Adam and Sarka encountered the second servant of the Frenzied Shard, a massive predatory flower with over a dozen animated root minions bearing faint amber flames. Sarka banished the first servant and explained that destroying the flower would release the Shard's energy, revealing its location guarded by the third servant empowered by that energy. As they charged into battle with auras flaring, the flower roared while its roots surged forward, but a blazing meteorite suddenly plummeted toward the ground, drawing all eyes upward.

Initially, Adam felt completely puzzled. He had no clue about how to track down the Frenzied Shard, but the moment the first servant showed up, the puzzle solved itself.

Adam and Sarka just had to hunt down every single servant. Doing so would guide them right to the Frenzied Shard that commanded their loyalty.

Things were unfolding exactly as planned.

The second servant seemed way more formidable than the first. Proof lay in the massive predatory flower itself, plus its overwhelming aura and swarm of minions.

Even so, both Adam and Sarka felt zero uncertainty—they were certain they'd dominate and crush the second servant with ease. At most, they'd suffer minor scrapes, nothing more.

Yet... the sudden arrival of a colossal meteorite caught them off guard. No mere debris or lookalike beast, this was a genuine flaming rock from the heavens, aimed straight at Adam, Sarka, the second servant, and the entire zone around the golden clock.

Adam and Sarka shared a quick look. They were moments from striking the second servant, its veins now easy to reach, but everything shifted in an instant.

Whoooooooosh!

Right at the final second, Adam and Sarka dodged away, putting maximum distance between themselves and the incoming meteorite.

After several swift jumps, they perched atop fallen columns, observing the chaos from afar.

RRRGGGGGGGSSSSSHHOOOO!!!

A shrill cry erupted from the second servant as its living roots ignited. The tiny minions stood no chance against the ferocious blaze—even prior to ground impact, they'd reduce to mere cinders.

Accepting the unavoidable doom, the second servant unfurled its bud, shooting red and amber glows skyward.

A thick barrier materialized mere instants before the meteorite smashed in.

Adam's pupils contracted sharply while he eyed the dazzling explosion.

Tremble! Tremble! Tremble!

The explosive shockwave ravaged the surroundings, obliterating all in proximity to the golden clock.

Temporarily, through the heavy smoke, just a crimson blaze lingered, gradually expanding deeper into the Pit.

Adam's gaze swept back and forth, surveying the widespread ruin.

Destruction had claimed everything but the golden clock. It loomed like an unbreakable pillar close to the crater, as if bracing for something far grander.

"Damn, so amid all this trash around, special items exist too, huh?"

Still, that wasn't the priority racing through his mind then.

Neither Adam nor Sarka grasped the meteorite's origin. No way it plummeted randomly just as their fight kicked off.

Shortly after, two figures descended from overhead, accompanied by a booming, gleeful cackle.

"Hahahahahahah! Sarka, your expression is priceless! Nothing beats witnessing your terror!"

Instantly, Adam and Sarka tilted their heads upward.

"What the…?" Adam muttered, spotting two hovering forms—a man and a girl.

The man stood tall, though not matching Larth's stature, his build remained striking. Oddly, height marked many monsters in this realm.

Black hair fell to his shoulders, paired with an arrogant stare, and a flowing white robe cloaked his body.

Beside him hovered a crimson-haired girl flashing a mischievous grin, like a kid reveling in a successful trick. Her white robe mirrored his but cut shorter and bolder, optimized for combat over ceremony.

One detail snagged Adam's attention.

Unlike Sarka or Larth, their robes bore a circular emblem on the chest—the top half shadowed black, the bottom hollow. It evoked badges of the officials who aided his drop to the Lower Ring, yet no real link existed.

'Pure chance, but... given its design, does it suggest that-?'

"Loargh!" Sarka bellowed, fists balled tight. "And you… Vyora! What in blazes are you doing here?"

Adam shot Sarka a sidelong glance.

'Huh, so they're acquainted? Not buddies, but not foes either, yeah?'

"Well, well, like you two, we came to the Pit chasing another Frenzied Shard."

Vyora sneered down at Sarka, clearly aiming to rile her up maximally.

"Exactly. Best way to prove who's superior!" Vyora taunted with a dismissive wave.

Sarka ground her teeth, fury building steadily, until Loargh and Vyora spotted the extra presence.

"Agh…?" Vyora blinked repeatedly, fixating on Adam in disbelief.

Loargh arched a brow too.

True, they'd glimpsed Adam and Sarka before targeting the second servant, but no chance for close inspection.

They figured Sarka, a Fang, was aiding some monster in securing a Frenzied Shard for the Hollow Mark.

Ultimately, monsters craved power growth; no one but themselves could harness the Frenzied Shard's essence, though locating it often proved toughest.

The Pit brimmed with peril, Frenzied Shards deploying every trick via servants for defense.

"Hold on, hold on!" Vyora burst out, rattled. "Loargh, check it out! That's… a Phantom!"

Loargh stroked his chin pensively.

"Intriguing. Never heard of a Phantom surfacing in our territory. And furthermore…" His eyes fixed on Adam extendedly. "Who'd guess it was this one?"

Adam stood baffled as Vyora tousled her hair, gawking at him like an idol's devotee.

"Holy shit! Spot on! Just clicked for me!"

Vyora yelled.

"It's freaking Adam Vinter!"

Oddly, Adam topped the shock list.

How come Sarka and crew ignored his identity, while Vyora and Loargh flipped out like typical K1-Phantoms upon encounter?
