Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2870: 1571: The Whole Story (Part 2)

Hesitation flickered across the wrinkled face of a Fishman minister as he spoke up tentatively.
“What mysterious deity? Your Majesty of the Human Clan is correct. If that really was the deity, how could it have captured the Father King and slain so many of our Fishman powerhouses?”
The words hidden deep within the Fishman Princess's heart finally emerged, as she declared firmly, “That thing is nothing but the source of turmoil for our Fishman Kingdom!”
After the Fishman Princess uttered those words, silence fell over the surrounding Fishmen for a moment, with all of them simply nodding in unison.
In truth, they had sensed this vaguely for a long time, yet no one wanted to pierce that fragile barrier of illusion. After all, the situation remained uncertain, and without clear knowledge of events, they hesitated to jump to conclusions.
“Understood, Princess!”
Resolve shone in the eyes of the Fishman minister who had spoken first, his elderly features firming up. His form, clad in sea-blue magic robes, dissolved into a ripple of water and disappeared.
“Princess, when exactly did you first connect with those on the other side?”
As several Fishman ministers hurried away, Leo Ray posed the question again.
By now, the group had descended the long staircase and entered the somewhat shadowy Underground Passage of the castle, pressing onward into its depths.
“To Your Majesty of the Humans, it was more than a century back.”
Dimness clouded the Fishman Princess’s starry eyes as she replied, “During the castle's renovation back then, we stumbled upon an odd white space buried deep underground—the place they call the Palace—where we first encountered that enigmatic entity.”
“So it truly is that peculiar white space?”
Leo Ray gave a slight nod before clarifying, “It's no Palace at all, just the interior of their skeleton.”
“The inside of a skeleton?!”
Leo Ray’s revelation left everyone exchanging stunned glances, particularly the Fishmen who had visited the site, all dumbfounded and struggling to grasp his statement.
“We can talk about that later. What came next?”
As his eyes traced the elaborate wave designs along the extended Passage, Leo Ray pressed on with his questions.
“Initially, we doubted the entity's claims until it aided us in locating countless precious Heavenly treasures, including even the Gate of Truth. Only then did we surrender our full faith to it.”
The Fishman Princess let out a deep sigh and continued, “The Father King in particular followed its every command without question, even in the trade dealings of the Throne Corridor, which caused the desert Fishmen to slowly turn into targets for assaults by second-tier powers, shunned by all other factions.”
“The timeline lines up perfectly.”
At these words, Lila nodded pensively. Melody Lyon, brows furrowed, added, “So those beneficial actions you took were really all orchestrated by that mysterious entity?”
“I don't intend to dodge blame, but yes, it wasn't the doing of us desert Fishmen.”
Firm resolve lit up the Fishman Princess’s pale features as she affirmed, “Should we desert Fishmen survive this crisis, I vow to offer all I possess to make amends for everyone's losses.”
The Fishman Princess’s declaration softened the contempt held by Lila and her siblings, as well as Hollis and the others.
Thinking back carefully, apart from recent events, the desert Fishmen had maintained peace ever since the Blank Era, committing no shameful acts.
“Now everything makes sense.”
With all his doubts resolved, Leo Ray observed the Fishman Princess’s quick strides ahead, curiosity rising once more— for he still hadn't learned her name.
“Forgive me, Your Majesty of the Humans. I meant to introduce myself earlier but held off until now.”
Noticing Leo Ray’s unspoken thought, the Fishman Princess hastened to say, “I am Lena, the youngest Princess among the desert Fishmen.”
“Ah, so you're the young Princess of the desert Fishmen.”
Lila and Hollis both nodded in realization upon hearing this.
Rumor had it that this young desert Fishman Princess held a rare Talent. Even among her kind, she stood out as a rare Grand Magician of the Bubble System.
Bubble System magic represented a specialized branch of Water Magic, mastered only by the most talented powerhouses.
“Princess Lena, how much farther until we reach our goal?”
Leo Ray already clutched Rolanddel tightly, enveloped in a thick Energy Barrier, evidently bracing for battle.
“Your Majesty, please just call me Lena. Next to you, I'm insignificant and dare not claim the title of Princess.”
A slim sea-blue Metal Magic Staff materialized in Lena’s delicate grip, its tip's sea-blue gem gleaming vibrantly: “We're almost there!”
With Lena’s announcement, the passage abruptly widened before them. They had exited the long Underground Passage into a vast, illuminated underground hall.
Shadows of figures crowded the hall, packed tightly with elite Fishman guards alongside many priests donning bizarre Fishman masks, just like Lena had worn before.
The tension in the hall hung thick in the air; every Fishman guard gripped drawn blades, arrayed in perfect rows, eyes fixed sharply on the far end of the passage, as the Fishman priests knelt in prayer, murmuring in that eerie chant heard from outside.
“Greetings, your Highness!”
As soon as Lena appeared, all bowed with hands over chests in respect, while a few Fishman generals and the Priest quickly advanced.
“Stop the chanting right now.”
Lena nodded first at the Priest, then asked the Fishman generals about the matter: “What’s happening here?”
“Your Highness, those eerie white eyes keep drifting through the Temple, growing more crowded by the moment, nearly packed solid.”
A lively voice rang out as a towering female Fishman general strode up, her armor clinking sharply.
She looked about Lena’s age, but her wheat-hued face radiated poise and keen edge.
That wasn’t the key point, though. Leo Ray sensed it plainly.
A unique, faint energy pulsed in her aura—hard to catch, yet familiar, matching exactly the presence of Sheila, Little Jie, and Xiao Jing.
“Maybe a Stone Spirit? Strength like Little Jie and Xiao Jing, no less than Tier 6 Five Stars.”
Leo Ray gauged her aura and gave a small nod.
After waves of Power Activation fights, Xiao Jing and Little Jie had both advanced beyond their prior levels, and this Stone Spirit’s might matched theirs in intensity.
“Lena said before that a mysterious force led the Fishmen to a Gate of Truth, and it looks like they found this Stone Spirit around then.”
Just as Leo Ray pondered this, the Stone Spirit spotted him too, asking Lena warily, “Princess, who are these outsiders?”
“They’re the allies I brought; Father King gets saved for sure this time!”
Excitement filled Lena’s voice as she nodded firmly at Leo Ray and his group: “Human Majesty, on to the Temple!”
With that, Lena pressed forward again toward the hall’s far side.
Another passage waited there, defended closely by the Fishman guards.
“Hold on, Princess, it’s far too risky!”
The Stone Spirit rushed to bar Lena’s way, shooting skeptical looks at Leo Ray and his companions, clearly doubting their strength.
After all, those weird white eyes shrugged off every assault; even ten extra half-step Tier 7 powerhouses would just meet their end.
