Adam struggles to master the Soul Stance, even as Nukra and Amelia push him in training. Realizing he needs real danger to improve, Adam challenges Nukra to a no-holds-barred fight. He then reveals a new, surprising transformation of his needle weapon.

Slash.

The wide black blade came crashing down on Nukra once again, forcing her to jump sharply to the side.

The barrier surrounding the training hall trembled, absorbing the force of Adam’s attack.

Nukra’s eyes swept across the battlefield, causing her to frown.

Since she had summoned her Arc, they had exchanged dozens of attacks, but she still couldn’t get used to Adam’s needle.

"Tsk, it can freely change its shape and size. And... unlike most opponents who can’t do anything to my ice, for his needle, that’s no problem."

Tap.

Nukra stretched her arms out to the sides as the ice transformed into a long, heavy chain. It was significantly larger than the one she’d used to defeat Mudaro.

’Alright, what if I try this?’

With a sweeping motion, Nukra hurled the ice chain straight at Adam, who was on the other side of the arena.

’She knows this is useless against me. Why is she trying again?’

That was Adam’s first thought.

He gripped the hilt of his needle tighter, preparing to shatter the chain, but soon something made his pupils narrow.

The chains trembled as ice energy flowed through them, as if blue flashes of lightning were racing along the links.

’This isn’t a weapon, it’s a bomb!’

Nukra smirked. She understood everything from Adam’s expression. She knew he didn’t have time to dodge.

Step.

Suddenly, Adam stepped forward, releasing his needle.

"Agh...?"

Confused, Nukra watched as Adam moved toward her, even though in a second her chain would crash down on him in a frost blast.

Perhaps if they had fought ten days ago, Adam would have had no choice but to try to run as far away as possible to minimize the damage from the blast.

But here, he had learned not only how to change the shape of his needle, but also something else.

Whooooosh!

A wing unfolded to his left as Adam activated the End Bliss. He had acquired this ability while fighting Vaarh, but since then he had learned to modify it, and now that he had a new type of thread, his capabilities had expanded even further.

Instead of three types of threads, his wing now consisted only of amber and white light. However, these weren’t two separate threads but a single composite one, the same one Adam had used to stitch Vador’s Evolution Tree together.

The amber-and-white threads possessed a great deal of energy and high durability. These effects complemented each other, especially when using these threads for defense.

Step.

With Adam’s next step, the wing woven from dual threads covered his left side like a large shield, protecting both his head and legs.

Crack!

The ice chain crashed into the thread wing, shattering into hundreds of frosty crystals.

Nukra’s eyes widened in disbelief as soon as Adam appeared right in front of her.

BAM!

His fist sank deep into her stomach, causing her eyes to widen in pain.

Adam’s eyes were focused as he was about to step aside and strike from a different angle, but...

Clutch.

Suddenly, Nukra gripped his wrist tightly, with such force that he couldn’t move an inch.

"So that’s how it is. You decided to use defense against me? Fine, I’ll show you why you shouldn’t have done that!" Nukra shouted with pure anger in her voice.

Confusion spread across Adam’s face as Nukra’s fist slammed into his face. The five heavy rings immediately broke his nose, and two streams of blood gushed out.

His wing trembled as Adam tried to defend himself, but Nukra had no intention of stopping. She struck again, breaking through the layer of amber-and-white threads.

Crack.

Two of the five rings on her right hand cracked, causing Amelia to flinch. She stood in the distance, watching their fight intently.

"Unbelievable. Are his threads so strong that Nukra damaged her Arc during the attack? And... did he use those threads to heal the father?" Amelia thought as a slight smile appeared on her face.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Nukra didn’t slow down. She only sped up.

Adam tried to block her punches, but he couldn’t keep up with her movements. After all, Nukra was now at the Baron Level, and her combat experience was even greater.

"Gha!" Adam gasped as another punch slammed straight into his solar plexus.

However, he wasn’t about to give up.

"That’s not all!" Adam exclaimed as his eyes filled with blood and he stepped forward, clenching his fist tightly.

For the next few minutes, the sounds of punches echoed through the training hall, and Adam took the brunt of them.

Nukra struck faster and harder, and her frost further slowed Adam down, giving her the upper hand.

"Here’s another one!" Nukra struck as a frosty whirlwind filled her fist.

Adam crossed his arms in front of him, but the impact was too powerful for that block to be enough.

SLAM!

His back hit the ground as Nukra jumped on top of him, continuing her relentless strikes.

Amelia flinched as she was about to step forward, but Nukra’s fierce expression stopped her from going any further.

’No. I have to let them finish. If I interrupt them now, all this training will be for nothing.’

Splash!

Blood spattered in all directions as Adam tried to fight back, but it was obvious to everyone that his strength was running out.

Unlike Amelia, who had landed only one serious blow last time, Nukra had long since crossed that line.

Amelia was afraid of hurting Adam too badly, since he was supposed to heal Vador, but Nukra wasn’t thinking about that.

She attacked with all her might, even as the floor crumbled and Adam’s eyes began to close.

"Fuck... She’s really not going to stop, is she?" Adam thought as Nukra’s fist slammed into his face yet again.

’Arh...’

’I have to move. But... I can’t even lift my arm. My aura won’t do anything to her, and my energy can’t penetrate her cold.’

Bam! Bam! Bam!

The punches continued while Adam tried to do something, but he couldn’t even budge.

Twitch.

His fingertips twitched as a loud crack rang out, but it didn’t come from the real world.

Two aura flows appeared in his inner space, black and white, moving straight toward his Evolution Tree.

Soon, the flows swirled into a vortex, seemingly intent on carving something into the Evolution Tree under immense pressure.

The Silver Weaver watched from the sidelines as a satisfied smirk appeared on his face.

When the two aura flows dried up, a great seal with a tempest imprint remained on the Evolution Tree’s white bark.

"Good job, Adam. Now, it’s your turn to attack. Huh, if you can get up, that is, but you should have enough strength for one strike, right?"
