Gui Ya whipped a pistol from his waistband and unleashed three blasts toward the heavens!

Suddenly, the villagers' resolve began to falter.
The more cowardly among them recoiled right away, their gazes brimming with terror.
After all, it was a handgun.

“I’ll fire it whenever I want. What're you gonna do about it?” Gui Ya swung the pistol toward Hai Fugui. “Think I won't pull the trigger on you?!”
Hai Fugui's frame shook violently. “Killing me won't save you from a bad fate!”
Gui Ya appeared unconcerned. He smirked coldly. “I could end you whenever, but you're not my target!”
With those words, his gaze shifted back to Ye Feng.
“I'm after the cash!”
Yet Ye Feng remained utterly unfazed. He even flashed a mocking grin at Zhuang Xiaoqiao. “Make sure you record some footage.”
“This is prime evidence for the charges.”
Zhuang Xiaoqiao looked as if a lightbulb had gone off. She gave a nod, like she'd grasped the point. Pulling out her phone, she began recording Gui Ya.
“You bastard!” Spotting this, fury sparked in Gui Ya's eyes. “Kid, you think I'm bluffing? That I won't shoot for real?!”
He swung the barrel down to Ye Feng's feet and squeezed off two rounds, barely a meter from where Ye Feng stood!
“One final warning. Get on your knees, beg my forgiveness, and fork over that hidden method!”
“Or the next bullet hits your kneecap!”
Ye Feng's face stayed perfectly calm.
Hai Fugui, Hai Ling’er, and the rest pushed down their dread and chimed in.
“Gui Ya, don't get too cocky. Gun or no gun, you don't run this place!” Hai Fugui shot Gui Ya a fierce glare.
“Unless you wipe us all out right now, if you harm anyone, I'll report it straight to the authorities and ensure you pay dearly!”
Hai Ling’er nodded vigorously too. “Exactly, you can't just throw your weight around! Gun in hand or not, we're standing our ground!”
“Evil always gets its comeuppance!” Hai Xiaoyao showed no fear, small as he was!
Gui Ya's expression darkened to a stormy gray.
But before Gui Ya could retort, Yang Wei jumped in.
She creased her brow and declared, “Village Chief, Ling’er, Xiaoyao, look, what's this beef between Brother Gui Ya and those two strangers got to do with us?”
“Let them hash it out on their own. Why stick your noses in and tick off big brother Gui Ya?”
Right beside her, the quiet Hai Li finally piped up. “I'll play fair here. My wife's not off base.”
“Plain and simple, this spat's between those outsiders and Boss Gui Ya. Our village isn't involved.”
“No reason to dive into that mess…”
But Hai Ling’er cut him off before he finished. “You two dragged Gui Ya into this, didn't you?!”
“Out of everyone here, only your family would pull a stunt like that!”
“Quit acting all innocent!”
Hai Xiaoyao piled on fast. “You just hate seeing big brother Ye Feng and the rest succeed. You're envious they snagged the White Jade Sea Cucumber!”
“You little punks, quit accusing us!” Hai Li and Yang Wei clearly were freaking out!
“Who, who sold us out?!”
“No proof, no talk!”
Ye Feng grinned at the scene.
“Seems the real story's out in the open now!”
Gui Ya noticed and scowled, raising his aim at Ye Feng, but in a flash, Ye Feng was upon him like a whirlwind, snatching the gun and sending him flying with a kick.
