold. It worries me. In the end, it seems you can only be mine."
Turning her head back, a nearly invisible smile played on her lips. After a long pause, she replied calmly, "That depends on whether you can style my hair properly."
...
Several years passed.
In the ancestral territory of the humans, at the original site of the Yin-Yang World within the Raging Sea.
Across the waves, several children were sprinting through the surf, each lugging a massive fish that dwarfed their own bodies.
"Hah! Zhang Bushuai, face my Iron-Headed Fish attack!"
The boy being chased pulled another giant fish from the water. Laughing, he spun around and swung both fish through the air. "Yue Weiwu, try defending against two of them!"
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Amidst the metallic echoes of their play-fight, another boy leaped out from the depths. He wielded a Dragon-Headed Fish with long whiskers and slammed it toward the pair.
"Gah!"
"Hey!"
"Tang Xiaoyi, that's cheating! How can you use a Dragon-Headed Fish in a fight?"
The boy who had ambushed them tossed the fish aside and bolted. "Hehe! All is fair in war!"
Nearby, a young girl with a bob cut stood on a piece of driftwood, surrounded by hundreds of whipping vines. She held an Iron-Headed Fish, battling against the crashing tide.
Suddenly, a Dragon-Headed Fish came flying at her, knocking her and her catch into the water.
"Gurgle..."
The girl surfaced, spitting out a mouthful of brine as she yelled angrily, "Who did that? Show yourself!"
Zhang Bushuai and the others burst into laughter.
Yue Weiwu shouted back, "Han Luoluo, I was aiming for you! Why haven't you made us any surfboards yet?"
"Yeah, exactly!"
Zhang Bushuai and Tang Xiaoyi joined in the mocking laughter.
Han Luoluo’s face flushed red with fury. In the next breath, hundreds of vines erupted from the ocean, each one gripping an Iron-Headed Fish.
"Fire!"
"Oh no! Run for your lives!"
