Lena rebuked the Stone Spirit Xiaofan and led Leo Ray, the Human Emperor, into a newer passage toward the temple to rescue her father. Tension mounted as Xiaofan eyed Leo Ray warily and the group detected a strong blood scent. A dense mass of eerie Guardians of Devouring blocked the entrance, and as Leo Ray advanced amid purple magic radiance, hundreds lunged at him, shocking his alarmed companions.

Just as Lena and Xiaofan sank into despair, Leo Ray kept his expression steady, with thunderous glow already twisting around the tip of Odust in his grasp.

“Thunder Arc Burst!”

With Leo Ray's booming shout, endless bounding purple magical flashes exploded outward, like a toppling mountain and raging sea, surging toward the Guardians of Devouring.

Every spot the brilliant purple brilliance touched instantly brimmed with crackling thunder around those Guardians of Devouring, sparking nonstop crackles.

The very next instant, from the ones right beside Leo Ray to all others, every odd white eyeball detonated together, crumbling into tiny white motes that scattered into the wind.

“This, this is…?!”

Seeing this sight, Lena and Xiaofan stood rooted in utter shock.

Xiaofan in particular, who had just assumed Leo Ray faced doom, gaped in astonishment.

To their amazement, this Human Race Emperor truly held the power to demolish those bizarre white eyeballs!

As Lena and Xiaofan reeled in total surprise, our formidable comrades had already gathered around Leo Ray.

Up front loomed two massive burly forms, clad in heavy plate armor and clutching brand-new Tier 6 battle axes—Hollis and Rax, the pair of Half-Titans in human shape.

“Your Majesty, leave the task of opening the way to us!”

Hollis's battle axe shimmered with fierce light as he nodded firmly at Leo Ray.

Meanwhile, Lila, Kira, Bruce, Fei’er, Moli, Elder Bing, and the other powerhouses stood primed, set to unleash.

“Maintain a tight formation, prepare to charge straight in!”

Leo Ray swept his hand, channeling a soft but unyielding energy stream into each of our fighters—the Power of Divine Grace, the vital force against the Guardians of Devouring.

With those words, Leo Ray glanced at Lena with a light nod. “Lead us to the place where your Father King is most likely to have gone.”

“Yes, Your Majesty of the Humans!”

Shocked as she was, Lena replied at once, zipping to Leo Ray’s side as Xiaofan trailed right after.

While the team got into position, fresh waves of Guardians of Devouring charged in with savage killing aura.

“Let’s begin.”

Leo Ray gave a faint nod, and our fighters' weapons and armor erupted in brighter and brighter Magic Flow Light, clearly infused with Sheila’s blessing.

Only then did Xiaofan grasp that Leo Ray not only had equals beside him, but even far mightier ones!

On Leo Ray’s order, the squad blurred into afterimages, barreling straight at the hostile Guardians of Devouring.

In a flash, howling gales filled the passage, weaving razor blade gleams with blinding magical bursts.

Bolstered by the Power of Divine Grace and with frontline fighters at half-step Tier 7, Leo Ray’s forces plunged deep into the Temple without delay.

As Leo Ray’s Magic Wand kept hurling brutal thunderbolts to scatter the hordes of Guardians of Devouring assaulting from all angles, he scanned the surroundings and saw the walls matched those in Medusa’s Holy Land—dull, oddly white textured surfaces, giving off a faint, spooky pale glow.

Beyond that, mangled corpses littered the main hall’s entryway floor, with still-wet blood pooling everywhere and making their boots cling, the clear origin of that sharp bloody stink.

This hall dwarfed even the one in the sand-robed old man’s realm in vastness; the deeper they pushed, the denser the Guardians of Devouring crammed every space, their killing intent hanging heavy.

Thankfully, the Power of Divine Grace harshly suppressed the Guardians of Devouring. Though they lunged wildly, abruptly baring horrifying void jaws, its shield let us cut through with ease.

“Your Majesty of the Humans, straight ahead lies the main hall where Father King receives Divine Revelation!”

Lena’s pale cheeks glowed with thrill as she jabbed forward.

The Fishman Princess brimmed with feeling, staring at Leo Ray in pure admiration.

It was beyond belief that those white odd eyeballs, a fishmen’s nightmare, got totally wiped out by Your Majesty of the Humans!

At Lena’s side, Xiaofan’s former doubt and scorn had morphed into real respect.

The Princess’s call for Your Majesty of the Humans to save them was absolutely the right move!

As Lena and Xiaofan buzzed with joy, the rest of the warriors facing these Guardians of Devouring for the first time couldn’t hide their amazed curiosity.

These bizarre white eyeballs truly left everyone there baffled.

Though they seemed less frightening than “Corrosion” at first glance, their vast numbers shocked everyone. No matter how many got destroyed, they kept regenerating endlessly, armed with a horrifying self-replication power that swelled their ranks rapidly.

“What origins do these strange creatures have?”

Watching the hordes of Guardians of Devouring nearby twist and divide, Fei’er and Elder Bing furrowed their brows deeply.

Having survived the Silver Moon Era and heard about this bizarre existence from Leo Ray, seeing it up close still sent icy shivers through them.

This stemmed not only from their grotesque shapes and resistance to normal assaults but also from a profound dread of the unfamiliar.

Be it these fearsome beings or “Corrosion,” both undoubtedly linked to the Era of Blankness—yet did they share any direct bonds?

“We haven’t cracked the mystery of ‘Corrosion’s’ origins yet, and now these Guardians of Devouring appear—what’s their source? My mind’s about to explode!”

Just as baffled, Moli tugged at her pink hooded cape, her face turning graver.

She knew “Corrosion” lay at the heart of the Great Catastrophe, but as a Forest Language Singer, those obstinate elders had never breathed a word about Guardians of Devouring, nor had she ever glimpsed them.

Uncertain whether the Forest Spirits knew of Guardians of Devouring, she was dead certain that if these things replicated even using skeleton innards, their havoc would match “Corrosion’s” terror.

Lila, Hollis, and the others hadn’t pondered that deeply yet; they simply understood that stuck in the same mess, they’d share the Desert Fishman’s grim end.

However, the Human Majesty crushed these abominations—including “Corrosion”—with total ease, proving submission the only smart path!

As Lila and her companions thrilled with excitement, the team squeezed through the slim eerie white light tunnel into another massive chamber.

Guardians of Devouring crammed this space too, weird white eyeballs heaped in dense piles, morphing shapes under crushing force for a nauseating spectacle.

“Your Majesty, this is the main hall; Father King should be right ahead!”

Urgency filled Lena’s voice as her eyes fixed on the view forward.

Our squad’s relentless charge cleared over half the jammed area in no time; despite endless replication and squeezing, forging a path came easy.

Before long, a huge altar loomed into view, crowned at its front by an old man in a crown, bowed low to the ground.
