Ghost Emperor Wild Wife: Dandy Eldest Miss Chapter 2: Yun Familys Eldest Miss (2)

Previously on Ghost Emperor Wild Wife: Dandy Eldest Miss...
In the Longyuan Kingdom, the celebrated General Yun Luo returns home after his victorious campaign, only to rush back to the General's Estate due to his daughter's tumultuous past. The Eldest Miss, Yun Luofeng, once considered a disgrace and nearly driven to suicide after her scandalous actions led to the Crown Prince annulling their engagement, has survived but changed. Recently, she has sequestered herself, now harboring the memories of her original self from another world. As Yun Luo arrives, tensions mount, driven by his daughter's troubled reputation and her unexpected transformation.

A wicked smirk played across the young girl's lips as she slowly sat upright on the artificial hill.

The original Yun Luofeng had been so deeply infatuated with the Crown Prince that she fell for a simple trick. Had that man’s physique not been so identical to the prince’s, and had he not been wearing the prince's specific attire, she never would have mistaken him for her beloved. She wouldn't have lunged forward to embrace him, only to be slapped with the accusation of molesting a handsome stranger.

Naturally, the public's misunderstanding of Yun Luofeng’s relationship with that stranger didn't stem from that alone.

Crucially, the moment she grabbed him, the man began shouting at the top of his lungs. He claimed the Yun Family’s Eldest Miss was relentlessly harassing him and attempting to force him into becoming her boy-toy. Lacking eloquence and paralyzed by sudden panic, Yun Luofeng failed to defend herself. Her stunned silence was taken as a silent confession of the crime.

Reflecting on these memories, the girl let out a quiet sigh. "This Yun Luofeng was the noble daughter of a General, yet she was incredibly foolish! She failed to see through such a transparent trap and actually believed she could win back the Crown Prince’s heart with her own life. Without the Crown Prince’s direct orders, why would anyone be found in public wearing his personal clothes?"

As the most handsome man in the Long Yuan Kingdom, Crown Prince Gao Ling possessed exceptional talent and remarkable abilities. Given his status and prestige, how could he ever be content marrying a piece of trash?

She could sympathize with his resentment regarding the engagement.

What she found unforgivable, however, was Gao Ling’s decision to protect his reputation by framing Yun Luofeng. He had branded her as immoral, accusing her of ignoring her betrothal just to assault a pretty face.

Suddenly, Qingyan, Yun Luofeng’s personal maidservant, came running toward her. The panic on her face shifted to pure relief the moment she spotted the young girl perched on the hill. Panting heavily as she reached Yun Luofeng, she gasped, "Miss, the Master General has come home! He has ordered you to report to the study immediately."

"Grandfather is back?"

Yun Luofeng paused for a moment. It had slipped her mind that today was the day of Great General Yun Luo’s glorious return! This was the very day the original owner of this body had been anticipating with all her heart. Tragically, she had perished due to a scheme before she could reunite with her grandfather, whom she had missed desperately for ten long years.

"Let's go then. Lead the way so I can see the old man!"

Snapping back to reality, she reached out and pinched Qingyan’s apple-like cheeks. A mischievous grin lit up her breathtaking face.

Before the dazed Qingyan could even respond, Yun Luofeng was already walking toward the study.

...

Inside the study of the General Estate, a gray-haired old man sat in his chair with an unreadable expression. His solemn gaze was fixed upon the girl in white standing before him.

Yun Luofeng stood there, letting out a lazy yawn. She had been in the room for half an hour already. Throughout that entire time, General Yun Luo had remained silent, doing nothing but staring at her with a stony face. Since the General refused to speak, Yun Luofeng saw no reason to break the silence herself.

Eventually, General Yun Luo’s temper reached its limit. With a heavy, stern expression, he demanded, "I have been told of your recent indecent behavior in public. Don't you think you owe me an explanation?"

"What sort of explanation are you looking for?" She chuckled softly. "If you prefer to trust the rumors on the street over your own granddaughter, then whatever you heard is the truth. I have nothing to explain."

"Presumptuous!"

With a loud bang, General Yun Luo slammed his hand down, the force of his blow splitting the wooden desk right down the middle. The furniture was the first casualty of the old man's exploding rage.
