Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2669 1467: A Thorn-Filled Path Forward (Part 2)

The moment the voice reached him, the crimson light in the Witch Demon Leader's eye sockets flared brighter, and he cried out in ecstatic joy, "Got it, I'll head straight back to the master's domain right away!"
With those words, the Witch Demon Leader guided the surviving witch demons in a rapid dash, vanishing swiftly into the heart of Forest White Giant City.
Rustling sounds.
Right as the witch demons pulled away, the fractured Absolute Defense Barrier crumbled apart, breaking into myriad enchanted shards that hovered in the air before fading into the thick black mist.
"We've done it!"
Below the massive city walls, as the Human Clan's forces watched the enemy's Absolute Defense Barrier finally give way, waves of triumphant shouts and thrill swept through their ranks.
Led by Loris, the attacking commanders stood ready to climb, their enchanted bridges already stretching across to the top of the white giant city.
But right when Leo Ray ordered his generals forward, the sealed skeletal city gate creaked open gradually.
Next, a squad of Broken Valley Alliance's top fighters stepped out from the entrance, swiftly joining up with the elite troops in our own group.
"Human Majesty, the witch demons who were stationed within the walls have pulled back deep into the city, leaving the gate free to swing wide."
Following a quick discussion, a sturdy commander from the Broken Valley Alliance placed a fist over his heart in salute to Leo Ray and announced, "Power to the commanders."
Leo Ray gave a nod to the commander before turning to Loris, Sina, and the rest, saying, "The path is clear now, so let's move out."
Once he finished, Leo Ray spearheaded the front line into the city at top speed, with Loris, Sina, and the others trailing right behind without a second thought.
Even now, while all knew the Witch Demon's maneuver probably hid deeper schemes, pushing on was unavoidable; thorns might line the way ahead, but forward was their sole option.
In an instant, Leo Ray surged past the city gate, escorted by the Broken Valley Alliance's finest.
Yet, the second Leo Ray crossed into the city's bounds, shock spread across his features, a reaction echoed by Loris, Sina, and the followers, their eyes bulging in disbelief.
Clearly, the view inside the city far exceeded anyone's expectations.
No thick black fog lingered here, as though some unseen shield divided the city's core from the outer haze, granting an astonishingly sharp visibility.
One look revealed bones piled high in clusters, rivers of blood snaking through, odd white structures dotting the landscape, and an oppressive, somber vibe that evoked the depths of hell.
That wasn't the biggest shock; what truly stunned Leo Ray and his allies was the boundless expanse despite the open sightlines, featuring a towering black mist column piercing the heavens, far taller than from afar.
The walls they'd just passed loomed even higher now and stretched much farther, nothing like the outer perspective.
In essence, the outside glimpse of the city mismatched the inner truth entirely, as if they'd stepped into a whole different realm.
"Are we in a Barrier Area?"
Loris's lion-like eyes stretched wide while his brow creased deeply.
"No, it's not a Barrier Area—more like Space Folding."
Sina thought it over briefly and gave a knowing nod, "They probably folded the space within the city before building the outer walls, making the inside way bigger than it looks from out there."
"Bigger doesn't cover it; it's like tens of times the size."
Old Susan's expression brimmed with confusion as she muttered, "But what's the point of the enemy doing that?"
The instant Old Susan wrapped up, a sharp cry pierced the air from our side.
Startled, the group whipped their heads toward the noise, spotting a cluster of severed body parts floating in the sky, mostly from horses, creating a gruesome spectacle.
"Leader, Human Majesty, it's a Magic Trap!"
Hooves thundered close as Thomas rode up with a grim look and warned solemnly, "Some of my men tried scouting ahead and wound up just like that!"
"Hold back—no rash actions!"
Leo Ray raised his hand, his forehead wrinkling in concern.
They'd thoroughly checked for magic traps around the gate entrance earlier and detected zilch.
Yet here, in what seemed secure ground, one had triggered, sending a shiver of dread through the spine.
"Human Majesty, this isn't your typical magic trap—it's a spatial one, which standard scans can't pick up."
Sina creased her brow too and explained to Leo Ray, "Looks like the witch demons' withdrawal activated all these spatial traps fully."
"Is the huge size because of all these spatial traps crammed in?"
Old Susan, as if struck by insight, burst out.
With Old Susan's words hanging, realization dawned across our entire force.
Stretching the territory dozens of times over naturally ramps up the challenge of reaching the foe's heart by the same measure!
"Bring every space series expert here—they're probably our best shot at dismantling these spatial traps."
Leo Ray issued the directive without pause.
Moments after Leo Ray's call, five Tier 6 space specialists and more than fifty Tier 5 ones assembled in front of him, counting those from the Broken Valley Alliance.
Our assembly looked formidable enough, but space series talents were incredibly scarce, pulling from our full reserves; Jasper Richardson, by Leo Ray's side, was in the midst of a level-up and couldn't join.
"Human Majesty, we've inspected it closely; this is definitely a space series magic trap, and a highly sophisticated one at that."
A youthful water elf specialist, bearing a resemblance to Old Susan, advanced and informed Leo Ray, "A trap this intricate, with such broad space folding, would demand Demigod Level power."
Leo Ray had discovered earlier that this young water elf was Old Susan's sibling, Ellie, serving as the water elf clan's Grand Elder, boasting Sixth Rank Four Stars strength.
Ellie's statement sparked fresh unrest among the gathered specialists around them.
Put simply, a powerhouse beyond the Seventh Stage truly existed in this place, a terrifying force that backed up Human Majesty's hunch about demons hiding within.
"Elder Ellie, can we sense these magic traps at all?"
Leo Ray steadied himself and pressed on with the question.
"Not with just my power alone, but if we all combine efforts here, it could be possible."
Ellie considered it for a beat and inclined her head toward Leo Ray.
"I see, then take charge, Elder. Setting these magic traps shows the enemy doesn't trust their ability to take us head-on."
Leo Ray dipped his chin faintly and rallied the group at the same time.
"Right away, Human Majesty."
Ellie acknowledged with a nod before directing the other space series experts to begin.
Soon enough, as a pulse of space series energy rippled out, the nearby area shifted in a jaw-dropping way.
All at once, distortions warped the space in multiple spots, revealing sharp, blade-like clear edges packed densely all around, even up in the air, resembling hidden chasms' maws, gaping and ready to devour.
Faced with this spine-tingling display, the onlookers couldn't help drawing in sharp, cold breaths; without caution, they'd have faced devastating casualties.
Luckily, wide openings separated most of the traps with plenty of room, carving out a viable route ahead.
"Time's short—let's advance."
Having mapped a secure path, just as Leo Ray opened his mouth to urge them on, an unexpected twist struck without warning.
