Under the cover of night, Yun Nianfeng confronts trouble in Tianhuang City, assuring Yun Chutian that he will handle the situation while she remains safe. Despite her desire for vengeance, she admires his looks, infusing their interaction with a blend of affection and rivalry. As he swiftly returns after dispelling the threats, the shocking news of the elders' demise shakes the palace, leaving Ouyang Xuan stunned and fearful. Tensions rise as Yun Chutian confronts Wang Xuelian, mocking her in front of others, igniting further conflict amid swirling emotions and power dynamics.

“Brother Nianfeng, look, that woman was even glaring at me,” Yun Chutian complained with a pitiful pout.

She wasn't oblivious to the situation. It was clear that woman had set her sights on Brother Nianfeng, and Yun Chutian would never permit anyone to drive a wedge between them! Furthermore, Wang Xuelian was the sister of Wang Haotian. In her eyes, both were merely jackals from the same tribe!

“I did no such thing!” Wang Xuelian quickly averted her eyes, adopting a look of deep grievance. “Young Master Nianfeng, I have been dieting lately. Soon... very soon, I will be just as slender as she is. Besides, her connection to my brother is quite suspicious. Don't you find her to be a bit dirty?”

A cold glint flashed through Yun Chutian’s eyes. She approached Wang Xuelian with a sweet, charming smile, and then suddenly delivered a sharp slap to her face.

Shocked, Wang Xuelian’s eyes went wide as she stammered, “You...”

She felt she had only spoken the truth, yet this woman actually dared to strike her!

“I am not just going to hit you; I am going to kick you as well!” Yun Chutian’s foot slammed into Wang Xuelian’s chest, sending her crashing to the floor. Lifting her chin, she mused, “Now I finally understand why Mother enjoys kicking people so much...”

“Cough, cough!”

Wang Xuelian spat out two mouthfuls of blood, turning toward Yun Nianfeng with a look of agony. “Young Master Nianfeng, are you not going to keep her in check?”

After all, hadn't she only spoken for his benefit?

“It is useless to appeal to Brother Nianfeng. He chooses to pamper and adore me, so I can be as willful as I please! Since you spoke ill of me, I will pay you back with a beating!”

Because she was cherished, she had every right to be unreasonable and headstrong.

“That is enough!” Ouyang Xun’s composure returned as he shouted coldly. “Yun Chutian, do not forget that Yue’er’s Master is Yun Luofeng, one of the True Gods of this Continent. Do you believe everything is settled just because that boy defeated the Elders of our Tianhuang City? When Yue’er summons her Master, I want to see how arrogant you can remain!”

Ouyang Yue’er turned deathly pale, her heart trembling with fear. Despite her terror, she could not afford to reveal her true feelings at this moment.

“Are you certain your Master gave you that book?” Yun Chutian turned her gaze toward Ouyang Yue with a freezing smile. “I will give you one more opportunity to tell the truth.”

Biting her lip, Ouyang Yue replied, “Yes.”

She refused to admit that Yun Chutian had been the one to give her that book in the past. The issue was that the book contained several concepts she couldn't grasp, so she had simply left it lying around. She thought she had concealed it well, so how did that brat manage to find it?

Yun Chutian let out a laugh. Her expression was lively and adorable, her eyes curving into crescents that made her look incredibly spirited.

“If your Master were anyone else, I might have to struggle to find them. However, the person you are referring to... you will likely encounter her very shortly.”

Ouyang Yue’er’s eyes widened in surprise.

What was the meaning of that?

Why would she be meeting her so soon?

Just as the crowd was reeling from the shock, the roar of a dragon echoed from the heavens. The sound was so powerful it shook the sky, drawing every citizen out from their homes.

Ouyang Xun’s face turned white as a sheet. A flicker of terror passed through his eyes as he hurried out of the palace.

Following Ouyang Xun’s lead, the others rushed outside, staring up at the massive white dragon in the sky with fear in their hearts.

“It is that dragon!” Ouyang Xun recognized it instantly; it was the same creature that had carried Yun Chutian away before. He remembered a lady in white standing atop the dragon then. However, because her face was shrouded in mist and he had been desperate to escape, he hadn't seen her features clearly.

The white dragon circled through the heavens, the radiant light from its body illuminating the darkness of the night sky.
