Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world Chapter 5 5: In a weird place [1]

Brandon's eyes blinked in shock as he struggled to grasp the bizarre shift.
The lush park's greenery had completely disappeared, replaced by a shadowy, barren rocky plain extending endlessly into the distance.
Thick black clouds dominated the sky overhead, and a sudden crimson lightning bolt flashed, briefly lighting up the desolate terrain.
Uneven and coarse ground lay under his feet, with sharp rocks spiking out haphazardly like fractured bones.
Faint violet cracks glowed dimly across patches of charred soil.
His eyes narrowed while scanning the area. 'Did.. I stumble into a Rupture by accident? Shit.'
His sneakers ground against the pebbly surface as he took a cautious step ahead.
With another step, he drew in a deep breath to steady his pounding heart, then swiftly dipped a hand into his pocket for his phone.
Yet, inside this rupture, no signal appeared for him to make a call.
'How do I get out? Slay the monsters here or what?'
A far-off noise shattered Brandon's racing thoughts.
"Grrr!" A deep, rumbling growl reverberated across the craggy landscape.
His gaze snapped to the sound's origin, spotting two prowling creatures nearby.
Unlike the monsters from scarce TV shows or the one from five years back, these differed greatly.
Far more nightmarish and distorted, they seemed stitched from the darkest dreams.
Jagged plates resembling bone armored their forms, while long limbs tipped with deadly claws.
Featureless faces brimmed with lines of needle-sharp teeth.
'Shit...'
The monsters locked onto him instantly, one unleashing a savage snarl before charging straight at him.
"GUAARGHH!"
Long limbs drove it ahead at horrifying velocity, claws gouging deep furrows in the stone as it hurtled closer.
Brandon had scarcely a moment to respond.
Pure instinct took over, twisting his frame sharply left as the beast's talons slashed empty air where he'd stood.
The attack's gust whipped his skin. 'Fuck.'
He dropped to one knee on landing, yet no pause allowed for balance.
From the other side, the second monster pounced, its maw gaping to expose jagged fangs.
Leaping back, Brandon tumbled over the rough ground, dodging the chomping bite by a hair.
*THOOM* The beast's heavy impact vibrated through the earth under him.
Once his roll ended, he leaped upright.
Fear gripped him, but his form flowed smoothly from self-defense classes and martial arts learned to guard against aggressive women.
No professional brawler, yet his quickness and reactions shone as top strengths.
*swoosh* The initial beast rose and struck once more, sweeping low with enormous claws this time.
Brandon crouched deep, knees flexing low to evade the strike.
*BOOM* A cloud of dust and rubble burst skyward as the monster smashed earthward, clouding sight briefly.
Brandon ignored the settling haze.
From his squat, he exploded upward, spinning on one foot to fling himself clear using the force.
'I can't evade them indefinitely.'
He veered sideways in erratic zigzags, turning into a tougher mark.
Sneakers scraped over gravel while weaving past sharp obstacles.
Every bump and dip Brandon exploited, vaulting stones and ducking overhangs to widen the gap.
Eyes scanned wildly for edges, gaps, tools—any edge possible.
His stare fixed on a slim rock spire rising like fangs from the dirt.
Dangerous gamble, yet his sole choice.
Toward the spire Brandon bolted, the lead beast snapping at his heels.
'Fuck, Fuck, it's right behind me.. for fuck's sake.' Without slowing, at the rocks' foot he braced a sole on a protrusion and launched skyward.
Coarse rock bit into his hands while he clambered higher.
"Haa..." Adrenaline surged as Brandon hauled himself up.
Whirling around, he witnessed the beast collide full-force with the spire, momentum unchecked.
*THOOOM* Shockwaves rippled the soil from the crash, though the fiend rebounded fast.
No respite came; the beasts now scaled the rocks after him.
'Damn it...'
Then, peripheral vision caught a distant sparkle of faint blue energy.
Huh? Squinting, he made out a woman clashing in combat afar. 'Good call.'
Regardless of his nimbleness and suppleness... overpowering these beasts lay beyond his might.
Moreover, he lacked the endurance to keep fleeing indefinitely.
Thus, at this moment, his only hope rested with the woman locked in combat.
"Huff..." Drawing in a deep breath, he leaped from the outcrop and sprinted toward the woman.
In the meantime, the pair of creatures kept scaling the outcrop while hunting for him, unaware that he had vaulted to the far side and was making his escape.
Brandon raced at top speed toward the woman engaged in battle.
Her black hair whipped wildly as she leaped about, evading the monster's assaults.
The beast confronting her differed from the one pursuing Brandon.
Larger in size, its hide was covered in black plating, with spikes protruding from its forearms and shoulders.
*SLEESH* Every claw slash generated shockwaves that shattered the stone floor below.
Observing this scene, Brandon's eyes sharpened. 'Looks like she's struggling against that monster...'
He scanned the area and spotted another woman collapsed unconscious nearby.
The black-haired youth detected his approach and whipped her head in his direction.
Huh? Her gaze sharpened in shock. 'Why's a civilian in a rupture? Must've stumbled in by mistake.'
*SLEESH* Yet she had no leisure to ponder, dodging the monster's blow in a flash.
Clenching her dagger firmly, she spun her form and stabbed it deep into the creature's throat.
Tiny arcs of blue lightning power flickered across her frame, surging into the monster and stunning it briefly.
She shot a look at Brandon and shouted, "Can you wake that bitch up? She suddenly fainted... I think it's Cardiac arrest."
What the fuck?
Brandon, nearly upon her, froze in shock and eyed the short blonde-haired young woman sprawled on the ground.
'Alright, I'll rouse her... they'll handle the monsters together, and we'll get out...'
He pivoted swiftly toward the blonde and charged her way.
Brandon's sneakers grated over the rough terrain as he slid to a halt next to the blonde woman.
He sank to his knees, gazing at her limp form on her back—her complexion ashen, slick with perspiration.
Cardiac arrest?
His fingers shook faintly as he placed two against her neck, right under the jaw.
He endured tense seconds of waiting.
Nothing.
'No breath. No heartbeat. Damn, this is serious.'
CPR?
He recalled the fundamentals from a first-aid class long ago, though classroom drills paled against real-world urgency.
Even so, he had no other option.
Inhaling deeply, he sprang into motion.
Gently tilting her head to clear the airway, he recalled the procedure as well as possible.
Next, he sealed her nostrils and pressed his mouth to hers, breathing air in.
The sensation of blowing air into her felt odd, yet he ignored the discomfort.
One breath. Two breaths.
H-Huh?
All at once, a rush of energy flooded his body, widening his eyes in astonishment.
He withdrew his mouth and stared at the pale blue energy swirling over him.
Ether?
