Leo Ray permitted Hollis, Lila, and the giants to explore Titan Clan ruins in the Human Domain while planning alliances, upgrades, and mutual benefits in forging and alchemy. The banquet resumed with gifts of sixth-order equipment, fostering harmony among the giants. Upon entering Ice Stone City, leaders of the Rainforest Fortress, Desert, and Broken Valley Alliances pledged full loyalty to Leo Ray. He arranged further collaborations before returning to the Human Domain, greeted warmly by Ariel Watson as a sudden shadow appeared on her shoulder.

The shadow, about the size of two palms, flapped its wings and swooped in before Leo Ray could even respond.

Under the clear moonlight, its thick brown plumage came into view; this bird-like Demon Beast resembled an oversized Oriole, letting out cheerful “chirp chirp chirp” calls.

It went without saying—this was the very little being that had hatched from the Demon Beast egg Leo Ray discovered during his exploration of the Inverted Gorge.

A faint weight settled on Leo Ray's shoulder as the tiny brown creature hopped there, flapping its wings more excitedly and chirping with delight.

“Dawn, don’t be naughty, the Lord is already very tired.”

Ariel Watson frowned lightly at the sight: “If you don’t behave, your late-night snack will be halved.”

“… Chirp chirp.”

The little creature obviously got Ariel Watson’s meaning, letting its fluffy head hang down right away.

“No harm done, I’ve been so busy lately that I almost forgot about this little one.”

Leo Ray softly petted the creature's brown feathers, a light smile on his face.

Its feathers shone much smoother now than right after hatching, and its body had grown twice as big, yet oddly, its weight stayed about the same.

“Dawn” was the name Ariel Watson chose for it, which Leo Ray found perfect, so they stuck with it.

Recently, Ariel Watson had cared for the little creature splendidly; it ate and slept soundly, and every time Leo Ray came back, it was usually fast asleep in its nest, making him nearly overlook it.

“The Lord is always so gentle.”

Hearing that, Ariel Watson smiled and nodded, telling the little creature: “Dawn, since the Lord said so, you can be naughty just once, but you can’t be so reckless on ordinary days, understand?”

“Chirp!”

The little creature let out a joyful chirp and began flapping its wings once more.

Leo Ray gave a faint smile, pulling up the creature’s attribute panel casually, which displayed “???” still, offering no hints on its kind.

“Well, just as I thought back then. Though this little creature seems plain and drab, even if it’s merely an unidentified common Demon Beast, it brings a bit of vibrancy to the rough road ahead.”

Thinking that, Leo Ray and Ariel Watson stepped through the Gate of the Castle.

Once back in the room, Leo Ray washed up first, then shared the intense banquet happenings with Ariel Watson, who hung on every word with fascination and concern.

Especially when she learned Leo Ray had tamed the Half-Titan and Stone Giant, Ariel Watson leaped up in excitement, dropping her Queen of Coldflame City poise.

All the while, the little creature remained close to Leo Ray and Ariel Watson, acting perfectly without any further mischief.

“By the way, how is the deployment going?”

After watching the little creature doze off following a huge bowl of food, Leo Ray questioned Ariel Watson once more.

Even though Gideon Black and the other nine Tier 5 peak powerhouse subordinates had begun their rank-ups, Ariel Watson bore major duties, so solid plans were needed for her to upgrade without worry.

“It’s all been coordinated with Asher Porter, Linda, Adams, Tran, and the rest, so they’ll hold down the fort for the Lord while the subordinates advance.”

Ariel Watson nodded resolutely, her eyes gleaming with anticipation: “Once the subordinates successfully advance, I can better assist the Lord.”

As she spoke, Ariel Watson sensed a surreal feeling, since entering Tier 6 was a dream she’d never fathomed before encountering Leo Ray.

Excitement filled her, yet unease flickered on Ariel Watson’s pale features; despite the ten kinds of Tier 6 support Magic Potions and Magic Scrolls Leo Ray readied, reaching Tier 6 remained a daunting challenge.

“My dear Majesty the Queen, who aids me in governing the entire Human Clan, how could you be troubled by this matter?”

Leo Ray picked up on Ariel Watson’s worry swiftly and patted her head.

“The Lord is quite right, I certainly won’t disappoint the Lord!”

Ariel Watson drew a deep breath, her bright eyes turning from hesitant to steely resolve.

“Well, today should come to an end.”

Gazing at Dawn sleeping soundly in its nest, Leo Ray clasped Ariel Watson’s hand.

The next morning, Leo Ray rose early like always, but Ariel Watson was already properly attired, finishing her last preparations ahead of her advancement.

“Sorry, things have been too hectic lately, I can’t accompany you in advancing.”

Leo Ray eyed her slim back and said.

“What’s the Lord saying here, how could such things distract the Lord?”

Ariel Watson had clearly steadied her emotions, offering a soft smile: “Rest assured, I won’t disappoint the Lord!”

“I will have Abigail and Amelia keep an eye on you, and if anything happens, I’ll be there at the first sign.”

Leo Ray nodded faintly, turning his attention to the now, arranging the day’s tasks via Mind Talk while freshening up.
