Dragons awakened at each of Shane's shelters to repel the Abyssal Invasion. Ember, Cinder, Slayer, Harvester, Seafarer, and Stoner all unleashed their unique powers, driving back the Demon Knights and Warlocks. While the shelters celebrated their victories, a new System Notification arrived with dire news.

The battlefield had barely quieted when the next message appeared before every survivor.

[ System Notification: Abyssal Scar Expansion Detected. ]

[ Warning: Dimensional instability has allowed entry from another Realm. ]

[ More Wild Shelters have appeared across the land. ]

[ Leaders: Necromancers. Threat Level: Unpredictable. ]

[ Advisory: Wild Shelters are hostile structures born of corruption. Survivors are warned that entry into these domains will result in immediate hostility. ]

[ Classification: Necromancer ranks vary from Beginner to Expert. ]

[ Note: Survivors should prepare for conflict not only against Demons, but against Necromancers and their undead armies. ]

The words stunned all the Foreign Survivors as they read through the message from the system.

Soon, they informed the others. The soldiers, priests, and even commanders exchanged uneasy glances.

Everyone knew about their existence. Wild Shelters were not new... they had appeared years ago, scattered across the land.

Unlike Neutral Shelters, which at least maintained a semblance of human civilization and trade, Wild Shelters were chaotic, hostile, and always ruled by necromancers who bent the dead to their will.

"Wild Shelters..." Minerva muttered, as she still had some awful memories about them...

"I guess the Abyss has torn the scar wide enough for them to enter into our realm again."

Sandra also descended from the sky, her Flight Talent fading as she landed near the battlements.

"Tsk... I thought they were already gone. So they’re really from another realm. Not originally from this world. I guess it’s similar to these Vampires and Demons." she said grimly.

Hazel, one of the mechanics and hybrid humans, heard her words and nodded.

"They’re someone who wouldn’t do any negotiation or trades. But will they work with the Demons? Or are they a separate faction or something?"

The recruits soon heard about the situation.

Since they had no system like the Foreign Survivors, they could only listen to the words of their leaders and understand the situation.

As soon as the news spread, everyone recalled the Necromancers...

They remembered that beginner necromancers gathered in small groups, three to five at most, pooling their skeletal minions to survive and form their small Wild Shelter....

But advanced necromancers, and worse, experts, could form entire shelters alone, commanding legions of mummies, zombies, wraiths, or some other strong undead creatures.

"They’re unpredictable," Minerva continued. "Some ignore us while some attack without warning. It’s always better to just eliminate them after seeing their base."

The soldiers clenched their weapons tighter. The Abyssal Invasion had already made them concerned of their defense.

Now, with Wild Shelters appearing, the battlefield itself had become a chessboard with new, dangerous players.

Meanwhile, Ember growled low from atop the walls, its golden eyes scanning the horizon.

Even the dragon seemed to have sensed the unnatural aura creeping across the land.

Another line of the notification flickered:

[ Note: Wild Shelters vary in strength. Necromancer leaders range from Beginner to Expert. Survivors are advised to proceed with caution. ]

Reylin, commander of Blood Talon Shelter, spoke with a heavy tone.

"This will be annoying. We’re not just fighting demons anymore..."

"Don’t worry about it. It’s not like we’re unfamiliar with Cross-Apocalypse."

"Hahaha! That’s true!"

Jessa, one of Reylin’s squad leaders, nodded.

"Even if they don’t die easily. We’re at least aware of their weakness already."

The defenders fell silent, each imagining the armies of bone and rotting flesh marching to their shelters...

"Still, those Necromancers weren’t idiots. They’d probably stay in their shelter and gather enough undead creatures instead of recklessly attacking us."

"That’s true... At the very least, they won’t be immediate problems."

"Let’s just focus on the Demons then. Even if they come, Holy Powers would work well against them anyway."

Still, there was a huge concern that many of the Foreign Survivors were thinking...

Sandra couldn’t help but address this matter.

"Every demon we slay... could become another soldier in their ranks. We have to loot them immediately once they’re killed. "

There was a moment of silence as soon as she said but everyone immediately nodded.

The third day dawned over the Eden Island.

It was quite unnerving to be here since the dimensional scar was too close to them...

Nonetheless, with the presence of the barriers, mechs, and many other defenses, the people of the shelter still believed that they could survive this event...

At this time, mist clung to the shoreline, curling around the rocks and the walls of the Mist Shelter.

Then, from the dimensional scar at the island’s heart, three figures emerged... They were tall, humanoid, and cloaked in garments that resembled noble attire.

They looked almost like vampires, with their elegant coats and collars... However, the differences were unmistakable.

Each bore a single horn jutting from the center of their forehead, black eyes with burning red pupils, and an aura that reeked of Abyssal power.

The first, Varaxis the Designer...

He adjusted his gloves as he looked at the nearby shelter.

His horn gleamed faintly as he activated a skill to scan the surroundings...

"So this is the Human Shelter. I see its dragon perched above, the elves on the battlements, the turrets, the metallic humans, and those modified humans. A formidable defense."

The second, Draveth the Executioner, grinned.

His cloak was torn and battle‑worn, yet his presence made it seem like he was a warrior.

"Formidable? Hah. I see prey. They have priests and warriors, but they bleed like any other."

Draveth then paused for a moment as he sensed four powerful presences within this shelter.

"Mhm... Look at those four figures inside the walls. Their vitality and spiritual energy shine like beacons. They’re the ones we should crush."

The third, Maltheris the Whisperer, remained silent for a moment. He also noticed the four figures just now as he studied the shelter.

His voice was softer and it was almost serpentine.

"Dangerous beacons... They must be the Foreign Survivors of this Realm. They are not ordinary humans. Their aura is too pure.. If we strike recklessly, we may lose more than we gain."

Varaxis smirked as he heard the two speak.

"We won’t fight head‑on anyway... This is the third and final day of the invasion. The scar will hold only until dusk. After that, the corruption fades, and this realm will reject us. We must use the time wisely."

Draveth frowned as he recalled how they had very limited time. If they could probably last for at least a week, then they knew that they could accomplish something more.

Unfortunately, the rift couldn’t hold out for a long time. Perhaps, they needed another year or two to obtain a more stable passage.

"Hmph... What should we do then, Varaxis?" Maltheris shook his head

Draveth laughed and spoke before Varaxis could speak.

"Definitely not retreat. We just have to sow fear. We weaken their morale and test their defenses. In any case, we just need to target the core of their shelter. Once it’s destroyed, I can tell that the Zombies and Vampires hiding in this island would do the work."

Varaxis agreed to Draveth’s words, but he needed to add a few more things...

He then pointed toward the shelter. "Look closely. The dragon is strong, but it’s young... That Dragon shouldn’t have enough mana to kill all the Imps we brought."

Draveth’s grin widened. "Then let me strike them. Let me tear that Dragon apart once it used its dragon’s breath."

A few hours later, most of the demons had finally gotten out of the rift...

It was time to make their move...

Soon, the mist thickened around Eden Island as the three Demon Generals led the assault...

As they tried to command their army, their horns glowed faintly with Abyssal energy.

With this power, it allowed them to control the Imps, Avarice Demons, Demon Knights, and Warlocks that came to follow them...

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The shelter’s alarm resounded as the defenders watched uneasily from the walls, sensing that something terrible was about to unfold.

Varaxis raised his hand and spoke in a soft tone... However, it was enough for demons to hear this voice, loud and clear...

"Enough observation. It is time. Let the army move."

At his signal, the dimensional scar pulsed violently.

It gave incredible power to everyone!

A powerful dark energy enveloped the bodies of Demons, allowing them to bravely charge in front!

Just like that, the ranks of Demon Knights marched forward...

Behind them, Warlocks floated as they began casting curses into the air.

At the same time, Imps scurried along the ground, shrieking as they spread corruption across the soil.

Draveth laughed as he felt how the lower-tier Demons gained so much power from the burst of Dark Energy coming from the rift...

"Yes! Let them hear our footsteps. Let them choke on despair." He then pointed toward the Mist Shelter. "Knights, break their barriers! Warlocks, drown their priests in curses! Imps, swarm their machines!"

Maltheris then ordered with similar excitement...

"Do not rush blindly. Surround them. Let the fog conceal your movements..."

The army obeyed.

The mist grew darker, infused with Abyssal energy, until the defenders could barely see beyond the walls!
