Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2666: 1466: Desperation and Counterattack (Part 2)

“Don’t worry, Lord Leader. From what I see, those foes are trapped like turtles in a jar, clueless and terrified right now.”
The skeletal features of the gray-robed Witch Demon twisted in wild glee as he chuckled, “This is all because of Lord Leader’s brilliant tactics in battle. Soon, they’ll all become undead slaves one after another.”
After the gray-robed Witch Demon spoke, the nearby Witch Demons echoed his sentiments, filling the air with eerie cackles and cheers along the walls of Forest White Giant City.
“Wait, something doesn’t feel right.”
The Witch Demon Leader thought briefly before ordering the gray-robed Witch Demon, “Lead seventy percent of the city’s guards outside to support the Undead Army in crushing those pests. Wipe them out fast. Turn every last one to ashes!”
“Yes, Lord Leader.”
Though the gray-robed Witch Demon doubted our forces could last much longer, he swiftly obeyed, guiding a massive group of Witch Demons and Dead Spirits charging from the gates.
Soon enough, with the robe-wearing Witch Demon’s troops merging into the assault and more Undead Army units pouring in from every side, the onslaught against us grew even more brutal.
The strain on our Absolute Defense Barrier mounted at an alarming rate, and despite nearly every Magic-type strong person pouring in their power, fissures started appearing on the Barrier Wall, spreading like wildfire.
Beneath this relentless barrage, the moment the Absolute Defense Barrier breaks, our doom is sealed.
“Everyone, give it everything you’ve got—we can’t go down here!”
Sina positioned herself at the Energy-Supplying Array, feeding mana into it as she yelled, “The Human Emperor is fighting to turn the tide for us, so we have to hold out long enough for him!”
Sina’s call boosted the magicians’ morale; resolve hardened their expressions, and through their combined push, several tiny fractures in the Barrier Wall began to mend.
Yet this brief improvement faded quickly. When multiple Water Elf powerhouses fell from mana exhaustion, the mended parts of the Barrier Wall fractured anew at a frantic pace, heaping enormous stress on the rest.
As the defensive burden kept rising, mana drained away at a blistering speed, and before long, additional magic users toppled over with ashen faces—some coughing up blood from harsh magical rebound.
At the same time, the physical-type strong persons could merely observe in frustration as the fissures overhead widened swiftly, feeling helpless. While tending to the downed magicians, they readied themselves for a final, desperate stand, each embracing a fatal determination.
Everyone understood full well that the Barrier Wall’s fall would mean total annihilation for us.
Even as they tried to conceal it, despair crept rapidly through our ranks, mirroring the fracturing Barrier Wall overhead.
“Hahaha, those pests are on the brink of breaking!”
Amid the horde of Undead Army, the gray-robed Witch Demon’s emaciated visage contorted in a smirk, and he bellowed with laughter, “Save that Human Race Emperor for me—I’ll make him my slave!”
“Hehe, I claim that Snake Chief from the Desert Alliance!”
“I’ll settle for that young lion from the Rainforest Fortress Alliance, haha!”
“No snatching from me—I’ve wanted to undead-ify that Water Elf leader for ages!”
“I hear the Human Emperor has a Queen of Coldflame City with him; she piques my interest, so you lot can divvy up the others!”
These words sparked eager excitement among the other Witch Demons, their faces lighting up with mischievous glee.
Unrestrained, the Witch Demons unleashed their full arsenal while directing their undead followers into a savage frenzy, some even kicking and trampling in manic laughter.
“Pests remain pests; it looks like even I, the leader, worried too much.”
From the Forest White Giant City’s ramparts, the Witch Demon Leader gazed scornfully at our crumbling defenses below, then pivoted to head deeper into the city.
But the instant the Witch Demon Leader moved forward, our fog-enshrouded lines suddenly released a surge of golden energy, exploding outward and sweeping across the area, standing out starkly against the heavy black mist.
This golden energy wave surged with astonishing speed, disappearing over the horizon in a flash while still radiating its power.
“What happened? What was that thing?”
This sudden shift caught the Witch Demons off guard, but a quick scan revealed no damage to themselves.
“Heh, it must be the Human Race Emperor trying to scare us!”
The gray-robed Witch Demon scoffed, his expression dripping with mockery, “Press the assault—pulverize those pests to bone powder!”
With that, the other Witch Demons steadied their nerves and refocused on our army, teetering on the edge of total defeat.
However, right as the Witch Demons prepared to launch their next ferocious barrage, they noticed numerous dead spirits nearby breaking free from their command without reason, their bony frames now etched with glowing golden symbols.
