Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2830: 1551: The Battlefield and the Dilemma

~3 minute read · 776 words

With those ancient and piercing words echoing, a tremendously grand aura erupted instantly from the enigmatic colossal city, making the fog across the whole underground realm surge like massive waves.

“Prepare to face the enemy!”

Feeling the energy storm barreling toward them, Lila responded with lightning speed, urgently commanding the Stone Giant warriors to ready themselves for battle.

The Stone Giant Clan Chief realized sharply that merely from this earth-shattering presence, the foe’s total power matched her three Stone Giant Legions. Furthermore, they had held their own against the unbeatable “Corrosion” for a full month! Confronting such an unknown and powerful enemy, how could she not feel a deep respect?

As the Stone Giants got into position, the ground nearby started quaking fiercely, sending tremors through the earth.

Before anyone could respond, the surrounding terrain exploded with dirt and rocks, and entities even bigger than Stone Giants burst out, kicking up huge clouds of dust.

In moments, these abrupt titans had grown to a substantial count, seeming to reach at least thousands in number.

As the dust settled, everyone swiftly discerned the actual appearance of these gigantic beings.

Their shape closely resembled giant dragons, yet they bore no wings, only smooth, shiny, jet-black scales.

In terms of bulk, they surpassed the Stone Giants but fell short of genuine giant dragons. Still, their razor-sharp dragon fangs and shining talons were identical to those of the Dragon Clan.

Right away, the ferocity and killing intent radiating from these monsters, combined with their Tier 5 or higher aura, forced full vigilance on everyone.

“Your Majesty, it’s the Earth Dragons!”

Lila instantly recognized the enemy’s identity and reported to Leo Ray: “Their numbers are still increasing!”

Hearing this, Leo Ray directed his powerful comrades to bolster the Absolute Defense Barrier while nodding in contemplation.

Though he’d never laid eyes on Earth Dragons, Leo Ray knew some tales about them.

Judging by their look, they rank as sub-dragon magical beasts highly akin to giant dragons.

Similar to fellow sub-dragon magical beasts, Earth Dragons possess no giant dragon-level intellect, driven solely by primal urges. They typically dwell deep underground close to magic ore veins, boosting their might via the vast energy stored there.

To Earth Dragons, magic ore veins serve as prime natural training grounds, explaining their frequent impressive strength—some clans strong enough to rival top-tier powers among the ten thousand races.

Nearly every major force has clashed with Earth Dragon packs while probing magic ore veins, particularly the Dwarf Clan, renowned for digging and extraction, who’ve suffered the most clashes at great cost.

Legends tell that since the Era of Blankness, numerous Dwarf Clan underground cities vanished without trace, later found as corpse-strewn Death Valleys overrun by Earth Dragon signs.

Naturally, for the Human Clan and fringe third-class powers in the Outer Region short on premium magic ore veins, there’s little worry of unearthing Earth Dragon lairs, since these savage creatures stick to high-grade magic ore veins, ignoring lesser ones with scant mana.

“Could these Earth Dragons be the real force behind the mysterious city?”

Moli peered past our Absolute Defense Barrier at the swelling ranks of giant beasts drawing near, her brows knitting faintly.

As a Forest Elf, she was well acquainted with this pesky threat.

Earth Dragons boast not just devastating strikes and speed, but scales of exceptional hardness—some even able to parry blows—rendering them exceedingly tough opponents.

“No, things are probably graver.”

Leo Ray, brow furrowed too, pointed out to Moli: “Check the foreheads on some of those Earth Dragons.”

Thanks to Leo Ray’s cue, Moli spotted amid the dust that numerous Earth Dragons sported gleaming black crystals on their foreheads; yet these merged seamlessly with their ebony scales, tough to spot in the poor light.

“This, could it be…”

Moli paused briefly before catching on, exclaiming: “Could these Earth Dragons have already been taken over by ‘Corrosion’?”

From her time with Leo Ray at the Observation City fight, Moli knew well that even without full-body crystal coverage, this marked the early stage of ‘Corrosion’ parasitism!

“Precisely, they must have been one side in that intense clash earlier, yet not the mysterious city itself—instead, they’re the ‘Corrosion’ forces assaulting it.”

As he spoke, Leo Ray finished empowering the Stone Spirits, distributing anti-‘Corrosion’ strength to our nearby powerhouses and Stone Giant warriors, confirming: “That explains the sudden battle stop; these ‘Corrosion’ didn’t withdraw but turned their sights on us.”

Leo Ray’s statement made Lila and the other Stone Giants nearby clutch their weapons harder.
