Endless Debt Chapter 1629 - 120: Undead Legion (Part 2)

"I don’t know," Bologue first denied, then affirmed, "But no matter what, we have to try first, don’t we?"
Olivia questioned, "Have you always been this optimistic?"
"Optimistic? I just stay practical," Bologue said, "Think when it’s time to think, and empty your mind when it isn’t."
He spun the Sword Axe, the Grudge Bite was still reliable, but the Vengeful Saw Axe was slowly devouring Bologue’s arm. Bologue felt like Oken, with the weapon becoming part of his flesh and bone. Unless his arm was severed, he couldn’t let go of the Vengeful Saw Axe.
"Even if we escape, where can we possibly run to now? Since this option of escape is meaningless, we can only fight forward with all our might."
Bologue blinked hard; under the influence of multiple forces, his spirit was exceptionally fatigued and dazed.
Thick black smoke permeated the sky, rising and spreading continuously, eventually forming a dense smokescreen that covered the entire sky.
The sky of the Land of Eternal Night was already extremely dark. The current smoke made the surroundings dark and gloomy, as if the apocalypse had come, and the world became completely black, leaving only the flames dancing in the darkness, glowing with sinister red light as if sacrificing to some evil presence.
The sharp scraping sound in the distance grew closer. York, completely wrapped in the Thorny Pain Lock, gradually appeared. Bologue wasn’t sure if York possessed consciousness at this moment, but assuming he did, his remaining thoughts should be asking Bologue to help him end the pain.
The Heartless regrouped. Death Metal and Silver certainly caused them trouble, but thanks to the Blood of the Night Race, this level of damage was completely within their endurance range.
Seeing this scene, Bologue suddenly laughed, "Is this considered the second Dawn War?"
"Ah?"
Olivia hadn’t expected Bologue to say such a thing. She was completely at a loss for how to respond, and shortly thereafter, Bologue said something even more unexpected.
"Serey was the traitor in the first Dawn War, and now it’s your turn— is this a family tradition?"
Olivia was speechless at Bologue’s tease. It took a while for her to speak, "Are you being serious?"
"You’ll get used to it."
Aimou, rare as it was, spoke up, "When he’s nervous, he likes to say strange things to lighten the atmosphere."
Olivia had no idea what to say.
The strange talk ended, Bologue straightened his body, facing the swarming enemies with calm eyes, raising his Sword Axe. Bologue didn’t think this would be his end; these enemies absolutely wouldn’t hinder him at all.
"Ha... ah!"
Bologue breathed, puffed up his chest, and roared furiously. Along with him was the roar of thousands of winds.
The raging winds lifted the sea of fire and black smoke, the divided storm inserted within the airflow, burning tornadoes rapidly forming in the Butcher’s Pit, indiscriminately swallowing the Heartless and York.
The scorching breath was replaced by icy airflow. Then, a figure sprang from afar, with a large arc landing precisely beside Bologue.
Seeing the suddenly appearing Palmer, Bologue murmured, "Honestly, I almost forgot about you."
"Forgot? Forgot what?"
Palmer didn’t understand Bologue’s words.
Thunderous gunfire interrupted their conversation, Hinda somehow climbed to a vantage point. She raised a long rifle made of assembled parts, and an alchemically specialized warhead was fired, penetrating a Heartless’ skull after a short flight.
The smooth, pale skull instantly burst into a dispersed blood mist, and the mellow Thunder sound struck again. The Heartless’ body abruptly developed several dimples, which quickly expanded until they had completely twisted the Immortal Armor and its torso, bursting into shocking large holes, obliterating most of the Heartless’ body.
Several shots later, delayed explosions followed. The Heartless she hit completely shattered into a mass of foul blood. Even if it could regenerate, it would take an extremely long time, especially since Hinda’s targets were Heartless in the Negative Power User tier. In the same tier, even with the Immortal Armor, their power wasn’t much different from Hinda’s.
"Take me away!"
Hinda stood up and shouted to the sky.
A few seconds later, a loud eagle cry sounded. The giant eagle that had previously infiltrated the sky swept down, spreading its wings as if to completely embrace Hinda. Its claws firmly grasped the wrist guards on Hinda’s arms.
Hinda rose into the air, effortlessly soaring over the sea of fire. Then, the lethal sonic wave engulfed the vantage point she had just occupied, turning everything to dust.
Missing a hit, Carol looked up, closely watching Hinda’s trajectory shift, preparing to roar again; the passionate slash accompanied by the whirlwind penetrated the sea of fire.
"What are you looking at!"
Bologue growled, viciously chopping the Sword Axe onto the Immortal Armor, cracking several fissures.
If they could destroy Carol’s Immortal Armor, disempower this Seeker of Glory, then Bologue and the others would still have their chance at victory.
In an instant, Bologue went wild, his offensive enveloped by a wild whirlwind. The Sword Axe wove through with fierce bolts of lightning, the clanging iron sounded continuously, like the rhythm of a Blacksmith repeatedly hammering a sword embryo, surging like waves towards Carol.
