In Gray Thorn Castle's Command Hall, old knights like Luns collapsed in agony and disintegrated into energy particles, warning of a presence below before vanishing. Leo Ray deduced the 'Corrosion' was targeting the Miracle Building and led his strongmen toward the depths amid structure-shaking explosions. Lila reported external assaults by hordes of 'Corrosion' and Earth Dragons on the Fortress, prompting Leo Ray to dispatch Golem Cavalry and Stone Giant forces for defense as he pressed on with his elite subordinates.

Even though Taylor and the primary subordinates keep pushing ahead, backed by the Stone Spirits, Fei’er, Moli, and the Lila sisters, together with my hidden aces, we can surely manage the stealthy creep of "Corrosion."

Concerning the Stone Giants guarding the fortress and the Golem Cavalry, Stone Giants cannot step foot into Gray Thorn Castle whatsoever, and standard Golem Knights are unable to receive my shared Power of Divine Grace.

Therefore, while neither can eliminate "Corrosion" completely, they are capable of fully energizing the Magic Tower within the castle and deploying assorted tactics to delay the enemy's assault.

It wasn't long before Leo Ray and his companions hurried down the vast castle staircase, swiftly arriving at the basement level of the Miracle Building.

The moment they crossed the long-sealed basement entrance, magical patterns on the nearby walls blinked intermittently, showing that the sabotage persisted.

In the basement's heart loomed a massive semi-transparent crystal formation reaching floor height, pulsing ceaselessly like a huge bulb on the verge of shattering.

From the knowledge flooding his mind upon commanding the Miracle Building, Leo Ray recognized this as the Miracle Building's core, which also housed Broy and the veteran knights.

Should this item suffer damage, Broy and his comrades would turn to dust, and the whole Miracle Building might become beyond repair.

"See, numerous magic arrays encircling the huge crystal cluster have stalled, and cracks mar even the floor."

Moli flashed to the crystal cluster's vicinity, furrowing her brows: "Likely, these magic arrays halting is why those veteran knights can no longer manifest in the world!"

Owing to the Miracle Building's total Blocking Barrier, not even this young lady could teleport across layers, though zipping within one layer remained simple.

As the girl had noted, around the enormous crystal cluster, the radiating magic arrays appeared mostly dim and lifeless, some crackling with overload noises.

"The assault originates from the layer below."

Leo Ray scanned the scene rapidly and pressed deeper into the basement.

With the Miracle Building's details surging in his thoughts, Leo Ray realized the visible magic arrays were mere outer layers, while the true cores hid within the building's depths, floors, and walls.

This next layer marked the final one, where "Corrosion" had probably breached the outermost defense and unleashed this mad barrage.

True enough, as Leo Ray's team pried open the final layer's door, a ferocious surge of potent energy blasted forth.

Within the shadowy castle basement, brown slime coated the walls, oozing sluggishly onto the ground.

This thick, repulsive slime dissolved all it contacted, riddling wall inscriptions with holes that spewed acrid black fumes.

Notably on the ceiling, a profound corrosive crater gaped; it hadn't pierced upward yet, but sat right above the crystal cluster's position.

Should this slime breach upward, the vast crystal cluster would swiftly dissolve, with consequences all too clear.

A chill gripped his heart as Leo Ray hunted the brown slime's origin, spotting in a basement corner—where the castle's outer wall had eroded—a sizable puncture.

A brown Earth Dragon gaped its maw, relentlessly spewing brown slime beyond the walls, yet an amber barrier halted it all—this being the Absolute Defense Barrier shielding the fortress.

However, the Absolute Defense Barrier looked perilously weak, soon developing a hand-sized fissure through which slime poured or splashed inward, birthing the basement's mess.

Yet after the rift formed, the resilient Absolute Defense Barrier mended it promptly, creating this ongoing loop.

The fissure proved far too narrow; neither the huge Earth Dragon nor Broy and the Dwarf Elves could squeeze through.

"Your Majesty, it's a mutated Earth Dragon wielding corrosive breath!"

Seeing this, Lila cried out in shock.

The black crystal gleaming on its brow proved its infestation by "Corrosion."

"Situation appears contained."

Leo Ray gave a slight nod, then signaled Fei’er beside him.

"Silver Radiance Purification!"

Fei’er understood instantly; as her Magic Wand glowed silver, a distinctive silver thunderbolt lashed forth, evaporating every trace of brown slime in the basement—truly wondrous.

With the underground space restored to order, the group sighed in relief, Kira's starry eyes wide with wonder especially.

Ever since her defeat by Fei’er, she harbored resentment toward that novel silver thunder, and witnessing Thunder Attribute Magic purify was unimaginable, as her old views held thunder magic to pure offense and velocity—cleansing was alien.

In her daze, Kira's gaze shifted back to Leo Ray, this youthful Human Race Emperor delivering yet another jolt.

Not only did powerhouses like Fei’er and Moli serve him loyally, he commanded myriad Stone Spirits as sentinels, and above all, hailed from the ancient human bloodline!

As Kira's starry eyes shimmered, Leo Ray wasted no time activating Sheila's ability, bestowing the Power of the Stars upon all present.

Once this mutated Earth Dragon falls, Broy and the veteran knights will be secure. Thinking thus, Leo Ray and his allies vaulted outward, mages unleashing spells mid-leap that hammered toward the foe!

"Roar!"

The mutated Giant Dragon wasn't dim-witted; facing the horde's crushing advance, it wheeled to flee into the depths before strikes connected.

Naturally, Leo Ray's team wouldn't let it slip away, surging past the Amber Barrier in hot pursuit.

In moments, Leo Ray and over a hundred followers pulled away from ruined Gray Thorn Castle, chasing through the breach into a broad new expanse.

This formed another natural Underground Space, smaller than the fortress's domain yet vast as half a city.

"Haha, what a bunch of idiotic ants."

A raspy, malevolent voice echoed upon their entry.

With that eerie call, swarms of Earth Dragons and "Corrosion" poured from every side, encircling Leo Ray's group completely.

Suddenly, the foes' overwhelming aura erupted, dwarfing ours several-fold, filling the Underground Space with murderous intent and a nightmarish dread.

By this point, the trap was obvious: the enemy had laid this ambush long ago.

Realizing the snare, Leo Ray's fresh powerhouses Lila and Kira scowled deeply, sweat beading on their brows.

Though silent, their inner strain hung heavy.

They grasped that enemy strength outmatched ours vastly, and despite Your Majesty's special gift enabling damage to "Corrosion," closing such a chasm seemed hopeless!

After all, summoned Golem Puppets and Alchemy Puppets couldn't take that singular power, rendering them useless against foes!

While Lila and Kira's hearts churned with worry, Leo Ray stayed utterly poised, exuding tranquil confidence.
