Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2652: 1459: Pursuit and Fierce Battle (Part 2)

Xiao Jing's tone turned even more pressing as she warned, “It looks like she's picked up on some threat closing in!”

Before Xiao Jing could even wrap up her words, a low rumble echoed through the air, mixed with the heavy scraping of massive rocks rubbing together.

Right away, a wave of sinister aura and killing intent burst forth from every side, transforming the once peaceful cavern below into a chaotic storm.

“Your Majesty of the Humans, that's the presence of the Witch Demons and the Dead Spirits!”

Loris, gripping his enormous axe across his body, creased his brow and declared, “The foes have laid a trap right here!”

As expected, the instant Loris uttered those words, glowing crimson spots appeared in pairs at the mouths of the dark tunnels that had been utterly black before, and hordes of Witch Demons along with Dead Spirits charged out, radiating savage power.

Having just arrived in the middle of a wide space, the adversaries swiftly created a vast ring, trapping us completely.

Up in the sky too, a flock of undead resembling winged humanoids soared, their bony wings pulsing with magic as they beat rhythmically, glaring down at us from on high.

In that instant of shock, Leo Ray spotted that the old tunnel they'd entered through was now fully sealed off, swarming with countless Witch Demons and mighty Dead Spirits emerging.

It became obvious that the earlier grinding of those huge stones was probably the noise from the enemies unsealing a hidden route inside.

“Heh, never thought you'd actually dare to strike here, what a bunch of fools overreaching.”

A derisive, raspy voice rang out, and the Witch Demon Vice Leader emerging next to Lucas advanced leisurely, his bony features twisted in scorn, “Too bad, you're all destined to join their ranks soon.”

With that said, the Witch Demon Vice Leader reached out a withered claw, slapping firmly on the shoulder of a formidable Dead Spirit close by.

This Dead Spirit, its skull riddled with fissures and topped by a faded, shattered crown, stared with hollow sockets blazing scarlet. Its jaw rattled against its fangs, producing a chilling “thunk thunk thunk” sound, utterly horrifying.

“You rascal, quit yapping to yourself over there, I'll yank off that withered skull of yours soon enough!”

Loris brandished his Tier 6 massive axe with fury, then shot a look at Leo Ray, murmuring softly, “Your Majesty of the Humans, what's our move?”

Despite his fiery disposition as the rainforest chief, he wasn't one to charge blindly, and he sure wouldn't dive in without thought.

Once Loris had spoken, Sina directed a grave look his way too, clearly seeking Leo Ray's opinion.

She'd already detected that these Witch Demons and robust Dead Spirits all held power surpassing Tier 5, and their count was over double what we had.

The chief of them, plus that crowned Dead Spirit, matched her own Tier 6 Seven Stars level, an opponent nowhere near easy to deal with.

On top of that, being in the Witch Demons' territory, who knew what extra tricks they might pull.

For that instant, beads of sweat formed on the brows of our elite warriors, Loris and Sina included, and none of us wanted to risk it, since these Witch Demons clearly outstripped our expectations in might.

Up against enemies stronger and more plentiful than us, one misstep might spell total annihilation.

“Follow the initial strategy, push through to that tunnel we spotted before!”

Leo Ray shot back without a second's pause, “Once we're in that tighter corridor, the foes' edge in numbers will drop a lot!”

“Your Majesty of the Humans speaks true, time to hack our way out!”

Loris clutched his huge axe firmly, voicing instant support, as Sina concentrated her energy, readying herself.

Next, backed by Loris and Sina, per Leo Ray's orders, our elite forces dashed toward the tunnel housing the stone spirits.

All the while, the opponents didn't sit still. Directed by the Witch Demon Vice Leader, a storm of arrows and bone lances poured down, yet Little Jie's readied Absolute Defense Barrier blocked them all.

In no time at all, Leo Ray guided our elites right up to the edge of the enemy's lines.

With a sharp crack.

The second they collided, as anticipated, the Absolute Defense Barriers from both groups exploded at once, trailed by fierce blasts of energy and the ring of clashing arms.

“All of you, stay on my tail, make them feel our teeth and talons!”

The Lion-man Clan's elites, under Loris's command, struck first, bellowing as they bounded into the bone-pale enemy ranks.

The adversaries countered fiercely, sending waves of skeleton soldiers shielded by energy fields to swarm around Loris and his initial breakthroughs.

As top forces in the Rainforest Fortress Alliance, the Lion-man Clan led by Loris, full of battle-hardened members, handled the outnumbering threats effortlessly, spinning through devastating spins amid the foes.

Beyond the Lion-man Clan, elites from the Tiger-man Clan, Leopard-man Clan, and rest of the Rainforest Fortress Alliance joined swiftly, helping Loris secure a base in the heart of the enemy setup.

Meanwhile, Old Susan and the Water Elves, Thomas with the Centaurs, and Lina's relatives all displayed their prowess, firing off volleys of arrows and incantations.

At the same time, the Desert Alliance's warriors spearheaded by Sina held nothing back, Lannis directing the Catman Clan, alongside keen fighters from the Fox People Tribe jumping in, as Medusas and Fishmen famed for distance strikes hurled petrifying beams and spears to bolster the vanguard.

Our coalition's elites, centered on Leo Ray, shone brightly, with Treants such as Shuert morphing into giant trunks, knocking back multiple Dead Spirits in one broad swing.

Broy alongside the Dwarf Elves maneuvered Alchemy Puppets, syncing with the rushes and pounds from Trolls and Minotaurs, rapidly ripping a gap in the enemy lines.

The Fairy Clan's elites, guided by Crisis and Fanny, offered arcane aid, even raising a few Magic Fortresses to repel threats from flanking sides.

Dragonborn warriors like Nal lunged at the airborne bird-like undead, clashing in brutal combat.

Leo Ray himself let loose his utmost strength, starting with a line of Thunder Magic Towers, then unleashing Thunder Fox Burst, Whale Fall Thunder Explosion, and Thunderfall, his blows sparking brilliant violet flashes and roars of lightning plus scorched earth over the field.

Thanks to our warriors' combined efforts, the Witch Demon and Dead Spirit guards at the tunnel entrance soon descended into chaos.

Despite their vast numbers, the enemies buckled under our focused assault on one spot, resulting in this mess.

As shouts of war and power surges intensified, right when our elites appeared set to slice the enemy array apart, the Witch Demon Vice Leader brought more Witch Demons to seal the tunnel mouth.

What's more, more than a hundred Tier 6 Dead Spirits, featuring that sinister crowned one from before, swooped in, positioning themselves directly in front of the Witch Demons.

“You mere insects trying to topple a giant tree, no way you'll pierce this trap!”

The Witch Demon Vice Leader sneered with utter contempt, issuing orders that sent a legion of Tier 6 Dead Spirits, seething with deathly vibes, charging our way.

This abrupt influx of enemy backup stalled our momentum sharply.

In that brief lull, additional foe supports flooded in, hastily building a fresh barrier that once more hemmed in our elites at the middle.

Especially for Loris and the forward Lion-man Clan warriors, they ended up hemmed in by the opponent's Tier 6 Dead Spirits, turning the fight dire, with several Lion-man fighters taken off guard howling in pain as they dropped, cries filling the air.
