Alex’s breath caught in his throat.

Six Zombie Lords... all at once. His hands trembled as he whispered, "This... this isn’t natural. Someone lured them here."

Down on the battlefield, Shane and Sasha had obviously stopped what they were doing.

The clash halted as the oppressive aura of the Lords spread across the land.

Even the sky darkened, the ground quaked, and the stench of decay rolled in like a tide.

Merlin’s staff dimmed as he looked toward the horizon.

"Six Lords... simultaneously. This is no coincidence."

Alex’s face was already pale. "Six...? How can anyone fight six of them working together? This is cheating..."

Shane lowered his blade and looked at Sasha...

"The match is over. We can’t spar while the world is collapsing around us."

Sasha laughed as she wasn’t suicidal either.

She was already planning to leave this place since she didn’t want to get involved against the Lord-Tier Zombies...

"Someone dares to interrupt my entertainment. A coward hiding in the shadows."

Instead, she turned her attention to the hidden figure who had possibly started this mess.

The battlefield’s tension shifted instantly. What had been a duel of curiosity was now a fight for survival. The aura of the six Lords pressed down like a mountain...

Shane clenched his sword tighter as he considered what to do next...

"Whoever summoned them... will regret it. But first, we deal with the Lords."

Merlin nodded, his expression hard. "Prepare yourselves. This is no spar anymore. This is war."

From afar, Lucian smirked in satisfaction, watching the chaos unfold. His lure had worked perfectly. Six Zombie Lords now converged on the battlefield, ready to annihilate everything in their path!

***

The oppressive aura of six Zombie Lords pressed down like a mountain.

Shane held his Moonveil Manablade tightly with his eyes scanning the horizon where the abominations were converging.

"We can’t fight them all," Merlin said grimly, his staff glowing faintly. "Escape is our only option."

Alex nodded quickly, his face pale. "Yes... We’ll be torn apart if we stay."

Sasha, however, had already made her choice.

Her crimson hair flowed like fire as she smirked. "I don’t waste my time against suicidal odds. I’ll see you again, humans."

With a burst of dragonfire, her form blurred and vanished into the sky, leaving the battlefield behind...

Shane cursed under his breath. "She’s gone. It’s just us now."

Merlin raised his staff as he also prepared to escape...

Fighting against 2 or maybe 3 Zombie Lords might still be doable. But dealing with six of them was just too much.

"I’ll open a teleportation gate. Stay close."

Just like that, the space around them glowed as Merlin chanted... Soon, a circle of light forming beneath their feet.

But just as the portal began to stabilize, the ground shook violently.

A roar seemed to have disrupted his spell!

Dravok, the Abyssal Maw, had arrived.

Its massive body was getting closer...

Soon, its huge mouth opened and distorted the space itself. The void within its mouth pulsed, dragging the air inward like a collapsing star.

The teleportation circle then moved before it shattered.

Whom~

Merlin was shocked, unable to comprehend how it happened...

"Impossible... it disrupted the spatial weave!"

Dravok’s mouth then widened further as the gravitational pull intensified.

Rocks, corpses, even the trees were sucked toward it. Shane grabbed Alex’s arm, pulling him back.

"Move! Don’t let it drag you in!"

From the opposite side, Malgor the Plague Sovereign spewed clouds of toxic mist, the air thickening with toxic fumes.

Swarms of plague‑ridden zombies crawled from the earth, their shrieks echoing.

Thryx the Iron Devourer advanced, its armored body moved as it consumed scattered weapons and armor from fallen survivors...

Well, this area seemed to have become a graveyard with so much junk that could be found around.

Still, the pull of the Iron Devourer was too strong, to the point that it was affecting Shane’s sword.

"Tsk... These lords are strong..."

He gritted his teeth, forcing his grip tighter.

Kaet the Soul Eater drifted closer, reaching out to them...

It could sense their strong vitality, and there was no way he’d missed that.

Alex screamed as he felt his chest tighten, his soul tugged at by invisible chains.

Merlin slammed his staff into the ground, releasing a burst of protective light that severed the spectral grip.

"Stay behind me!" Merlin shouted.

Nar the Bone Harvester swung its colossal scythe, and it split the ground where it struck... Soon, skeletal thralls started rising from the fissures.

And above them all, Seraxis the Storm Wraith hovered with lightning spears forming in its hands. Thunder roared as cyclones of undead started appearing!

The six Lords were closing!

"We’re trapped!" Alex cried.

Shane frowned as he assessed the situation. "No. Relax... We’re not dying here."

He activated the Calamity Mantle’s Shadow Drift, and his form started phasing in and out of reality. He darted forward, slashing through the plague zombies with the Moonveil Manablade.

Soon, each strike carved arcs of mana, cutting a path through the horde!

"Aahhh! Merlin, find another way!" Shane shouted.

Merlin’s staff pulsed as he tried again, creating another teleportation circle.

But Dravok’s mouth distorted space once more, collapsing the spell. Merlin cursed. "It won’t let us leave through teleportation. We need distance!"

"Then we run," Shane said firmly.

The three sprinted across the battlefield, dodging waves of attacks.

Nar’s scythe slammed down, barely missing them.

Malgor’s plague mist burned their lungs, forcing Merlin to conjure a barrier of wind to push it aside. Seraxis hurled lightning spears, each one exploding on impact, sending shockwaves across the plain.

Alex stumbled, nearly caught by Kaet’s spectral claws again.

"You..."

Shane pulled him up, his armor glowing as it reflected fire at the undead. "Stay with me!"

At the same time, Thryx roared, and magnetic energy started pulling at Shane’s blade once more. He countered with a surge of mana, and soon, the Moonveil Manablade glowed brighter, resisting the pull. He slashed forward, severing the magnetic field for a brief moment.

Merlin’s eyes darted across the battlefield.

"There! A fissure in the ground. If we can reach it, I can stabilize a gate away from Dravok’s influence."

They pushed toward the fissure, but the Lords pressed harder.

Dravok’s maw widened, the gravitational pull dragging them back.

Shane planted his sword into the ground, anchoring himself and Alex. Merlin raised his staff, channeling every ounce of mana into a protective dome.

"Hold on!" Merlin shouted.

Soon, the dome shimmered, resisting the pull.

Shane, realizing that the protection would last, activated Energy Wave. A crescent of pure force erupted from his blade, slicing through the plague zombies and pushing back Kaet’s spectral form!

"Now, Merlin!" Shane yelled.

"Yes! Let’s leave this damn place!" Merlin shouted as he activated his spell.

Thud!

He then slammed his staff into the fissure and activated his spell!
