Endless Debt Chapter 705 - 201: Ultimate Bliss Fury_2

~4 minute read · 909 words

The ether spread like a deadly poison, and the Injury of Bliss instantly consumed Bologue, with countless cruel images swirling in his mind, Aimou’s wail echoed in his ears.

The Alchemy Matrix on his skin flickered, and Bologue nearly lost balance and fell. On the opposite side, Hert fared no better; the Injury of Bliss would amplify perception and inflict eerie hallucinations. Hert once again saw his wife and daughter, and rustling noises filled his ears as a swarm of fat rats hurriedly crawled out from the shadows.

The intense sword fight between Hert and Bologue halted for a few seconds, like a halftime break. Both needed a moment to recover. Then, almost simultaneously, they got back on their feet, and blades clashed again.

Relying on the power of eternal endurance, the Injury of Bliss did not affect Canary much. She charged towards the Iron Coffin with determination, the dagger in her hand glowing faintly.

This was a specially prepared Alchemy Armament by Canary to hunt Bai Ou. Should it strike Bai Ou, it would greatly weaken his Undying Body.

But before Canary could deliver a heavy blow to Bai Ou through the Iron Coffin, Hert realized something was amiss. The Ethereal Blade in his hand grew increasingly bright as if he were wielding roaring thunder.

"Get out of the way!"

Hert roared, hurling the Ethereal Blade at Bologue. Bologue swiftly retreated; meanwhile, the iron plates underfoot rose one by one, raising a series of Iron Thorns, trying to block Hert, but with the sudden flash of white light, everything obstructive was slashed to smithereens.

Sharp fragments cut Bologue’s cheek, the pain imposed by the Injury of Bliss echoed in his mind. He did not continue retreating; instead, he actively faced Hert. Bologue intended to use his Undying Body to hold Hert off until Canary had completely dealt with Bai Ou.

The swords swirled wildly with biting killing intent, slicing anything that attempted to get close. Hert deliberately plunged into Bologue’s net of slaughter, and suddenly, the hatred on Hert’s face vanished, replaced by a trace of disdainful smile.

Hert’s figure began to blur, the shining Alchemy Matrix gradually crumbled, along with his body dissipating into mist.

The swift swords cut through the mist but failed to capture Hert. At this moment of confrontation, Hert used Etherealization to avoid Bologue’s attack and, by utilizing Secret Energy·Fog Kill, bypassed the obstacles, racing towards Bai Ou.

Bologue immediately turned back to chase, "Canary, he’s coming!"

Hearing Bologue’s warning, Canary instantly exerted tremendous force on the surrounding area. The tilted metal flattened one after another, and even the scattered iron debris fell.

But this couldn’t suppress the mist.

The surging white fog expanded like a ghostly army marching forward. The Ethereal Blade flickered behind the mist; under Hert’s rapid swings, they resembled a swarm of dancing fireflies. Each flickering ember could easily tear through steel.

Canary was not an Undead, and at this moment, she was besieged from both sides. If she turned to face Hert, Bai Ou would shatter the Iron Coffin. But continuing to assassinate Bai Ou, she couldn’t ensure her survival under Hert’s slashes.

A dagger whooshed through the air; as Bologue warned Canary, it had already been swung. Sped up by Ethereal Amplification, it reached Canary’s back before Hert’s slash fell.

Shifting Form and Shadow.

The Phantom Dagger swapped the distant Bologue to Canary’s back. Bologue wielded his strength, lifting his hand to pull the upper metal, which then fell like a torrential downpour, colliding with the oncoming glow, transforming into a spray of scattered iron debris.

Canary marveled at Bologue’s swift reaction; then she forcefully thrust out the dagger in her hand. Meanwhile, the Iron Coffin, suppressed by the Thousand Jin Power, began to shake violently, with the gaps further widening. A bloody hand bore the heavy pressure, grasping Canary’s wrist tightly, preventing the dagger from falling.

"Canary, why can’t you understand me?"

A deep, venomous, and resentful voice sounded.

A bizarre pulling sensation arose from Canary’s heart. She could feel a force summoning the scattered ether around, a central point appearing out of thin air, like a vortex dug out in the sea. It pulled the ether, the wind, all matter, as a tyrannical king would. Heaven and earth trembled and shook along.

More and more cracks snapped and crumbled across the Iron Coffin. Canary tried to reinforce the imprisonment, but it was all too late.

With a thundering collapse, Bai Ou’s deformed and decay-ridden body emerged. In a brief moment, his body was crushed and healed several times. Ether gathered within him, with a concentration so high it crystallized, piercing through his flesh.

Large luminous crystals grew throughout his joints and organs. Even now, Bai Ou remained a Negative Power User, but his immense Ethereal Amount nearly matched a Defender’s. Supported by this massive ether, even with Canary’s full suppression, she couldn’t bring him down like before.

"Belphegor deceived us. Look at what he has bestowed!"

Bai Ou’s gaze went beyond Canary, fixed on Bologue, his voice roaring.

"I was once his most devout follower, traversing the mortal world, never to rest, just to satisfy his desires... All I wanted was to serve him eternally, but how does he respond to us? With the promise of beauty after death!"
