Global Abyss: My Skills Can Enhance Infinitely Chapter 2003 - 1072: Sky Opening and Earth Creation (Part 2)

Taichu let out a cold snort once he finished his statement.
"Regardless of your chosen course of action, I am certainly departing."
With those words, he planted his hands behind his back and stood there, offering no further discourse.
At this moment, Emperor Yu deemed it appropriate to chime in.
"Very well. Anyone wishing to leave may do so. However, remaining is a choice you make for yourselves; it simply means adding a few more wraiths to our tally."
As he spoke, Emperor Yu stroked his Emperor Slayer Divine Spear.
"Taichu!"
The Heaven Pillar God King appeared visibly incensed, the massive axe in his grasp radiating a menacing aura.
Taichu’s candid admission effectively meant the God King’s coalition would suffer a loss of support by at least one formidable combatant!
"Alas, if Taichu is unwilling to stand with us, our odds diminish further. Most concerning is my fear that Stargazing and the others have been blocked. If the enemy possesses powerful reinforcements, the consequences will be unimaginable..."
The Demon Lord sighed heavily; despite emitting a potent Abyss Aura and maintaining superior suppression compared to the three Dark Quasi-Emperors, raw utility could not compensate for a disadvantage in sheer numbers and physical strength. Given the circumstances, he could not be faulted for sounding so grim.
"If Taichu truly intends to withdraw, I have no way to accompany you further."
The Demon Lord’s expression turned melancholic as his words pinpointed the most critical issue at hand.
We clearly face a crisis regarding reinforcements. While we know we cannot expect any significant aid, the same cannot be said for the opposition!
Three of them have suddenly surfaced; who is to say more won't follow?
Originally, we might have barely managed a fighting retreat to find an opening, and as long as we reached the Abyss Great Wall, our escape would have been relatively secure.
But with the potential for further encirclement, combined with the loss of two God Kings' support, the situation looks dire...
"Actually, I am quite curious. If you three are willing to answer a single question, I might consider withholding my assistance from the three Conceptual Gods."
Tao Yu, who had been an observer until now, addressed Emperor Yu calmly.
"Humph, whether you seek your own demise is of no concern to me, but if your inquiry manages to pique my interest, I see no harm in answering it."
Emperor Yu sneered, seemingly indifferent to whether Tao Yu stayed or left.
"The Heaven Pillar God King’s decision to choose this location was undoubtedly influenced by selfish motives, but for you three to intercept us with such precision, I doubt mere clairvoyance or deduction could have achieved such a feat."
Tao Yu’s tone remained unnervingly steady.
To his eyes, Emperor Yu appeared to be the most sinister of the group, despite his outward veneer of normalcy.
Over the years, the three Quasi-Emperors had improved by adapting to the outside world, yet it must have come at a steep cost. Emperor Hong, for instance, clung to the desire for precise control over causality, yet currently, his power does not even surpass that of a common God King.
Even with Tao Yu’s current status, he could not precisely track a God King; they simply lacked the capability.
Hearing this, a mocking smirk tugged at the corner of Emperor Yu’s lips.
"So you suggest there is collusion between myself and someone in your camp? Do you wish to identify the culprit? Haha!"
"I suspect you wouldn't keep that a secret for long, as you would derive great pleasure from watching suspicion bloom among us."
Tao Yu’s response was seamless, earning a flicker of grudging appreciation from Emperor Yu.
"Quite right! This betrayal isn't limited to your Mystic Realm. Even in the neighboring Nephite Realm and several shattered worlds, individuals are proactively reaching out to us. They wish to eliminate their rivals, employ a borrowed knife to strike, and weaken you through our hands, all to secure their own future dominance."
Speaking thus, Emperor Yu’s expression turned disdainful.
"Yet, your fragile coalition cannot even stand on its own feet. Only the weak rely on conspiracy, while we possess the strength to crush you head-on."
"Then why do you refrain from a direct assault on the Abyss Great Wall?"
Tao Yu’s casual remark struck a nerve, causing Emperor Yu’s voice to falter briefly before he offered a twisted grin.
"I have changed my mind. The others are free to depart, but you, you must stay."
"Do not act on impulse."
At this junction, the Heaven Pillar God King weighed in with a grave tone of persuasion directed at Tao Yu, eventually letting out a weary sigh.
"The current situation offers no hope; we can only sacrifice the three lords for a window of time. The foundation of our World Will remains deep, and once the Outer Sea forces are reclaimed and the World Will is fully restored, a chance for revival will eventually emerge."
The Heaven Pillar God King possessed the weakest capacity for self-preservation among them all. With Taichu and the Demon Lord firm in their stances, he found his own resolve wavering.
In terms of dimensions, while others might find an opportunity to survive, he knew he was trapped!
"Then let us prepare to withdraw. If we leave as one, they will find it harder to focus their efforts on pinning you down."
The Explaner chimed in with a calm transmission.
Although the Demon Emperor was visibly frustrated, the hopelessness of the situation forced his hand, and he sighed in submission.
"The World Will may recover, but the endless calamities within the Abyss will persist. New crises will inevitably surface long after this one concludes. With so many Conceptual Gods in the All Gods Temple constantly reviving, their numbers continue to swell. Adding these new arrivals to the mix makes the chaos ahead a certainty; everyone should steel their minds accordingly..."
Tao Yu ignored the commentary from the Gods, choosing instead to press his inquiry.
"Then, will you clarify who exactly reached out to you? I do not believe Taichu, that fool, is the type to play such a game."
Taichu is fundamentally driven by greed and self-interest.
As the saying goes, like calls to like; observing his Main God companion reveals his true character. Even the Purification Holy Hall under his banner might have been a tool for his ambition, as he covets a share of the World Will’s authority.
Yet, the cautious manner in which he managed the Purification Holy Hall suggests Taichu prefers to keep his options open.
He is keenly aware of how vital the World Will is to the Dark Heavenly Court; while he may have lured the Conceptual Gods to this battle, his intent was likely just to take a small bite—much like a frog being boiled in slow-rising water.
