Zhang Youting averted her eyes, her cheeks burning even brighter, making it hard not to jump to conclusions.
“You two…” Ye Feng sounded hesitant and doubtful.
Chen Xuan snapped out of it first. “Don’t overthink it. I’ve been exhausted lately. I had Youting give me a massage and knead my shoulders during my bath…”
Ye Feng let out a relieved breath. “Good, as long as it’s not some girl-on-girl thing…”
“You’re the one into girl-on-girl stuff!” Chen Xuan shot Ye Feng a fierce look.
“Wait!” Ye Feng suddenly spotted the oddity. “Sister Xuan, why are you bathing midday, and right here in the office?”
Chen Xuan clearly felt wronged. She started venting right away, “It’s all due to some irresponsible guy who’s been slacking off. He’s dumped all the duties for Lingyun Real Estate and the Zhonghai branch of Taigu Mall onto me. I end up working late all the time, and occasionally pull all-nighters right in the office!”
“Boss, President Chen’s been dealing with tons of stress lately. She pulled an all-nighter at the office yesterday and barely got two hours of sleep. She finally got a short break earlier, so she decided to shower and catch a quick nap…” Zhang Youting rushed to clarify.
A pang hit Ye Feng’s heart. He strode forward without delay, drawing Chen Xuan close into his arms. With one arm around her, he used the other to feel her pulse and assess her health.
Once he’d examined Chen Xuan’s state, he confirmed that Zhang Youting and Chen Xuan were telling the truth. Her body was on the brink of breaking down from overwork. A wave of distress and remorse washed over him instantly. “Why are you such a fool? Money can always be made again, but once your health gives out, it’s gone for good!”
“Go rest right now. I’ll tune up your body while you do!”
With those words, Ye Feng guided Chen Xuan to the sofa, shifting her as though preparing to apply some pressure.
“No way, I’ve already taken nearly an hour off. I can’t afford more rest!” Chen Xuan resisted lying down.

“Boss, you have no idea!” Zhang Youting began to elaborate, but then her phone buzzed.
The desk phone outside Chen Xuan’s office, belonging to Zhang Youting, started ringing.
“Sorry, boss. Probably an urgent matter. I’ll take it.” Zhang Youting hurried out to pick up the line.
Her face soured swiftly after answering.
“Sister Xuan, get dressed quick. That Chen fellow’s back!”
As Zhang Youting spoke, she tugged Chen Xuan back into the lounge. They switched to business suits and returned.
Ye Feng remained clueless about what was happening.
When the pair stepped out in their outfits, with Chen Xuan’s forehead still wrinkled, he pressed right away, “What’s this about?”
“Who’s this Chen guy?”
“Chen Shimei, the vice chairman’s son from South Guangdong Fenghua Jewelry.” Chen Xuan gave a quick rundown.
Zhang Youting chimed in fast, “He’s got big plans and is chasing Sister Xuan amid Lingyun Real Estate’s troubles. He’s even aiming to leverage her clout to grab control of South Guangdong Fenghua Jewelry Group!”
“He’s hounded Sister Xuan relentlessly on multiple occasions. Despite her constant rejections, he keeps pushing his luck!”
“He’s apparently skilled in martial arts. Unless he crosses a line, our security team can’t touch him!”
Ye Feng got a rough sense of it, yet before he could probe more, footsteps echoed nearer.
