God of Fishing Chapter 3707 Transcendence (5)

"Am I this powerful?"
The realization of his own strength dawned upon Han Fei. He had moved beyond the constraints of the Great Dao, gaining the authority to re-establish order and manipulate the fundamental laws of existence. Life and death for all sentient beings now rested upon a single thought from him.
Rather than rushing into the rift immediately, Han Fei paused to survey his surroundings. He observed the void as it drifted across the limitless battlefield. He noticed the Immortals who had perished here in their desperate attempts to break through, their lingering wills scattered throughout the Heavenly Battlefield. Though they had never truly vanished, they had fallen into a profound slumber.
Buzz!
With a simple motion of Han Fei’s hand, the vast void began to coalesce, and the fragmented wills started to return to their source.
Vast amounts of energy surged together, and the physical form of his Eldest Senior Brother was reconstructed in an instant.
Simultaneously, two hundred and three sparks of will ignited across the battlefield, burning with a divine radiance. These were the Immortals who had fallen in eras past.
"The old comrades are waking up. They... they are coming back."
Silence gripped the city wall of the Ultimate.
Those once-unyielding Immortals were now overcome with emotion, sobbing openly.
Even the giant beast and the Primordial Kylin could not restrain their tears.
"At long last, a Daoless powerhouse has risen."
The statement was heavy with a thousand different emotions. A moment later, the city wall erupted in a cacophony of thunderous cheers and triumphant roars.
"Roar—!"
"Han Fei! Han Fei of the human race!"
"Woof!"
To those watching, this was far more than a mere breakthrough. It represented a destination that countless generations had sought but never reached.
The journey had been incredibly grueling and filled with hardship. Their excitement was irrepressible.
Amidst the passionate cries and the hopeful stares of the crowd, Han Fei traversed the Wall of Gods and Devils, leaving a faint impression in the fabric of the void before finally ascending the altar.
This ancient structure bore the weight of countless ages. Its steps were scarred by the passage of time, marked by the blood and fire of many past tribulations.
Han Fei kept his gaze fixed on a specific figure. It was a man, so emaciated that he appeared to be nothing more than skin and bone. His face was a map of deep wrinkles as he sat in a cross-legged position at the center of the altar.
The fact that Han Fei could not perceive the man's power level indicated only one possibility: the stranger had also reached the Daoless realm, standing on equal footing with him.
"Chaos?"
Han Fei recalled the mural he had seen in the palace of the Return Ruins. In that depiction, the ominous had been torn apart, while the masters of the Primordial, the Mystic Yellow, the Heavenly Spirit, and the Origin Energy had all met their ends.
Only the Chaos and the Immortal Martial powerhouses remained. Since this man was clearly not the woman from the Immortal Martial World, he had to be Chaos.
Still, Han Fei found it difficult to grasp why this individual had stationed three thousand Demon Gods to guard this location and obstruct everyone's progress.
The man opened his eyes, a faint smile spreading across his weathered features.
Upon seeing those eyes, Han Fei’s expression flickered with understanding. He understood everything now.
Turning back toward the city wall of the Return Ruins, Han Fei remarked with a heavy voice, "This was the most grueling test I have ever faced, and the same goes for them. I truly did not anticipate that all of this was merely a trial."
"Cough, cough..."
The Chaos supreme powerhouse let out a dry cough, perhaps because his voice had been unused for so long.
Once he composed himself, he spoke softly, "I realize the cruelty of it. You have endured for so long, struggled through endless battles, and carried such bitterness and exhaustion. But this was a necessity. We required someone capable of putting an end to the ominous."
"End the ominous?"
Han Fei knit his brows. It was true that the people of the Immortal Martial World had dismembered and imprisoned the ominous, but they had failed to truly destroy it.
Skeptical, Han Fei asked, "The records within the Return Ruins state that the ominous—along with the other six substances—is indestructible. If you couldn't finish it, how am I supposed to?"
The Chaos powerhouse replied with effort, "First, I will take you to meet someone."
Buzz!
The altar began to rotate as the surrounding void faded away. An unfamiliar corridor appeared. Without Han Fei needing to move, he, the Chaos powerhouse, and the altar were transported away from the Land of the Ultimate.
This sudden disappearance stunned the inhabitants of the Return Ruins. They hadn't seen Han Fei take a single step. Where had he gone?
Regrettably, Han Fei did not return, leaving no one to provide them with the answers they sought.
...
Swish—
A vibrant green light flashed before Han Fei. When his vision cleared, he found himself in a place resembling a paradise. Magnificent peaks touched the sky, rivers flowed endlessly, and azure dragons and divine phoenixes soared through the clouds above towering spiritual flora.
Han Fei stood upon a World Tree that looked remarkably similar to the one in the Chaotic Star Sea.
Near a riverbank, a woman dressed in light gauze was occupied with fishing.
Sensing his arrival, she stood up. As she rose, shimmering light radiated from her attire, giving her an ethereal, fairy-like appearance.
When she turned to face him, Han Fei’s eyes widened. This was the same woman who had set him upon the path of Daolessness.
However, she looked entirely different from the warrior-like figure he remembered. Now, dressed in exquisite clothing, her beauty was breathtaking. Even though Han Fei was no longer easily swayed by appearances, he was struck by her elegance.
The woman smiled, her teeth white as fine porcelain. "You have arrived at last. We have been waiting for you for a very long time."
