Aimou senses something is wrong with Bologue, despite his apparent health. Bologue inspects his Vengeful Saw Axe, now covered in seals and emanating a malevolent aura, which he seals in a box. He and Aimou then depart for the Curved Path Courtyard to meet their team, including Holt and Palmer, for an upcoming action, though the Deputy Director is absent due to recuperation.

Bologue answered, ever since he last saw Nesanel at the Undying Club, Bologue hadn’t seen him again.

Bologue then asked Palmer, "How does it feel to be home?"

"No feeling at all," Palmer searched around, "I just don’t understand, since we’re raiding the Land of Eternal Night, what’s the purpose of going to Wind Source Highlands... do you know the exact location of the Land of Eternal Night?"

Palmer’s question stumped Bologue, he shook his head, "No idea, the files deliberately obscured the exact location of the Land of Eternal Night."

"But since our first destination is Wind Source Highlands, your father, Fuen, probably knows something... what are you looking for?"

Bologue found that Palmer wasn’t listening to him at all, but was searching for someone in the crowd.

"Olivia, have you seen her?"

Bologue was stunned for a moment, only then did he realize that it had also been a while since he last saw Olivia, and she was not part of this mission.

"Sorry, we’re late."

Another voice interjected into the conversation, Bologue looked in the direction of the voice, and an unfamiliar face appeared.

"Hinda?"

Bologue recalled her name.

"That’s right, it’s me."

Hinda smiled at Bologue, then stepped aside, revealing her team members behind her. The number of participants in the Fifth Group was not many, just like Bologue’s Special Operations Group; compared to Holt’s Fourth Group, they were just a handful, but they had several carts, with fierce hunting dogs and falcons in iron cages clenching low.

"Let’s get to know each other later, we should go now."

Holt raised his voice from the front, looking at the dense mass of people, he couldn’t help but marvel at the number of participants in this mission, which would only increase once they reached the Wind Source Highlands.

It’s like war, evolving from a local skirmish into a full-blown conflict.

Everyone glanced at each other, nodding in affirmation. After confirming everything, Holt turned and walked into the Curved Path Gate, his team members followed behind, then the few from the Fifth Group followed, comforting their animal partners as they labored to push the carts, guiding them one by one into the Curved Path Gate.

"The Fifth Group can track the blood scent of the Night Race," Church, who had been silent, explained at this time, "They can be a big help."

Bologue nodded, noticing the heavy black box Church held in his hand. Bologue could guess what was hidden in the box.

Without further delay, Bologue led the remaining people, striding into the Curved Path Gate, and after a round of stomach-churning nausea, they exited the route, planting their feet onto the hard, moist ground.

A strong cold wind hit them, accompanied by drizzling raindrops splattering their faces. Bologue blinked hard, trying to get a clear view of the surrounding environment, but before his vision fully returned, he first heard the hoarse, shrill mourning cries of a flock of birds.

Opening his eyes, the clear sky was gone, replaced by dense clouds; amidst flashes of lightning and thunder, countless Wind-Eroded Birds circled high above, on the far coast, a large number of Bloodthirsty ones charged toward the Fortress of the Morning Wind, with the scarlet eyes of the Night Race flickering among them.

Bologue stood frozen on the spot, the familiar yet strange scene abruptly reminded him of the moment when he first came to the Wind Source Highlands.

He grabbed the bewildered Palmer, shouting, "Is this the welcoming ritual of Wind Source Highlands?"

"How would I know!"

Palmer screamed, looking at the burning Fortress of the Morning Wind.
