A mysterious cloaked figure, revealed to be an Ear-wing Erosion Eraser in disguise, intervenes to save Leo Ray and Sheila from a rampaging Demigod Corrector. The newcomer clashes with the Corrector, showcasing immense power and temporarily stabilizing the chaotic battle, though Leo Ray remains wary of their motives.

The most intense clashes occurred in the battle zone where the two were engaged, with barely discernible silhouettes clashing. Deafening sounds of energy met at every contact, shattering and collapsing the surroundings, twisting the reality into a state more distorted than the ultimate techniques of Space Series cultivators typically produced.

It was clear that the energy waves unleashed by both combatants possessed a significant degree of control. Despite the mysterious ally’s words laced with amusement, any initial unbridled arrogance seemed to have vanished.

What further astounded Leo Ray was that the mysterious ally fought with even greater ferocity, laughing wildly as he did so. He wielded no weapons, instead throwing punches relentlessly at his opponent. He appeared to hold the upper hand, showing no apprehension towards the demigod Corrector who was in an invincible state.

In contrast to the already frenzied demigod Corrector, whose eyes burned a bloody red, the mysterious ally was even more unyielding.

“Just who is this person?”

Leo Ray narrowed his eyes, his gaze fixed upon the mysterious figure concealed within a voluminous cloak.

Although this individual seemed to be fighting on their side, his sudden appearance and exceedingly erratic, peculiar actions inevitably sowed seeds of distrust.

However, as the surrounding Correctors descended further into madness, Leo Ray soon found himself enveloped by a barrage of swords and spells from all directions, plunging him back into the fierce engagement.

“Your Majesty of the Humans, I have breached the central Barrier!”

After an immeasurable period, Rosa’s triumphant voice finally echoed: “I am proceeding to obliterate the Array Eye!”

Concurrent with Rosa’s declaration, a unique energy wave emanated from the core of the Barrier Area. This wave bore a striking resemblance to the Correctors’ energy yet seemed to actively repel them.

Everywhere this wave swept, the rampaging Correctors appeared to momentarily freeze before disintegrating completely, rapidly vanishing from sight.

In a single moment, the chaotic battlefield fell into silence. Only the group of panting individuals, gripping their weapons tightly, remained, gazing into the now-empty expanse.

“Is it finally over?”

Having confirmed the complete absence of the Correctors, the assembled experts finally relaxed, leaning on their weapons and drawing deep, ragged breaths.

Meanwhile, Leo Ray’s attention shifted to the location where the demigod Corrector and the mysterious ally had engaged in their brutal combat.

Yet, apart from the lone Alchemy Puppets standing at the perimeter, the area was now as deserted as well. The demigod Corrector's disappearance was expected; even the enigmatic ally had vanished.

“Has that mysterious helper also departed?”

Fei’er drew closer, a slight arch in her brow as she inquired, “Your Majesty truly is remarkable; you even command the acquaintance of such a formidable individual.”

“To be perfectly honest, I have no idea who that person is,”

Leo Ray, seeing no reason to conceal anything from Fei’er, offered a helpless smile and stated, “But what is certain is that he rendered us immense assistance.”

“So, you also have no clue about him? I already mentioned, he seemed a bit unhinged.”

Moli approached, massaging her aching palm, and commented with a slight pout, “Engaging a Corrector who couldn't be defeated in direct combat, and seemingly relishing the fight—that’s the definition of a battle-crazed individual.”

“Younger sister Moli speaks the truth. If Your Majesty is unfamiliar with him, then things indeed seem rather peculiar,”

Fei’er agreed, a thoughtful furrow in her brow. “Not only did that individual appear out of nowhere, but let’s not forget how suddenly those Golem Puppets vanished earlier.”

“Ah? Are you suggesting a connection between the two?”

Moli, having evidently embraced her role as the ‘younger sister’, looked at Fei’er with bewilderment. “Are you implying that those initial Golem Puppets were deliberately dismantled by that madman?”

“Precisely, we cannot dismiss this possibility. It’s conceivable that this mysterious ally has been observing us since our arrival in Moon Shadow City,”

Leo Ray mused, gently stroking his chin as he nodded in contemplation.

“But if he deliberately destroyed the Golem Puppets, it logically implies he opposes us. Then why would he subsequently offer his aid?”

Moli tilted her head, her expression one of complete perplexity. “Doesn’t that present a contradiction?”

Following Moli’s question, others who had somewhat recovered, including Lila and Hollis, approached, their faces etched with confusion.

“That is precisely the crux of my own bewilderment. Judging by his subsequent actions, he doesn't exactly behave like a typical ally either,”

Leo Ray pondered deeply for a moment before relaxing his brow. He gave a slight nod and concluded, “Regardless of his motives, his intervention indicates he is not presently an enemy. For now, let us first concentrate on resolving the crisis facing the Deer-men.”

Upon hearing this, everyone concurred.

Your Majesty speaks correctly, though his departure without a word is somewhat peculiar, there is likely a reason for it; as long as he doesn’t oppose us, that’s sufficient.

Subsequently, the group relocated the Golem Puppets away, soon returning to the elevated platform that initially housed the Formation.

The twin Array Eyes, resembling full moons, had completely vanished, further indicating the successful dismantling of the Moon Shadow Magic Array.

“Your Majesty of the Humans, thanks to your assistance, I was able to smoothly connect with the core Barrier and dispel the entire Magic Array.”

Rosa, filled with gratitude, approached Leo Ray. Kneeling once more, she expressed: “Thank you, Your Majesty, for saving the Moon Shadow Deer People from the illusory dreams!”

“Please, rise quickly. We merely acted in accordance with duty; the one who truly dispelled the Magic Array was you.”

Leo Ray bowed deeply to help the frail individual stand, then glanced at the broken horn adorning their head, nodding as he spoke: “It was your resolve and perseverance that saved the Moon Shadow Deer People. Had you also succumbed to the false dreams, we might never have detected any issue upon leaving here. Indeed, the former Clan Leader of the Deer-people was renowned for his resilience; it seems that sturdy bloodline flows within you as well.”

“Your Majesty of the Humans is too kind. Meeting Your Majesty is, without a doubt, the greatest honor of my lifetime!”

Rosa’s body trembled with excitement, and she spoke with shame: “I am truly sorry, Your Majesty. I never anticipated our Ancestor would manifest from the Magic Array, nearly placing you and everyone present in mortal peril.”

“So, that demigod Corrector was indeed your Ancestor?”

Leo Ray gently patted the frail shoulder of his counterpart, nodding slightly.

“Correct. The Ancestor was a survivor from the Era of Blankness, also the sole remaining demigod of our Moon Shadow Deer People. It was the Ancestor who guided the Moon Shadow Deer People to the zenith of second-tier power, and the Moon Shadow Magic Array was ultimately re-mastered by our Moon Shadow Deer People following the Ancestor’s relentless day and night efforts, becoming the clan’s protective Formation.”

Rosa nodded heavily and replied: “However, the Ancestor perished over two thousand years ago. Theoretically, the Magic Array should only reflect the current Moon Shadow Deer People, yet the Ancestor’s image was also mirrored therein.”

“It appears this was perhaps the final gift bestowed by Your Nobility’s Ancestor.”

Leo Ray nodded towards his counterpart, though a wry smile touched his heart.

It seemed that even that Deer-man Ancestor could not have foreseen that the Moon Shadow Magic Array, initially the protective Formation of the Moon Shadow Deer People, would transform into a lethal shackle binding them.

Perhaps this serves as the ultimate illustration of a double-edged sword, possessing the capacity for both salvation and harm.

“Speaking of which, now that the Moon Shadow Magic Array has been dispelled, won’t it be impossible to tái-cast it in the future?”

Moli blinked her bright, starry eyes, unable to contain her curiosity as she inquired.

“Your Excellency, with the destruction of the Array Eye, all the high-quality Magic Crystals required for casting the Moon Shadow Magic Array are now gone. However, as long as new Magic Crystals can be procured, it can still be performed anew,”

Rosa rubbed her eyes and responded: “So, please rest assured, this will not leave our Moon Shadow Deer People without protection.”

“That is good. If that is the case, then we should proceed with the final cleanup.”

Leo Ray’s gaze sharpened as he nodded towards everyone present.
