In the ancient, deserted city, Leo Ray's group spotted a little girl who fled into a corner, only for a surging crowd of ancient humans to emerge, excitedly hailing them as heroes from the Silver Fire Kingdom. The newcomers, dressed in historical attire, surrounded the wary intruders, with City Lord Book welcoming them to Observation City and confirming the year 3000 of the Starry Era. Stunned by the kingdom's survival—long destroyed in their world's Era of Blankness—the group exchanged bewildered glances, grappling with the possibility of a parallel realm rather than time travel.

This is exactly the reason that cultures, traditions, power hierarchies, currencies, and even social setups across every sector share such remarkable similarities.

Yet, in the wake of surviving the brutal Era of Blankness, the remnants of humanity have lost countless pieces of knowledge. Every precious historical record was wiped out, rendering it hopeless to figure out if the continent splintered apart during that dark time or existed in this divided sector form long before.

"Hold on, I've asked in depth about Taylor, Gideon Black, Scarlett, Serena Clark, Stella Clark, and others from various sectors before, and just lately, I've encountered the brothers from the Young Family, picking up plenty on their area."

"The territory they live in isn't just charted unlike ours, but the landscape, the overall shape and scale of their sector show clear differences, really odd."

"If they're actual parallel worlds, then why do these variations exist? Thinking it over, the idea of the entire continent breaking into pieces seems more plausible, with shards scattered all over, no two exactly alike."

Leo Ray sensed his thoughts twisting into knots, as he kept mulling it over.

What's the real truth? Or maybe elements of both hold water? Could the sectors I'm familiar with all be broken remnants, while this spot I'm in now is the true parallel realm?

"Matters are getting more captivating by the minute; let's sort out where we stand first."

Leo Ray gathered his focus, turning to Old Book: "Apologies, Your Excellency, we've only just gotten here and remain somewhat in the dark about the present circumstances."

"Is that what Lord Brave implies? It's our oversight that we've slighted you all!"

Old Book hurriedly gestured, replying: "We were deep in prayer at the central temple, heeding the god's guidance, so we couldn't greet the brave arrivals right away—please forgive us."

"Ah, that explains it; no surprise the place feels like a ghost town."

Leo Ray gave a small nod, appearing deep in contemplation.

Back in earlier times, the Silver Fire Kingdom saw a boom in Chosen Sons of God, with numerous pious human demigods finishing their divine journeys, ascending to the Divine Realm as fresh gods.

Thus, it's hardly shocking that folks cling to those old ways.

Still, given that, why do we pick up zero signs of life or bustle around?

"Lord Brave, you may be unaware, but this city is shielded by formations that conceal all vitality and energy to repel invaders; without being right in front of someone, detecting their existence is nearly impossible."

Old Book lightly flicked his wrist, and patterns of magic arrays emerged on nearby walls and even the earth beneath their feet.

These arrays blanketed the whole city in a thick web, then faded away in an instant.

"What an advanced magic array—I sensed nothing at all."

A flash of surprise lit up Moli's starry gaze as she exclaimed in astonishment: "It's really beyond belief."

"You honor us too much, brave pink one. We only installed these arrays; our god is the true architect!"

Old Book's tone held deep respect, as he waved his hands insistently.

"Godly magic from bygone eras? We possess a few of our own."

Moli reflected for a moment, then nodded, adding: "Impressed that you've kept it so intact."

Moli spoke this way since the Divine Domain spells handed down in the Elf Tribe are largely in pieces, impossible to perform fully. Even in that state, their complexity surpasses anything humans can craft.

"Ancient Divine Domain magic?"

Old Book gazed at Moli with confusion, inquiring: "Why call it that, brave pink one? This magic array was bestowed on us freshly by the Deity via the Divine Revelation Church, and ever since the Blank Era, our Deity has showered us with endless blessings."

"... What?!"

At these words, our entire party froze in shock, followed by a wave of stunned murmurs.

From what they're saying, the god never abandoned this land and has always watched over it? It defies all logic!

Amid the stunned assembly, Leo Ray could scarcely trust what he'd heard.

Ever since the Blank Era, it's been common knowledge that gods stopped tending to this world, and every other sector Leo knew of shared that view—without a single outlier, so how has this location enjoyed nonstop divine protection?

In his shock, Leo Ray also spotted the Divine Grace Badge pinned to Old Book's chest, and the same on various locals—obvious marks that they're all Chosen Sons of God!

"You all look pretty taken aback; did I mention something off?"

Gazing down at our flabbergasted crew, Old Book and the other locals began trading puzzled glances.

"It's fine, merely a gap in our perspectives."

Leo Ray dismissed it with a wave, forcing himself to stay composed.

Leo Ray steadied his mind, then questioned: "Your Excellency City Lord, did you dub us brave ones because the deity let you know?"

"Precisely so—the deity foretold that new brave ones would come today to aid against the terrifying foes!"

Old Book nodded gravely: "To be frank, Observation City teeters on the edge of ruin; the moment those enemies strike, total destruction awaits."

His statement brought a shadow over the locals, including a young girl gripping Old Nick's robe in clear fear.

"Enemies? Your Excellency City Lord, what sort of adversaries are we facing?"

Noticing the tension, Leo Ray creased his brow, demanding firmly.

"I'll be straightforward—our foes are..."

Right as Old Nick started to reply, a burst of energy fluctuations swept through the air, and a squad armed with longbows and arrow quivers dropped from above, touching down before Old Book.

Leading them, a middle-aged general clad in gleaming silver armor saluted Old Nick: "Greetings, City Lord; we spotted some figures lurking in the city! A volley of arrows sent them scattering fast!"

"Even more bizarre, those figures popped up out of nowhere; as we closed in, they disappeared once more!"

"I reckon it's some vile ploy from our enemies!"

Finishing his report, the general eyed Leo Ray and his companions, probing: "City Lord, are these the brave ones? Hmm? They look just like those figures."

"Mind your tongue—brave ones aren't capable of such deceptions!"

Old Book scowled in anger, flicking his sleeve: "Step back immediately!"

Witnessing this, Leo Ray and Moli shared a knowing look.

The account matches almost exactly what we went through earlier, just from the opposite angle—our group showed up as shadowy outlines to them.

Otherwise, both experiences lined up perfectly.

"Looking more closely, the soldiers under that middle-aged general do match the outlines we saw; were they really the same?"

Leo Ray pondered intensely, thinking to himself: "But each side made the other appear as mere silhouettes, then they'd vanish—what on earth is causing this?"

"Ah, I get it!"

Moli's eyes lit up brightly, obviously grasping the key insight.
