Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world Chapter 498: Goddess?

Soft morning rays gently pierced the fabric of the modest travel tent, filling the interior with a delicate ambiance.
Within, Brandon and Rheanne occupied the shared bedroll.
Rheanne's lengthy, white eyelashes slowly parted, and she blinked a few times, taking in her surroundings.
For a brief spell, she remained perfectly still, cherishing the comforting warmth radiating from Brandon's body against her cheek.
Brandon was deeply asleep, lying on his back with one arm casually placed behind his head, his bare chest rising and falling in a steady, unhurried rhythm.
Rheanne's head found a comfortable resting place on his shoulder.
Her fingers shifted subtly against his waist, idly drawing small, absentminded circles on his skin.
He stirred slightly in his slumber, a soft sigh escaping his lips as he unconsciously drew nearer to her.
His free arm moved instinctively across her back, pulling her a touch closer.
A faint smile graced Rheanne's lips.
She remained in this position for some time, simply observing him with a playful spark in her eyes.
Eventually, Brandon began to stir from his deep sleep.
His eyelids fluttered open, then slowly gave way.
He blinked a few times, his eyes adjusting to the gentle morning light that permeated the tent's walls.
Turning his gaze to Rheanne, a small, sleep-laced smile touched his lips.
"...Morning."
"Good morning."
Brandon's arm tightened slightly around her back, holding her close for a few more moments.
"Sleep well?" he inquired softly.
Rheanne gave a nod, her fingers continuing their lazy tracing on his waist. "Yes. You make a very comfortable pillow."
Brandon emitted a low chuckle. "Let's sleep a little more."

THOOM-
A resounding, thunderous noise reverberated through the dungeon passageway as Brandon annihilated a cluster of grotesque humanoid abominations.
These creatures were horrifying, possessing elongated limbs, pallid, cracked skin stretched taut over bulging musculature, and sharp crystalline protrusions erupting from their shoulders and spines.
Brandon surged forward with explosive speed, and the foremost aberrant lunged at him, its claws extended.
Brandon executed a swift duck, slipping beneath the sweeping attack, and then drove his elbow upwards with immense force into the creature’s jaw.
The collision produced a gruesome CRACK, shattering bone and crystal alike, violently snapping the aberrant’s head backward.
Before it could even begin to react, Brandon pivoted and unleashed a vicious spinning kick to its midsection, propelling the monster through the air to collide with two of its companions.
THOOM!
All three abominations were sent tumbling along the dungeon walls before erupting in a violent explosion.
Another group of four creatures charged from the left flank.
He sprang into the air, twisting his body mid-leap, and descended with a crushing knee strike aimed at the lead aberrant’s face.
The creature’s skull imploded with a sickening, wet crunch, driven straight into the ground below.
Before the remaining beasts could respond, Brandon landed with ethereal lightness and immediately darted forward.
He seized one aberrant by the arm, yanked it violently forward, and slammed his elbow into its throat.
Spinning on his heel, he delivered a potent back kick to another, blasting it backward against a nearby wall.
CRACK- BOOM!
The wall disintegrated under the impact as the aberrant slid down its surface, leaving a slick trail of dark blood and shattered crystal in its wake.
The final two monstrosities attempted to outmaneuver him, seeking to flank his position.
He drove an uppercut into the chin of the first one, launching it vertically off the ground.
Before it could descend, he seamlessly followed up with a spinning roundhouse kick that smashed it sideways into its partner.
Both abominations collapsed onto the ground in a mangled heap.
Brandon offered them no opportunity to recuperate.
As another creature lunged towards him, he seized its head and smashed his knee into its face, obliterating it instantly.
The entire group was reduced to ruin in under thirty seconds.
Brandon stood amidst the wreckage, brushing imaginary dust from his attire.
As Rheanne approached him from the opposite side of the cleared space, he turned to face her, wiping a smudge of dirt from his cheek.
"Clear on your end?"
Rheanne offered a slight shrug. "Mhm. They were easy."
Brandon stretched his arms overhead, tilting his head slightly. "You still haven’t provided an answer to the question I posed to you yesterday."
Rheanne released a soft sigh, crossing her arms and regarding him with a gaze that mingled exasperation and deep affection.
"Don't be ridiculous, Kael... I don't entertain such notions."
She shook her head, a faint smile playing on her lips. "Building a church in my honor? That would be utterly mortifying..."
"The populace already refers to me as 'Goddess' due to my ability to wield ether... I have no desire for them to venerate me as a true deity. The existing churches dedicated to the Sun and the land are perfectly adequate."
Brandon sighed internally, reflecting, 'From my two years of intimate experience with her, I've come to understand... she harbors absolutely no intention of assuming the role of a 'Goddess.' '
Rheanne engages in combat because she firmly believes it is her inherent duty to safeguard lives, and it is for this reason that she has been bestowed with the extraordinary power to wield ether.
She accepted the title of 'Goddess' with a reluctantly graceful demeanor, primarily because the designation had already gained widespread traction, yet she never actively encouraged its propagation.
She never sought out temples, nor did she ever call for prayer, nor did she desire to be elevated beyond what she perceived as her fundamental duty.
'But I cannot simply let this go... she must ascend to become a Goddess.'
'Having observed that she holds no intention of becoming a God, I immediately grasped that within this paradoxical timeline... it is I who am determined for her to achieve divinity.'
'Haa... truly, damn my existence.'
As he approached her, he spoke, "I comprehend. You do not desire their worship. Your sole aim is to safeguard people. However... at times, the world requires a symbol, a tangible figure to whom prayers can be directed."
As he drew nearer, she gently pushed against his chest, stating, "...I grasp your meaning, but still... I do not wish for that sort of attention."
Taking her hand with tenderness, he drew her closer, "Listen to me. You are already encountering that kind of attention; you simply need to embrace it. The populace already bestows upon you the title 'Goddess' due to your capabilities."
"They implore your protection even though you have never sought to be their savior. To disregard it will not make it vanish. It will only leave them without a true beacon when all else crumbles."
Rheanne's eyes darted, "Kael... I engage in battle because it is a necessity. Because the monstrous onslaught never ceases. As I've stated, the established churches dedicated to the Sun and the land have endured for ages. They suffice."
Brandon's thumb grazed her knuckles as he murmured, "The dimensional rifts are intensifying. Dungeons and towers are manifesting with increasing frequency. The populace lives in fear. They require an individual in whom they can place their faith."
"Not merely a distant celestial phenomenon, but someone tangible and real."
Rheanne remained silent for a considerable duration.
Observing her, a soft sigh escaped his lips, "It is permissible if you do not wish it. My apologies for pressuring you in this manner. Let us disregard it..."
"Let us conclude this dungeon expedition swiftly and depart."
