The gold and jewels scattered before their eyes, the Scavenger Rat froze for a second, the thunder light reflecting on the precious metals, the warm light flashing across Scavenger Rat’s eyes.

"Run quickly!"

The Divination Master screamed at the Scavenger Rat.

The Scavenger Rat saved the Divination Master’s life, saved by an unexpected person in such a situation, the Divination Master felt an indescribable emotion.

The Divination Master didn’t consider himself a good person, but now he truly had a benevolent wish, he hoped Scavenger Rat could survive.

People like the Divination Master didn’t have much benevolence to speak of, he was well aware of his own nature, yet precisely because of this, the Divination Master wished that his almost "crazed" behavior could last a bit longer, just like in many stories where in the end, the villain suddenly awakens.

Wins so-called redemption.

The Divination Master struggled to suppress the fear in his heart and those despicable traits, he reached out, trying to push the Scavenger Rat to leave, the Scavenger Rat had already saved him once, there was no need to save him a second time.

The Scavenger Rat was unmoved, but it wasn’t to save the Divination Master, the Scavenger Rat showed a face of greed and madness, grabbing handfuls of gold and jewels, stuffing them into his torn pocket.

"What the hell is wrong with you?"

The Divination Master shouted, a woman-wielded metal severed the tunnel, like a wall, blocking the Divination Master’s path, he struggled to poke his head through the gap, constantly cursing the Scavenger Rat on the other side of the tunnel.

"Shut up! What do you know!"

The Scavenger Rat pocketed the blood-stained riches, arguing with the Divination Master, "You don’t know shit!"

As he stuffed them into the torn pocket, he yelled, "What good will it do to escape here? To another sewer?"

"Look at yourself! Hideous, like a den of plague, covered in sores, do you think any place will take you in! Will take someone like me?"

The Scavenger Rat roared at the Divination Master, as if to unleash all the accumulated resentment and anger of many years.

"I’ve had enough of this life, no more being a rat!"

The intense emotion battered the Scavenger Rat’s mind, his gaze trembled, constantly muttering, "I’m going to Opus, I’m going to receive the best treatment, I will stand tall, I will embrace a new life..."

The Scavenger Rat grabbed the heavy bag filled with wealth plundered from the dead, this would be his ticket to a new life.

The Scavenger Rat didn’t feel much reluctance for the Divination Master, compared to his new life, anyone, anything was insignificant.

The Divination Master stared blankly at the Scavenger Rat, he thought there might indeed be a trace of goodwill between him and Scavenger Rat, but for a villain, goodwill is such a luxurious word, it can only exist for a moment.

After a moment, the rats showed their despicable nature,

The Divination Master’s lips curled into a strange arc, smiling silently.

The severed steel between them began to tremble, suddenly lifting, completely slicing through the tunnel, strong winds and rain poured in.

"Not him, just two rats."

The Demon shifted its gaze away from the two confronting each other, more steel floated up, like schools of fish swimming in the storm, slowly swaying between the Demon and the woman, layering defenses while constantly preparing for an attack.

Staring at the Demon’s hideous figure, the Scavenger Rat froze, even though he had seen too many oddities today, the appearance of this creature from stories still delivered a tremendous impact.

Bright firelight flashed between the Demon’s teeth, he was ready to wipe out these two rats, but just before launching the attack, the Demon stopped.

The Scavenger Rat didn’t understand why the Demon paused, then he saw a hand covered in sores grabbing his pocket.

The Divination Master stood up with difficulty, his gaze deep and profound.

"You’re right... leaving here would just mean living in another sewer."

No more words were needed, only actions could decide everything, the frail body swung a heavy punch, the Divination Master crushed the Scavenger Rat’s nose with a single blow.

The bag filled with wealth from the dead, colliding with each other, making an enticing sound.

This was the Scavenger Rat’s ticket to a new life, and it would be the Divination Master’s as well.

The two fought fiercely, the Demon watching everything, not understanding what was happening between them, but he enjoyed watching people fight, the Demon waited for a victor to emerge, so he could burn away the victor’s flesh with fire at the pinnacle of joy.

Joy, then despair, the Demon loves such a plot.

An interesting scene caused the Demon to relax vigilance for just a moment, a moment captured by the hidden assassin.

Like the sun’s blazing burst, Ether reaction surged to the extreme in a short time, even overflowing the Alchemy Matrix. High concentrations of Ether gathered together, forming Ether Phenomenon in the air, with dazzling energy arcs striking the metal.

"Help me, Aimou."

Bologue said softly, as if reciting a spell, then his pupils brightened, the golden halo nearly molten in its brilliance.

The woman raised her left hand, the swarming metal fish tried to shield the Demon, while the Demon turned to face the rising direction of the Ether reaction.

Too slow.

Fire seeping from the corner of the Demon’s mouth, restless metal, and the Lightning that streaks across the sky.

All vividly captured in Bologue’s eyes, like slowing down a film, each frame given time to be observed.

They hadn’t slowed down, but Bologue was too fast, he marshaled all Ether, enhanced by Aimou, as Deceitful Snake Scale Liquid gathered in his palm, forging a cold Lance. Ethereal Amplification shattered the ground beneath him, rushing forward simultaneously with the Lightning.

Out of the shadows.

The scene resumed normal speed, everything accelerated, Demon turned, raised an arm to block, metal fish whistled in, cutting off Bologue’s attack route.

The cold Lance pierced them one by one, like a streaking meteor, you knew its path but couldn’t intercept.

The powerful impact tilted the Demon’s body uncontrollably, his massive chest like a rising stone mound, Bologue steadied with the Lance, one foot on the Demon’s chest, another on his head.

To lessen burden, Bologue had long discarded Iron Armor, compared to the hill-like Demon, his figure appeared thin and small.

The Demon stared at Bologue intensely, being stepped on the head was utmost humiliation, the chest-penetrating wound triggered Protection, vast Ether ready to explode, maintaining Secret Energy release, he grasped the Lance in his chest, intending to sever it, Bologue suddenly shook his head at him.

Bologue said nothing, the Demon unclear on what transpired, then felt a scorching sensation within his body.

Red Mercury gathered at the Lance tip, then Blazing Scale Burst.

A sudden powerful explosion released from the Demon’s body, though his shell was tough, it didn’t mean his internal organs were as well, heat and impact easily tearing apart the Demon’s innards, flames streamed from his mouth and nose.

Severe wounds pierced through the Demon’s Rectangular Soul Critical, Lance twisting into dense Iron Branches, penetrating his fascia and bones, like parasitic seeds sprouting, scorching iron poured into his hollowed chest, thorns pierced his eyes and ears, winding around the Demon’s body, rooting and sprouting.

With the loss of Secret Energy support, the Demon’s corpse shriveled, his non-human features vanished, his towering form rapidly shrinking, leaving a broken body within the metal-woven cage.

The swarm of metal fish rushed in, encircling Bologue tightly, the woman clenched her hands in anger, thousands of steel feathers slicing towards Bologue, upon contact they would cut him into shattered blood mist.

Bologue gazed at the woman, before the steel encirclement closed in, his figure began to twist and vanish.

Curved Path Shuttling.

Bologue appeared outside the encirclement, without pause, swiftly advancing towards the woman, where he had just been, the Phantom Dagger returned.

The woman knew well the terror of Bologue up close, she maintained composure, calling steel to form barriers, the surrounding metal fish accelerated their orbit.

Flame of the Cauldron burned alongside Bologue’s advance, large quantities of metal rose together, Bologue drew a Flame-shaped Sword from the wreckage, commanding with its swing, the woman also raised her left hand, directing the fish swarm.

Two streams of metal rose from the wreckage, colliding like opposing ocean currents, solidly crashing into each other, countless metals grinding, fierce sparks dazzled the eye, the ears thundering sharp enough to drown any roar, blood oozed from the woman’s ear canals.

Earth-shaking Thunder broke through the clouds, striking down on this Wrecked Ship Shore, lightning dashed across the metal chaos, Bologue and woman both affected by electric currents, arcs jumping between the colliding streams, the scent of burnt aftershock lingered at their noses, followed by intense pain.

Bologue stumbled a few steps, heart pounding, this wreckage was a perfect lightning conductor, Thunder hit repeatedly like a pacemaker on this vast metallic carcass.

Lightning flickered among towering metal wreckage, those aged, weathered instruments miraculously restarting under electrical charge, lights rising within the remnants.

The brightest glow sourced from the wreckage’s summit, a warship born of Scorched Earth’s Wrath, Thunder awakened its heart, years later its bright spotlight shone again, Bologue even heard a noisy broadcast, playing wartime songs from years past.

The stirring military music bore proud morale, echoing across the rain-stricken ruins, as if the souls who died here briefly revived, Bologue felt countless eyes converge upon him.

In a daze, Bologue felt he truly returned to over sixty years ago, back on that scorched battlefield.

Lifting the Flame-shaped Sword, the distant woman also rose again, eyes filled with hatred and fury.
