Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world Chapter 642: An alive mama?
Ravene stood near the foot of the bed and began to dress while Brandon remained seated at the desk, watching her in silence.
She first stepped into a pair of soft black shorts, bending slightly as she pulled them up over her hips.
Next she reached for a loose, oversized t-shirt. She lifted it over her head and let it fall down her body.
When she finished, she smoothed the hem of the t-shirt once with both hands and turned toward him.
"Done. Satisfied?"
Brandon stood up from the chair.
Ravene crossed the short distance between them. She rose onto her toes, slid her arms around his neck, and looked up at him.
"Come here," she murmured, and pressed her lips to his.
Brandon’s hands slid down her back, over the curve of her hips, and slipped beneath the waistband of both her shorts and panties.
His palms met the warm, bare skin of her ass.
He gripped both cheeks firmly, his fingers sinking into the soft flesh, and pulled her tighter against him while the kiss deepened.
Ravene made a soft sound against his mouth.
"Mm... your hands are cold."
"They won’t be for long," he said against her lips.
Then, without breaking the contact of their mouths, he began to push the fabric downward.
The shorts and panties slid over the full curves of her ass and down her thighs together.
Cool air touched her ass as the clothing dropped to her knees and then to the floor.
Ravene’s breath caught softly against his lips "Maybe we should have anal later."
With a chuckle, he nodded "Sure, dear."
---
The backyard had filled out completely by the time the last of the food was set down.
Amelia sat near the middle of the long table, carefully pouring tea into the first few cups.
Florence sat beside her while Elize was sitting with one leg crossed as she quietly watched the others settle in.
Charlotte was sitting beside Elize while Ravene sat close to Brandon.
Brandon himself occupied the center of one side with a cup already in front of him as he leaned back slightly in his chair.
Dhayun, Yverine, and Jiyeon had clustered together a little further down while picking at the snacks that had already been laid out.
Then footsteps approached from the direction of the house.
Selene stepped into the backyard first, Eira just half a step behind her.
Seeing Brandon, Selene hurriedly rushed toward him "Papa!"
Brandon looked up just as she reached him.
"You didn’t say you had a Mama."
Freya, who had been in the middle of pouring another cup of tea, glanced at her daughter in confusion.
"Mama? Selene... everyone has a mama. You have me, so obviously your father should have also had a Mama-"
"An alive Mama."
The backyard went quiet.
Freya’s hand stopped mid-motion over the teapot.
Amelia, sitting beside her, slowly turned her head toward Selene "...What?"
Freya was taken back to hear this "An alive...?"
Selene stood in front of Brandon with her arms slightly tensed at her sides, still looking directly at him.
"I just found out from them."
She briefly glanced toward Eira and the others. "You have a mother. She’s alive. Her name is Marzella. And she’s in a coma."
Amelia set her cup down a little too carefully.
"Kael’s mother is still alive?" she asked, looking between Selene and Brandon.
"Since when? Why is this the first time we’re hearing about it?"
Freya turned to look at Brandon "Husband, is that true?"
Selene stepped forward "Why didn’t you tell us? Why didn’t you tell ?"
Looking at the three of them, Brandon let out a soft sigh "It’s true... she is in a coma right now."
Freya’s fingers tightened slightly around the edge of the teapot while Amelia sat back a little in her chair, processing the words.
"And I just thought that I would tell you later," Brandon continued.
"Because you just found out about the whole time thing and everything that happened five hundred years ago. I didn’t want to dump something else on top of that immediately."
He glanced briefly at Selene before looking back at Freya and Amelia.
"She’s been in that state for a while now. There’s no sudden recovery that required an emergency conversation. So I waited. That was the only reason."
Selene’s gaze narrowed slightly "That’s not a small thing to just ’wait’ on. She’s your mother. That means she’s my grandmother. And none of us even knew she existed."
Freya let out a deep breath. "So I have a mother-in-law?"
Meanwhile, Amelia’s gaze lowered or a moment before she looked at Brandon. "Can we see her? Maybe... tomorrow?"
Turning to her, he nodded with a smile "Sure."
Elize and Ravene exchanged a brief glance across the table. Both of them gave a faint nod of their own, neither interrupting.
Meanwhile, Selene huffed in anger, and without another word, she turned around and walked away from the table.
"Selene-"
He stood up and called her, but she didn’t stop.
"Selene."
Brandon called after her again, but she still didn’t respond.
She reached the edge of the backyard and continued into the house without slowing down.
Brandon immediately followed after her into the house.
Seeing this, Yverine smiled dryly "Maybe I shouldn’t have brought up Aunt Marzella during our convo."
Freya glanced at her and shook her head "No, no, it’s alright. Don’t worry about her getting mad... she is her dad’s girl; she will come back crawling to him."
"But again, I didn’t really expect that his mother is still alive."
---
Just as Selene turned toward the hallway leading further inside, he gently caught her wrist.
"Selene."
She stopped, and for a second she didn’t turn around.
"That’s enough. Stop."
She turned her head slightly, just enough to look at him from the side "Don’t talk to me, Papa."
Selene finally turned a little more toward him and her gaze narrowed in frustration "Why do you always hide things from us?"
"I’ve been with you for years. I grew up around you, followed you, stayed beside you. And the entire time, you never once told me you had a mother."
Her fingers curled slightly at her side.
"Every time I think I finally know you, something like this comes out. And it hurts more than you think it does."
"I’m not a child you need to protect from every truth."
Her voice tightened further.
"When I think I know everything about you... and then I find out you’ve been hiding something this important... it makes me feel like I never really knew you at all."
With a soft sigh, he shook his head "It’s not that I didn’t want you to know. I never planned on keeping it from you forever."
"After I came back here, everything happened too fast, and in the middle of all that, I kept telling myself I would bring it up when things settled."
"I just... never found the right opportunity after returning. Every time I thought about saying it, something else was already happening."
Selene’s gaze condensed further "That’s still a choice... even if you didn’t mean it that way."
Brandon nodded his head "I know. I’m only saying it wasn’t because I didn’t trust you with it. Or because I thought you couldn’t handle it. I just kept waiting for a cleaner moment that never really came."
Selene looked at him for a long second, "You should have just said it," she muttered.
"I should have," he agreed without hesitation.
She glanced away after a moment with a slight pout "...I will forgive you if you come with me for fishing later."
With a chuckle, he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer "Absolutely."
