Leo Ray and his group arrive at the headquarters of the Throne Corridor, a magnificent Sky Island. They observe other powerful factions gathering before a colossal city gate. While waiting for entry, Leo Ray notes the presence of allies and engages in casual conversation, unaware other allied leaders have also arrived.

Capítulo 2912: Chapter 1593: Before the Giant City Gate (2)

The other factions aligning with us subsequently arrived, causing the vicinity before the city gates to grow increasingly vibrant.

"I must admit, witnessing over a dozen clan leaders from second-tier powers congregating like this is truly an unprecedented spectacle," Leo Ray mused inwardly, maintaining his silent observation.

While the overall atmosphere appeared remarkably cordial, reminiscent of a standard high-level assembly of various groups, an undercurrent of unease was palpable.

It was understandable; aside from the direct subordinates of the Broken Wing King, the majority of the factions present had endured significant exploitation and oppression. The Broken Wing King’s sudden summons at this particular juncture naturally fueled suspicion about his potentially sinister intentions.

"Currently, the fifteen factions allied with me, excluding the Dark Half-Elf, are those who suffered the most severe oppression from the Broken Wing King without ever yielding. Alongside them are certain factions that submitted reluctantly. Given the limited timeframe, I haven't managed to contact all of them," Leo Ray analyzed.

"However, it’s certain that many of these groups harbor resentment. Based on Lila and the others' assessments, should a conflict arise between us and the Broken Wing King, even if these factions don't side with us, they are likely to maintain neutrality, observing the unfolding events without causing us any impediment."

"In essence, barring unforeseen circumstances, our primary focus will be on confronting the devoted loyalists of the Broken Wing Clan and any emergent allied powerhouses."

Just as these thoughts crossed Leo Ray's mind, an abrupt volley of harsh curses echoed from the direction of the Teleportation Array: "Get out of my way, you useless fool!"

Following the sound, Leo Ray’s gaze landed on a powerfully built rhino strongman, standing at least three meters tall. He had shoved a young giant, whose stature was comparable to a Half-Titan, to the ground, and then scoffed, "A proper dog knows not to obstruct the path; you seem even worse than a dog!"

"Your Majesty!"

Following the young giant’s fall, his accompanying giant guards quickly assisted him to his feet.

Under the illumination of the magic sphere, it was evident that the young giant bore a crown upon his head, its surface appearing rather dim in the surrounding shadows.

Distinguishable by their characteristic mismatched eyes – one frost-colored and the other flame-colored – the young Giant King and his retinue clearly belonged to the Frost Fire Giants, a clan once decimated by the Broken Wing King.

"Back then, the Frost Fire Giants not only lost their Royal Capital and had their primary forces annihilated, but most of the Royal Family members, including the elder Giant King, perished in the conflict, leaving only a single Giant Prince to escape."

"Subsequently, this Giant Prince ascended as the new Frostfire King under the Broken Wing King’s directive, leading the Frost Fire Giants to complete submission under the Broken Wing King’s dominion. It appears this is indeed that very Giant Prince."

Leo Ray observed the young Frostfire King as he regained his footing, then shifted his attention to another imposing rhino strongman.

The latter possessed a massive rhino head, his skin appearing exceptionally coarse, and a sharp, formidable horn protruding from his nose, glinting with a fierce, cold light. Most notably, he too wore a crown, signifying his authority.

"Could this be the Giant Horned King? Rumor has it he is one of the Broken Wing King's principal enforcers and his most faithful subordinate."

With the available intelligence, Leo Ray swiftly deduced the individual's identity.

It appeared that despite the Frostfire King's submission to the Broken Wing King, his standing was evidently quite subordinate.

"It's almost comical that you still address him as 'Your Majesty' when you are clearly so incompetent," the Giant Horned King sneered.

The Giant Horned King cast a disdainful glance at the silent Frostfire King and continued, "Ah, yes. The Broken Wing King recently discovered a new ore deposit. It was initially our task to mine it. However, given our current commitments, perhaps the Frost Fire Giants could lend their assistance?"

"But we Frost Fire Giants are already overseeing the majority of the ore veins within the Throne Corridor. We lack the personnel to spare. Due to the gruelling nature of constant labor, many of our younger clansmen have never returned!"

An elder from the Frost Fire Giants stepped forward, his brow furrowed, stating, "I implore Your Majesty the Giant Horned King, do not push us too far!"

"Old fool, what right do you have to speak in my presence? When I was alongside His Majesty the Broken Wing King, brutally slaughtering your people, you weren’t nearly as bold!"

The Giant Horned King taunted, his imposing aura surging. His accompanying guards, witnessing this, immediately adopted ready stances, surrounding the Frost Fire Giants with expressions of contempt.

In terms of raw power, the Giant Horned King commanded four half-step Tier Seven experts, whereas the Frost Fire Giants had only the aged elder, revealing a pronounced disparity in strength.

"You…"

Seeing this, the defiant old giant was about to retort further, but the young Frostfire King intervened, gently restraining him.

"Your Majesty the Giant Horned King, I understand."

The young Frostfire King offered a nod, his tone remarkably calm: “Later, just inform me of the ore vein’s whereabouts, and I shall gladly lend my service to the nobility.”

“Haha, now that’s the spirit. As forces aligned with His Majesty the Broken Wing King, we ought to support one another!”

The Giant Horned King guffawed, and as he departed, he casually remarked to his companions, with no attempt at subtlety: “Let’s depart; lingering near such trash is an absolute torment.”

With those words, the Giant Horned King and his entourage exited, their mocking laughter echoing, as they swaggered away.

Observing this display, the other monarchs representing various powers naturally maintained a stoic silence or feigned ignorance.

As a principal subordinate of the Broken Wing King, the Giant Horned King’s might, though not equaling his superior’s, still surpassed the common second-tier powers.

Especially with recent trends, the disparity has grown considerably. After all, while other factions endured the Broken Wing King’s exploitation, the Giant Horned King not only escaped unscathed but also reaped benefits from the plunder.

“What are you staring at? Make way!”

The Giant Horned King’s arrogant shouts continued as he rapidly vanished beyond the colossal gates. Being a minion of the Broken Wing King, he had no need to await entry.

“That new Frostfire King is truly pitiful.”

Melody Lyon, the Foxman Clan Leader, slightly knitted her brows, then cast a glance at Lila, a playful glint in her captivating eyes: “Unlike the Stone Giant Clan Chief, who can associate with a monarch of such valor, even I feel a pang of envy.”

Having spoken, the Foxman Clan Leader directed a gaze, seemingly by chance, towards Leo Ray, even giving a coquettish wink.

Seeing this, Leo Ray inwardly offered a wry smile, then shifted his attention to the young Giant King who kept his head bowed.

Although this fellow did appear timid and somewhat inept, he had, in the end, managed to preserve the Frost Fire Giants under the Broken Wing King’s dominion without being completely annihilated by him.

Furthermore, this individual is clearly an outlier even amongst the subordinates; perhaps he could become a recruitment target for me.

After all, according to Lila and Hollis, the Frost Fire Giants, despite their complete submission to the Broken Wing King, did not adopt the arrogant demeanor of other minions and maintained a low profile.

Just as Leo Ray was contemplating this, a commander from the Broken Wing Clan strode out from the city gates, announcing with an impassive expression: “By our King’s decree, you may now prepare to enter the city.”

Upon hearing this, all the clan leaders, already simmering with impatience from the protracted wait, mustered their resolve and advanced towards the city gates.

It’s worth noting that they were all figures of authority, occupying the apex positions within their respective domains. Yet, here they were, taking orders from mere lackeys of the Broken Wing King, a situation that understandably bred discontent.

However, considering the Broken Wing King’s status as undoubtedly the most formidable monarch among the second-tier powers, commanding a vast and potent military force, who would dare to oppose him? Such an act would be akin to inviting one’s own demise!

Perceiving the swirl of intricate emotions within the various clan leaders, Leo Ray subtly raised an eyebrow and, alongside Lila and the others, proceeded towards the grand entrance.
