Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2686 1476: Footsteps Toward the Depths of Darkness (Part 2)

"Those cursed scoundrels, they were members of my Broken Valley Alliance."
Guy, the elderly man, stared at the massive ruins, sorrow heavy in his tone.
Leo Ray gripped his longsword firmly, staying quiet all the while. Should the foes keep advancing, another Bone Hall could soon rise within the Human Domain.
Soon enough, the team arrived at the entrance to the Forest White Giant Palace. No actual gate existed; the jawbone of the skull-like structure gaped wide, inviting entry into unknown depths.
"Remain vigilant, onward we go."
Leo Ray swiftly applied a set of enhancement buffs to himself and his companions, then led the way forward once more.
"Hold on, Human Clan youth."
The figure in the pink hood recalled something and distributed several gray gems, each the size of a fist, to the others with a subtle nod. "These gems ward off Spatial Magic. They stop forced transport into the Void Space, though you can't teleport on your own while holding them. They provide minor protection from Spatial Strangulation and Space Binding, but it's weak, particularly against much stronger foes."
"My gratitude, Your Excellency; this helps immensely."
Leo Ray accepted the gem and promptly checked its attributes.
[Name: Void Resistance Crystal]
[Resource Level: Tier 6 (Rare)]
[Size: 8cm]
[Purity: S+ Grade]
[Note: This special magic crystal is incredibly valuable and scarce, offering strong resistance to the Void Space that blocks any teleportation for the bearer and gives partial defense against other spatial magics.]
"A Tier 6 rare resource? It matches the level of the Magic Communication Gems from the Administrator in the Land of Divine Favor."
As he read the details in the attribute panel, Leo Ray's eyes slightly widened in surprise.
Everyone knows that elite Space Series experts often rip open a Void Space rift to drag enemies inside. Once it seals shut, the fate is sealed.
Moreover, the chaotic space in this area leaves little chance for our side to deploy a Space Scroll, so this crystal's shielding role proves vital.
Clearly, the pink-hooded figure boasts powerful connections; even in a top-tier faction's Shadow Market, a Tier 6 rare item like this is hard to come by, its worth beyond measure.
"Don't shatter them; I'm just loaning these out. Return them to me after you're finished!"
Noticing the group's shocked looks, the pink-hooded figure issued another warning.
Hearing that, everyone nodded in agreement, steadied their nerves, and started venturing into the palace's inky blackness.
While advancing, Little Jie and Youyou fired off illuminating magic orbs one by one, which flew toward the Bone Gate.
Yet the profound gloom only revealed so much, as though it devoured the light, allowing the team just a faint view of their surroundings, like wandering through eternal night.
Thud, thud, thud.
Within the hazy, stench-filled darkness that stretched endlessly, the team's careful steps resounded alone, the path forward shrouded in mystery.
After some unknown stretch of time, as the group scanned diligently for magic traps and kept watch on their environs, a cluster of vague shadows emerged ahead on the route.
These thick shadows loomed motionless and silent, casting mere outlines in the dark that vaguely resembled human shapes; details beyond that stayed hidden.
"What's that?"
At this sight, the team gripped their weapons tighter, refusing to lower their guard.
"No matter what it is, smash it flat!"
The pink-hooded figure showed no tolerance for delay, brandishing a magic wand. Instantly, the shadow-packed area warped, and cracking stone sounds erupted everywhere.
Through the pink-hooded figure's Space Strangulation, the shadows crumbled rapidly into scattered debris across the floor.
Only now did they see it was nothing more than a cluster of statues.
"Press on."
With Leo Ray's words, the team continued their advance.
As they drew close to the debris piles, Leo Ray examined them closely.
Sure enough, statues they were, and faint designs could be made out on the ground's broken bits. Still, the pink-hooded figure's strike had been ruthlessly thorough, leaving chunks no bigger than fists and obscuring their prior shapes.
But as the team moved past the wreckage, something shifted abruptly.
Out of nowhere, with a fierce wind gust, the pieces lifted skyward without reason, piecing back together into their former selves at great speed.
From this near distance, Leo Ray saw plainly: these were cloaked lich statues, and even carved from stone, their skeletal visages exuded eerie horror.
Before anyone could respond, the revived lich statues unleashed a fierce crimson light from empty eye sockets and extended bony claws to strike from every angle.
"These pathetic gimmicks, don't embarrass yourself with such nonsense!"
The pink-hooded figure scoffed, as vast magical power poured from the wand. With a murky gray shimmer, the nearby space twisted and bent, filled with nonstop stone-cracking noises.
The freshly animated lich statues exploded into fragments under the pink-hooded figure's fierce assault. Yet this round, the shards didn't drop but hurtled at the group like projectiles.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Little Jie's Absolute Defense Barrier was already up, so explosive energy rang out nearby, and those shards acted less like bullets and more like Magic Cannon shells.
"As long as I'm here, you won't pierce this Barrier!"
Though the ongoing barrage from the broken lich statues caught the pink-hooded figure off guard, they quickly added their own magic to reinforce it.
The Barrier Wall's radiance grew brighter from the pink-hooded figure's energy boost. The debris strikes came hard, but they couldn't touch the group at all. Instead, they crumbled to powder in the clashes, floating briefly before settling earthward.
Once the barrage ended, right as Leo Ray and the others geared up to proceed, the airborne dust rushed in from all sides, encasing the whole Barrier Wall like a seal and blocking any sight of the outside.
"What scheme is the enemy plotting this time?"
At this development, the team's brows creased in concern.
No one had foreseen that even after the statues broke into bits and dust, the foe held more surprises.
In this setup, spells or strikes seemed pointless against the dust cloud.
"If we could just tear into the Void Space, but no, this area's riddled with the demon's Space Barriers—impenetrable."
The pink-hooded figure knit their brows deeply, whispering under their breath.
While the team tried to figure out the enemy's intent, the dust started to disperse and fade away into nothing.
"What's going on?!"
With sight clearing up and the view reopening, shock and incredulity filled the group's stares.
Now, they stood in an expansive fresh chamber, where illumination had grown much stronger. All around loomed a battle-ready Undead Army.
From the crushing presence enveloping them, this Undead Army consisted entirely of Tier 5 or higher forces, at least ten thousand in count, their vacant sockets pulsing with red menace, the atmosphere thick with killing intent that chilled to the bone.
"Heh, never imagined you insects would dare seek your own doom—very well, I'll grant it!"
A cold, haughty voice rang out in the ears of the entire group.
