Fairy Tail: Igneel's eldest son in Anime Multiverse Chapter 498 498: Demon World Travelogue
Previously on Fairy Tail: Igneel's eldest son in Anime Multiverse...
Upon Yusuke Urameshi's return to the Human World, he discovered that Charles and Stella had not come back alongside him.
By that moment, the Spirit World's elite special assault squad had nearly completed the restoration of the Demon World Tunnel.
Previously, due to Yusuke's demonic reincarnation, King Enma had commanded his destruction, fearing a threat to the Human World.
However, Koenma's fierce resistance—and crucially, Yusuke's overwhelming reincarnated power—prevented the Spirit World's special assault unit from launching a direct assault.
It was solely because Yusuke showed no savage tendencies; had he done so, they would have clashed with him in a deadly battle.
At this juncture, halting the seal repairs was out of the question for them.
Luckily, Koenma spoke up just in time: "You don't need to worry about Charles," averting an imminent clash.
In truth, Charles and his companions were essentially enjoying a leisurely tour through the Demon World.
Raizen, being one of the three Demon World kings who dominated the land, was known even to the weakest demons for his location.
After inquiring and verifying their destination, Charles and Stella took their time heading to Raizen's territory, sightseeing along the route.
The immense Demon World required over ten days for the pair to arrive at Raizen's domain.
Naturally, they encountered numerous bizarre and astonishing wonders en route.
Besides demons, the Demon World boasts peculiar plants and creatures that create a one-of-a-kind ecosystem.
While Demon World beasts resemble Human World animals in appearance, their power levels are vastly superior. Certain ones rival even advanced demons.
The resources from these beasts are premium quality too, allowing Charles to fill his ring's internal storage space.
Demon World flora proves even more extraordinary—utterly strange and diverse.
One type features an incredibly lengthy growth period, growing so enormous that its crown upholds over 20 square kilometers of terrain: the hundred-million-year tree, which preserves life force even in fossilized form.
In the canon storyline, the Demon World Unification Tournament's arena rested on an island held aloft by a hundred-million-year tree.
Passing areas dotted with these colossal trees piercing the heavens, Charles and Stella couldn't help but gawk at nature's marvels.
The biggest tree Charles had ever witnessed was the massive one on Tenrou Island, yet it paled compared to a hundred-million-year tree. True to its name, only eons spanning hundreds of millions of years could produce such a phenomenon.
Yet among Demon World's exotic plants, hundred-million-year trees aren't the standout oddity.
After all, Kurama's ultimate ability involves commanding Demon World plants, and Charles spotted several of those he'd wielded as arms in their wild state during the journey.
It's no surprise Kurama views them as weapons; they're inherently lethal. Certain regions turn into lethal traps from these plants, shunned even by demons.
To Charles, however, every one serves as prime material.
Pausing and proceeding at leisure, Charles and Stella finally entered the realm governed by the Demon World's mightiest demon.
As a dominant pillar upholding a sector of the Demon World, Charles immediately felt the stark contrast upon stepping into this nation.
The Demon World's three supreme powers revolve around Raizen, Mukuro, and Yomi as unyielding centers. Each territory's essence hinges on its ruler's presence.
This setup defies human norms but fits demons to perfection.
Consequently, every nation mirrors its king's nature completely.
Thus, the buildings and inhabitants here exude simplicity and sternness. Still, Charles perceived that the local demons far outclassed those from elsewhere.
Demons naturally eyed the two humans with hostility upon their entry into a demon realm. Yet, since Raizen abstained from human flesh, no immediate assaults occurred.
That said, they wouldn't tolerate Charles roaming freely. Soon, crowds of demons amassed, obstructing his way before long.
Charles figured the author envisioned this land as a haven for ascetic demons.
They donned identical robes, many bald-headed too. Most emitted formidable demonic energy; encircled by them brought intense pressure.
A sturdy one-horned demon on his brow demanded: "Who are you? What business do you have in our country?"
"We're travelers," Charles answered. "We've come specifically to pay our respects to Battle God Raizen!"
As Charles anticipated, suspicion etched every face.
Raizen's lifespan dwindled after centuries without food, a fact no secret.
In such precarious times, they'd never allow easy access to Raizen. These humans might be spies from Yomi or Mukuro.
"Get out," the one-horned demon snapped coldly. "You're not welcome in our country!"
"What a hassle," Charles sighed. "I never said I needed your welcome."
At once, Charles unleashed his inner magic. A howling gale like a dragon's bellow hurled the encircling demons skyward.
The atmosphere quaked from Charles's magic pressure, scattering the demons in chaos.
Charles lifted his gaze toward the distant stone tower—a tall, tapered pinnacle with a lone path from its peak linking to a unique stone fortress.
The moment Charles released his magic, a demonic aura erupted from that fortress, confronting him remotely.
Stella acted, lifting her hand to halt the fist aimed at Charles.
A bald figure had abruptly materialized, unleashing a ruthless strike.
This bald warrior was Raizen's trusted aide, the S-class demon Hokushin. Detecting Charles's threat, he attacked instantly, only to discover the blocking human girl was equally formidable.
Charles grinned faintly. "Looks like I've been invited. It would be rude not to accept."
"Go on ahead, Charles," Stella urged, clenching her fist. "Leave this side to me. I haven't really stretched in a while—my body's getting sluggish."
"Have fun," Charles nodded. "I'll go meet our host."
Enveloped in flames, Charles rocketed upward and soared toward the far-off tower.
Hokushin's face shifted as he lunged to block, but Stella's fire dragon was already lunging at him.
"Your opponent is me!" Stella proclaimed, calling forth the Feilong Sin Sword.
The blaze faded as Charles touched down on the tower's walkway. He boldly shoved open the massive door etched with terrifying carvings.
Daylight poured from the entrance into the shadowy chamber, revealing the figure on a simple seat.
Long silver locks cascaded down his back. Under a yellow-brown band, hollow eyes and demonic tattoos spanned half his visage.
Markings adorned his exposed torso too, though shrunken muscles made them appear feeble.
Within, the odd rumbling heard outside intensified—it stemmed from the hunger growls in the seated man's gut.
This embodied Raizen's present form, once the supreme demon hailed as Battle God.
