Faced with the brutal reality that defending Human Emperor City alone is impossible, Song Chi and the Torch Civilization leaders conclude that they must persuade the Titan or Eternal civilizations to intervene. To gain enough bargaining chips to interest these dominator forces, Song Chi travels to the Wizard Civilization’s Tower of Truth to form a grand alliance. There, he joins representatives from the Wizard, Emperor Barbarian, Rakshasa, and Angel civilizations to discuss a joint strategy against the encroaching Mythical Armies. Despite deep-seated animosities between the various races, the looming threat of the Yellow Spring Sandstorm forcing its way through the Heavenly Ape Star Realm compels the five powers to seek a desperate consensus.
Song Chi’s focus shifted across the gathered representatives as his fingers rhythmically tapped the Star Chart, zooming in on a specific quadrant of the Heavenly Ape Star Realm.
In that enlarged projection, various icons denoting “Chaos City” locations were scattered in an uneven pattern. “Human Emperor City” stood as the closest outpost to the advancing legions of the other Star Realms. To the other four clans, their respective Chaos Cities were positioned in a manner that suggested a state of mutual reliance with “Human Emperor City.”
“Honored representatives, our window of opportunity is closing,” Song Chi stated firmly.
“The moment the Sand Spirit Clan breaches the Heaven-Reaching Chaos City, ‘Human Emperor City’ will be the next to face their wrath. And once ‘Human Emperor City’ is extinguished, your own strongholds will inevitably follow.”
The envoys from the Emperor Barbarian Race and the Rakshasa Clan saw their expressions darken. They were far from naive; being chosen as delegates for their Overlord Civilizations meant they were the elite minds of their respective peoples.
“What exactly are you proposing then?” the Rakshasa Clan representative demanded.
Before Song Chi could respond, the Green Rule Wizard from the Wizard Civilization took the lead:
“Our five factions shall each contribute a Town-level Strange Object. By pooling the worth of five Super Strange Objects, we will petition either the Titan or the Eternal Clan to intervene on our behalf.”
While one might have expected immediate pushback, the reaction was surprisingly muted.
Following Green’s statement, a heavy silence fell over the remaining four.
This wasn't a sign of dismissal. Aside from Song Chi, who had anticipated this, the representatives from the Angel and the other two civilizations were locked in deep thought. The shifting light in their eyes suggested they found the plan to be a viable path forward.
Waiting for the perfect beat to maximize the impact, Song Chi decided to press the issue further.
“If our very civilizations face erasure, what point is there in hoarding Strange Objects? My Torch Civilization is prepared to commit to this endeavor.”
The alliance between the Torch and Wizard Civilizations was public knowledge, yet Song Chi’s declaration clearly resonated with the Angel, Emperor Barbarian, and Rakshasa delegates.
The chamber remained silent for several more heartbeats.
Eventually, the silence was broken by the representative of the Angel Civilization.
“The plan is sound. Given the raw power of the Eternal Clan and the Titan Giant Clan, their protection would be an absolute shield for our people if they choose to step in.”
“The Angel Civilization is willing to participate, provided one condition is met: the value of all five Strange Objects must be of equal standing.”
“That is only fair,” Green replied, seizing the momentum. “Let us each present a candidate Strange Object. If the collective agrees on their worth, we shall proceed with the formal pact.”
With the Angel Civilization’s endorsement secured, Green moved first. With a sharp flick of his wrist, he manifested a quill glowing with a vibrant, seven-colored radiance from the void.
“The Pen of Truth,” Green said, his fingers tracing the instrument.
“It possesses the power to rewrite the local laws of the Starry Sea for a duration of three seconds.”
To demonstrate, the seven-colored “Pen of Truth” etched a curve through the air.
Wherever the quill touched, the fabric of space was wiped clean like ink from a page, exposing the raw, churning rule structures hidden beneath.
Though the reality stabilized quickly, the brief display left everyone stunned.
Song Chi’s gaze sharpened; he was intimately aware of the strategic importance of such a Strange Object.
Specifically regarding the Time Rule.
Whether it involved “Time Reversal,” “Time Pause,” or “Time Acceleration,” a single stroke of the “Pen of Truth” could force these three branches of the Time Rule into effect for three seconds.
If synchronized with the Time Chess Board, the duration of “Time Reversal” could be boosted by twenty-five percent.
Seeing the bar set high, Michael of the Angel Civilization unfurled his radiant wings, revealing a translucent crystal sphere held in his hand.
“The Eye of Holy Judgment. It allows one to peer into a segment of the River of Destiny, granting a vision of a pivotal event occurring within the next three millennia.”
Within the sphere, starlight swirled, showing fleeting, ghost-like images of the future, including a grim flash of “Human Emperor City” in ruins.
Song Chi felt a cold shiver as his pupils narrowed. In a strategic sense, this object was perhaps even more vital than the “Pen of Truth.”
The Emperor Barbarian representative gave a low grunt and pulled a weathered Bronze Ancient Seal from his robes.
“The Barbarian Ancestor Battle Seal. It contains the essence of a strike from the first generation Barbarian Ancestor, capable of momentarily invoking the power of the Eleventh Rank Mythical realm.”
A terrifying Barbarian Tribe totem was etched into the seal’s surface. The mere leak of its internal Qi caused the surrounding space to spiderweb with cracks.
Although the Emperor Barbarian Race currently only boasted a single Tenth Rank Barbarian God, their lineage originated from a primordial Barbarian Creature of the Eleventh Rank. Seeing the “Barbarian Ancestor Battle Seal” did not shock the assembly.
Not to be outdone, the Rakshasa representative held up a single, quivering droplet of dark purple blood.
“The Blood of the Rakshasa Ancestor. It grants a Tenth Rank Peak expert a ten percent increased chance of breaking through to the Eleventh Rank.”
The blood pulsed in the open air as if it possessed its own heartbeat, radiating a suffocating pressure.
Finally, all eyes landed on Song Chi.
Remaining composed, he allowed Spectral Energy to coat his form as he drew a cluster of seven-colored light from the Ancestral Torch centered in his Dantian.
“The Colorful Extreme Position Twelve All Heaven Gods and Demons Talisman. A Seven-Colored, strategic-grade Strange Object designed for sealing, crushing, and offensive annihilation.”
This talisman represented the peak heritage of the Xian Qin Divine Dynasty. It hadn't been surrendered by Xian Qin freely; rather, it was acquired from Origin Star in exchange for a Top Rank “Chaos Mirror Image Stone.” Consequently, the Ying Family of Immortal Qin still possessed a mirrored version of the “Twelve All Heaven Gods and Demons Talisman.”
The five Super Strange Objects hovered in the center of the room, their diverse auras clashing and blending.
The five representatives scrutinized each item carefully, but no one voiced a single objection.
