Global Era of Star trekking Chapter 1875 - 910: Return to the Heaven-Fighting Ruins (Part 2)

Previously on Global Era of Star trekking...
A millennium has passed in the Endless Star Sea, and Song Chi emerges from seclusion in the Zhu Tian Ruins Market, sensing the impending collapse of the Heaven-Fighting Ruins. He travels to the Earth Plate Floating Land during its ascension to Ninth Level, where Zi Huan, the last pure-blood Heaven-Fighting Clan member and his loyal subordinate, harnesses the surging energy tide to break through to Tenth Rank Myth, joining Song Chi's growing cadre of mythical forces amid thunderous celestial upheaval. With Zi Huan's realm stabilized, they journey to Chaos Divine Land and use her bloodline to summon the Heaven-Fighting Will, which draws them into the crumbling ruins through a ripple in the void.

Within the shadowy, murky void, the forms of Song Chi and Zi Huan gradually took shape, detecting the once-familiar but now crumbling energy surrounding them. Song Chi verified that they had truly entered the Heaven-defying Ruins.

"Come on, Zi Huan, time to honor that last vow."

Using the Soul Link, Song Chi sent his command to Zi Huan, who had just advanced in rank.

At that instant, he moved ahead, his body dissolving into the void gateway that appeared to be crafted just for their arrival.

The following instant saw Song Chi and Zi Huan materializing right in the barren heart of the Heaven-defying Ruins.

What lay ahead was far more barren than it had been twenty thousand years prior, with the heavens riddled by spiderweb cracks in space, the ground steadily breaking apart and fading into oblivion, the whole site teetering on the edge of total chaos.

While Song Chi remained composed within, Zi Huan picked up on the Heaven-Fighting Will born from this location—now greatly diminished—and issued an instinctive, sorrowful growl.

Detecting the presence of Zi Huan and Chi, the Heaven-Fighting Will at the site's core gathered once more, shifting into a hazy silhouette.

The silhouette's eyes passed over Zi Huan, detecting the pristine and mighty mythic-grade Heaven-defying Bloodline inside him, and showed profound approval. Obviously, Zi Huan reaching the mythical level in merely over twenty thousand years went way beyond what it had anticipated.

This further proved that Song Chi was truly nurturing Zi Huan, rather than just bound by their old agreement.

Then, Song Chi released an Intelligence Brain Chip, which recorded the progress of the Heaven-defying Bloodline offshoots he had planted throughout the diverse realms of the Shattered Starry Sea. Among these, a handful were led by ninth-rank Heaven-defying Bloodline holders, and close to twenty operated at the eighth-rank tier, smashing past the earlier benchmarks.

The Heaven-defying Ruins grew even more pleased in reply.

"Heir... Legacy... Heaven-fighting Will..."

Fragmented ideas flooded into the minds of Song Chi and Zi Huan.

At the same time, the site's breakdown quickened abruptly, and the leftover Heaven-Fighting Will—seemingly having settled its deepest regrets—started swiftly forfeiting its grip on the Heaven-defying Ruins during this short span. Luckily, it endured just enough to stop the site from crumbling outright.

That said, it's clear that following this shift, the site's eventual downfall will come sooner than expected, maybe in the coming decades or even mere years.

Not allowing Song Chi any chance to ponder, the Heaven-fighting Will swiftly upheld its prior oath, passing along the ultimate reward: the central relic that had upheld the site's survival for endless ages, the Chaotic Artifact [High-dimensional Sea], straight to Song Chi.

Holding the [High-dimensional Sea] tight, observing the Chaotic Glow endlessly pouring from the Odd Item, intense eagerness and intrigue pushed Song Chi to examine its Attribute Panel right away, yet logic ultimately overpowered his urge to explore.

For his gut warned him to exit the Heaven-defying Ruins without delay, avoiding any prolonged stay in this Relic Space.

With the Heaven-fighting Will's hold on the site slipping, each additional moment or even instant they lingered could hasten the full breakdown by months, possibly a whole year.

After saying goodbye to the Heaven-fighting Will, Song Chi pulled back from the Heaven-defying Ruins with the downcast Zi Huan, heading back to [Split Mountain Ancestor City].

"Whew!"

Once completely back in [Split Mountain Ancestor City], Song Chi exhaled deeply, as though a massive burden had lifted, oblivious to the fact that in those brief minutes, the Chaos Void housing the Heaven-defying Ruins was churning with concealed surges and massive unrest.

From the instant Song Chi and Zi Huan vanished from [Split Mountain Ancestor City], drawn into the site's depths by the Heaven-Fighting Will, up to their secure reappearance bearing the Chaotic Artifact [High-dimensional Sea].

Deep in the apparently quiet emptiness of the Heavenly Ape Star Realm, the suppressed turmoil burst forth at last.

"Hum——"

Unseen ripples raced outward from the warped emptiness centered on the Heaven-defying Ruins, faint but tied to drastic shifts in the site's essence and a deliberate fading of its will. Yet for the mythical entities who had lingered here for tens of thousands of years or more, it hit like a massive stone crashing into still waters.

"The site's will is fading fast!"

"Is the Heaven-defying Ruins hastening toward its end?"

"What's going on—did some unforeseen event unfold within the site?"

Clashing divine senses raged in the void's depths, brimming with doubt and avarice.

For eons they had endured, like steadfast predators, poised for the site's natural demise to claim whatever scraps of the Heaven-fighting Clan's legacy remained, particularly that Chaotic Artifact anchoring the site.

Now, with word that the site could crumble prematurely, how could it fail to spark disorder among the factions?

At the same time, it reignited the deep-seated grudges and animosities built over infinite eras.

Boom!

A remote twist in the void detonated suddenly, unleashing dazzling yet lethal mythical brilliance, shards of rules flying wildly. A hidden Mythical Titan collided with a "Mythical Flame Demon" trying to aggressively scan the site's inner condition.

Neither was the forgiving type, and once strikes flew, it lit the powder keg.

Boom boom boom!

Additional mythical entities joined the fray, whether to investigate, remove rivals, or just caught in the wild energies.

In a flash, this fragile void morphed into a horrifying warzone.

Space ripped open, time's currents twisted into disorder, diverse mythical-grade Law Domains clashed and nullified each other.

If the combatants hadn't feared utterly wrecking the site and letting void storms devour all, the destruction's scope would have dwarfed what now occurred.

This abrupt mayhem dragged on for days, shaking half the Heavenly Ape Star Realm and pulling in the gaze of further powers.

Ultimately, a few elder and mightier wills stepped in.

"Stop it!"

A grand will, vast as an ocean of stars, commanded and quelled some of the battlefield's frenzy.

"Keep battling, and you'll draw in outsiders from beyond the Heavenly Ape Star Realm—no one claims the [High-dimensional Sea] then!"

Via joint negotiations and threats, the mayhem halted for the moment.

At the same time, the groups swiftly agreed, ramping up their assault on the Heaven-defying Ruins.

"Unite, accelerate the corrosion!"

"No more delays!"

The united powers—whether Titan Giant Clan, Eternal Clan, Abyss Demon Race, Starry Sea Insect Race, or certain ancient solitary myths—put aside their old feuds for now.

Endless waves of fearsome mythical energy, abandoning all caution, surged like furious tempests from scattered void regions, savagely battering and wearing down the fragile barriers of the Heaven-defying Ruins.

The site's framework, propped up by the Heaven-Fighting Will and [High-dimensional Sea], groaned under the assault that spiked ten times, a hundred times stronger.

Crack! Snap!

Within the site, the heavens' breakdown surged faster, huge swaths of emptiness erased and plunged into disorder.

Rather than crumbling, the ground vaporized and disappeared in massive sections, the lingering trace of the Heaven-Fighting Will in the central area wavered fiercely, quiet in laments and last resolve, though its pulses grew ever quicker, teetering on total fade.

The Heaven-defying Ruins' ultimate downfall ticked into its final phase.

Meanwhile, the one who sparked it all, Song Chi, rested calmly in the Heavenly Marketplace at that time, cradling the [High-dimensional Sea] that shone with Chaotic Radiance in his hand, blind to the colossal storm he'd unleashed in the Chaos Void.

About this Chaotic Artifact, he shared only a quick summary with Jiang Yuan and the rest of the trio, then dove straight into the Heavenly Marketplace, refusing to leave it exposed outside even briefly.

In truth, the elite forces coveting this [Chaotic Artifact] numbered far beyond a handful or score; he needed the Heavenly Marketplace—itself a Chaotic Artifact—for hiding and protection to feel truly secure.
