Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2598: 1431: Dialogue Between Administrators_2

“M, what are you trying to imply with this?”
L’s tone was laced with clear bewilderment, and while K remained silent, his expression mirrored that same confusion.
“It’s like this!”
M gave a confident snort before launching into a detailed account regarding the mysterious vanishing of Dana and Davis.
“Such an event occurred? Based on my understanding of the Forest Fortress Alliance’s leadership, they aren’t the type to engage in such maneuvers.”
Administrator L pondered for a moment, speaking with a thoughtful air.
“Brother L, are you hinting that the Desert Alliance under my jurisdiction is responsible?”
Administrator K folded his arms, his voice sharp with irritation.
“I made no such claim. However, several powerful figures from the Desert Alliance did interfere with the market using private invitations during the previous opening. It caused me immense trouble and nearly destroyed the Forest Fortress Alliance’s confidence in me!”
Turning to face K, Administrator L snapped back: “I am stating facts here, am I not?”
“Those were merely disgraced experts exiled from the Desert Alliance; they have long since severed ties with us.”
Administrator K gave a dismissive shrug and countered: “What about you? Didn’t you clandestinely send invitations to my own contacts last time? Such poaching is hardly a noble tactic.”
“So what? As long as the Bazaar Brotherhood’s regulations don't forbid it, I am within my rights.”
Administrator L acted unbothered, replying coolly: “If you hadn't been so negligent with your invitations last time, I never would have found the opening.”
“That only happened because my invitation slots were already full; it didn't mean I was abandoning those connections!”
Administrator K stepped forward until his visor nearly touched L’s, continuing the heated debate.
“Enough, both of you. This is hardly the time for such bickering.”
Seeing the two drift further off-topic, our administrator intervened quickly: “The reason M and I brought these disappearances to your attention is that the Human Emperor has devised a solution to settle this matter.”
Following that statement, our administrator gave a brief summary of the proposal to organize a high-level market.
“Brother N, did I hear that correctly? Hosting a high-level market necessitates using Tier 6 Equipment as the centerpiece of the trade. Even if the Human Emperor’s wealth has increased, can he truly provide Tier 6 Equipment?”
Administrator K appeared highly doubtful of our capability to pull this off, adding with a hint of scorn: “Mere Tier 5 Equipment won't be enough to entice the high-ranking members of the Desert Alliance.”
“The same applies to the Rainforest Fortress Alliance.”
Administrator L’s voice returned to a condescending tone as he agreed: “Brother N, neither of us currently possesses the means to host a high-level market. You should stop dwelling on such impractical fantasies…”
Administrator L’s sentence was cut short as he fell into a stunned silence. Our administrator had produced two sets of Tier 6 Equipment, leaving both L and K staring in wide-eyed shock.
While they had encountered Tier 6 Equipment in the past, such treasures had been out of their reach ever since their rankings declined. Seeing them now sparked a wave of amazement and deep emotion within them.
“Well? Do you finally grasp the extent of the Human Emperor’s power?”
M’s attitude turned arrogant once more as he stood beside our administrator.
“Brother L, Brother K, the resources available to the Human Emperor exceed your wildest dreams. Our purpose in summoning you today is to extend the Human Emperor’s friendship.”
N followed up on the momentum, stating: “If you both assist us in making this high-level market a success, you will naturally receive a generous portion of the profits.”
“Exactly. We are both merchants and protectors of commerce; there is no logical reason to turn away profit, is there?”
M walked slowly in front of L and K, basking in his borrowed influence: “Furthermore, if your efforts impress the Human Emperor, his resources—and perhaps a few recommendations from us—could even help you raise your rankings. It is well within the realm of possibility!”
Under the combined pressure of M and our administrator’s words, L and K’s confidence visibly faltered, and they seemed to be reconsidering.
After a short silence, K regained his composure and was the first to speak: “In the end, this is just your side of the story. Simply possessing a few pieces of Tier 6 Equipment doesn't provide a lasting benefit to all of us administrators.”
“He’s right. And if the Human Emperor truly puts an end to the conflict and brings peace to everything, how will we continue to profit in this current state of chaos?”
L also recovered his wits, nodding in agreement: “We cannot sacrifice our long-term interests for a quick, temporary gain!”
These arguments left both M and our administrator momentarily at a loss for words.
After all, the recently recruited M had no genuine grasp of Leo Ray’s true nature and was simply bluffing to gain favor.
While our administrator knew Leo Ray better, he was uncertain of the full scale of Leo Ray’s wealth or if it was enough to bolster all four Shadow Markets. Most importantly, he didn't know if Leo Ray was willing to provide the extra benefits needed to elevate the ranks of so many markets.
Just as our administrator was about to respond, a composed voice echoed from inside the Manager’s Castle: “Administrator, our guests are welcome. Let them all enter.”
The speaker was none other than Leo Ray, who had clearly been monitoring the administrators’ entire conversation.
Leo Ray had remained hidden to gauge the true motivations of the other two administrators. Now that he had M’s loyalty secured and knew that L and K were driven by profit, the path forward was clear.
“?!”
Hearing Leo Ray’s sudden command, the newcomer M was startled at first, but quickly looked delighted.
So the Human Emperor had been watching the whole time; surely his performance would earn him the Emperor's approval!
Administrator L and Administrator K exchanged looks of surprise. The Manager’s Castle was a restricted zone within the market, rarely accessible even to the leaders of great powers. This proved that the Human Emperor held immense status here and possessed the absolute trust of both M and N.
“As you wish, Your Human Majesty.”
Our administrator answered immediately, signaling for L and K to follow him inside.
Upon entering the Castle Hall, which radiated an ancient atmosphere, they found Leo Ray already seated at the head of a meticulously prepared table.
“Everyone, may I present His Imperial Majesty, the renowned Emperor of the Humans!”
Our administrator introduced him with a voice full of pride.
However, despite the administrator’s respectful tone and Leo Ray’s calm outward appearance, Leo Ray was not entirely relaxed.
One had to remember that while these four administrators weren't perfectly aligned, each was a Tier 6 Peak Expert. They radiated a terrifying pressure similar to that of the Malevolent Deity’s Chosen Son, proving their immense strength.
Had it not been for the Shadow Market’s neutral status since the Blank Era and his alliance with our administrator, Leo Ray would not have risked coming here so easily.
Nevertheless, Leo Ray held many trump cards, including multiple Tier 6 Summon Scrolls with Stone Spirits ready to be called forth, giving him the confidence to proceed.
After the initial greetings, Administrator K looked Leo Ray up and down before speaking: “I have long heard of the Human Majesty’s fame; seeing you in person confirms that your reputation is well-deserved. Even among the greatest powers, a young dual-Peak Tier 6 Expert is a rarity.”
After the pleasantries, K’s voice became cold and businesslike: “But Your Majesty, what exactly can you provide that would convince us to give up our long-term profits in exchange for cooperating with you?”
“Administrator K, I offer you these.”
Leo Ray offered a thin smile and gave a casual wave of his hand.
