"Emperor of the Human Race, this elder will meet you once more!"
Observing the dropping spirits among his allies contrasted with the vibrant energy on Leo Ray's team, Payton—who had been set to dominate the battle alone—noticed a pulse in his temple. Gripping his massive sword high, he unleashed yet another savage assault toward Leo Ray.
Although Rax hesitated to team up with Payton, his desire to restore his reputation burned strong, prompting him to dash off in a separate path, axe in hand.
Amid the chaotic heart of the feast room, these colossal fighters whipped up fierce gusts nearby, resembling enormous vessels navigating rough seas, clamping down on Leo Ray with attacks from opposite flanks!
Additionally, the pair had obviously picked up lessons from earlier errors. The moment they surged forward, they morphed into countless afterimages, duplicates, and solid replicas swarming from every angle, striving to seal off every possible retreat for Leo Ray!
Under these conditions, should Leo Ray slip past their strikes, any tangle with a real duplicate amid the mirages and basic copies would slow him down, handing the edge to them!
With that thought in mind, Rax and Payton grinned with overconfidence. Now, they were convinced the Human Race Emperor had zero chances to break free!
"Impressive momentum. Let's see if you can keep it up."
Confronting the joint assault, Leo Ray remained composed and chose not to dodge right away. Rather, he barreled directly toward Rax.
Perched on Leo Ray's shoulder, Sheila in her role as assistant shifted to total battle readiness, firing off a storm of elemental projectiles like ceaseless floods, smashing the approaching phantoms and replicas, paving the way for Leo Ray's advance.
The expansive core of the feast room buzzed with intersecting energy surges, radiating outward akin to a hurricane's core, scattering numerous table settings in the process.
An observer needed to focus intently during the clash, erecting several tough magical defense barriers in succession, or else the power from four near Tier 7 powerhouses would wreck the entire Shadow Market as unintended fallout.
"Human clan, taste the prince's axe!"
Words barely out, Rax's enormous axe slashed wildly at the oncoming Leo Ray!
When the battle axe's broad edge neared Leo Ray, Rax got a jolt realizing the figure ahead was a mere phantom—it had vanished already!
Meanwhile, Payton who had slashed at nothing experienced a shiver run through him, and upon whipping his head around in dread, he faced the bottom of Leo Ray's combat boot.
Boom!
A thunderous boom of energy clash echoed, leaving Payton unprepared as he reeled backward, absorbing Leo Ray's aerial strike via his energy shield, stumbling more than ten paces once more.
Witnessing this, the spectators at last understood that the "Leo Ray" heading for Rax served as mere bait, while the true form had sneaked around to Payton's rear long before! Amid the wild energy ripples in the feast room's midst, spotting it proved quite challenging!
"Did you two really think only you know how to use shadows and doppelgangers?"
Touching down firmly, Leo Ray brushed off his sleeve with poise.
"Mirage Illusion Skill!"
Before the enraged Rax and Payton could respond, a swarm of hundreds of duplicates sprang up beside Leo Ray, surging at the duo like a tidal wave crashing over.
During this, Sheila stayed active, unleashing thick clusters of elemental shots via the spaces in Leo Ray's duplicates, hurtling toward Rax and Payton.
Up against the abrupt retaliation from Leo Ray and Sheila, Rax and Payton were forced to pull back momentarily, laboring to repel Leo Ray's duplicates all while evading Sheila's elemental projectiles.
Given their bulky builds, Rax and Payton struggled with sidestepping the elemental shots, particularly as Leo Ray's actual form lurked within the duplicates, occasionally vaulting above or delivering kicks to the pair, sending them into disarray and utterly shattering their earlier drive!
"Human clan, don't think it's over!"
As he awkwardly dodged the elemental shots, Rax spotted Leo Ray's true self having just booted Payton's rear, ignored the nearby Leo Ray duplicates, and barreled ahead with his massive axe.
Yet midway, a weight pressed on his skull, with another "Leo Ray" now perched above, slamming down a Thunderfall!
Although the Thunder Light failed to shatter Rax's Energy Barrier, it pushed the already frustrated Prince Mad Axe into a frenzy, bellowing wildly!
Too late, he grasped that hidden in the nonstop spawning of Leo Ray duplicates lurked actual solid replicas!
"It's just my Illusive Thunder Clone, no need to get so worked up over it, is there?"
Leo Ray's shape shimmered, vanishing back among the encircling duplicates.
At this stage, despite Payton's forceful attempts to join in, the result mirrored Rax's—it boiled down to a frenzied pursuit orchestrated by Leo Ray.
Within the chaotic feast room, Leo Ray's purple magical glow danced through the cluster of duplicates; each spot he materialized, a barrage of Sheila's elemental projectiles erupted, flowing with ease and elegance.
In contrast, Rax and Payton resembled aimless insects, flailing desperately across the space. As they ineffectively brandished their huge weapons, they battled to evade abrupt hits from Leo Ray's true form and duplicates, plus taking several hits from Sheila. What a sorry spectacle.
Everyone knew Leo Ray possessed not only matchless agility but also the boost from Power of Divine Grace, whereas Sheila gained vigor from Power Activation, and their leader-follower coordination flowed perfectly, rendering this outcome unavoidable.
"Emperor of the Human Race, this elder does not believe I can't hit you!"
Soon enough, Payton also bellowed in anger, his ashen colossal visage twisted in annoyance, aligning with Rax in their helpless wrath.
Multiple instances, by Leo Ray's design, the pair nearly smashed into one another, pulling off ridiculous clumsy maneuvers to avoid it, amusing the giants who watched with cringing laughter.
"Get out of the way, Stone Giant, you're blocking the prince's path!"
At last, following yet another near-crash with Payton, Rax directed his fury his way, pushing Payton to the side.
"Half-Titan, this elder kindly came to help you, you ungrateful fool!"
Payton, seething already, noted Rax's move and countered directly.
"Who asked for your help? All you've done is make a mess!"
Rax fumed, snarling, "If you hadn't been interfering, this prince would've captured that human long ago!"
"Ridiculous! Just a mere Half-Titan, boasting without shame, completely disgracing the Titan name!"
Payton ignored Leo Ray's proximity entirely and charged forward to scrap with Rax.
For an instant, the duo of giants hammered at each other fiercely, caught in a comical scuffle.
Upon spotting their fighters locked in combat, the sidelined half-Titans and Stone Giants refused to yield, flipping on their own allies and erupting into a furious exchange of words.
"Hahaha, so this is the plan of Your Majesty of the Humans all along!"
Watching this unfold, our fighters erupted in joyful cheers, savoring the show.
In truth, the enmity between half-Titans and Stone Giants cut too profoundly for any short-term pact to erase it! While division lingered, they couldn't wholly focus against us!
"Enough! What a disgrace!"
Just as Rax and Payton had clashed briefly, a profoundly commanding bass voice thundered from the far end of the feast room, rattling the utensils on the tables.
"Emperor of the Human Race, you are indeed a master strategist, but do you think you can stop everything like this?"
