Bologue breaks through a massive gate, creating a labyrinth to slow pursuers. Inside, the trio encounters an overwhelming scent of blood and thousands of unseen presences. As they venture deeper, they are ambushed by the Night Race, but Olivia's shadow abilities and Palmer's quick reflexes allow them to fight back.

His rushing action came to a halt, his eyes filled with disbelief, as shadows constantly shifted and transformed into a pitch-black hand, twisting his throat, breaking his spine, punching into his body like a heavy fist, compressing his organs into a pulp, then forcefully opening and squeezing them.

In an instant, the Night Race’s body was torn apart and shredded, exploding into a continually spreading blood mist like a blossoming flower, lingering in the air.

The powerful killing energy left everyone stunned in their tracks, even Bologue, ready to raise his sword for a fierce slash, hesitated for a moment, surprisedly observing Olivia.

Previously, Olivia’s displayed strength was mostly in hiding and stealth; this was the first time they directly witnessed Olivia’s active attack, and once she revealed her fangs, she was extraordinarily fierce.

Olivia preempted Bologue and Palmer, neither hiding her anger nor holding back its release.

"You inferior creatures!"

Olivia cursed, and the surrounding shadows came alive, like dead branches stirred by the wind, the thorn-covered twigs danced wildly, savagely whipping towards the nearest Night Race, mercilessly lashing their flesh into shreds before their Secret Energy could activate.

A sweet and visceral blood scent permeated the air, seemingly nourished by the blood, Olivia’s pupils became increasingly scarlet, emitting a striking radiant red glow.

The radiance was so brilliant, mesmerizing, like a heavy hammer, striking at the hearts of every Night Race.

They did not know Olivia, but could feel the pressure emanating from deep within their bloodlines, and despite not sharing the same lineage, the purity of blood still delivered a substantial shock.

The corporeal agony gradually subsided, replaced by confusion emerging from the depths of their minds.

Why?

Why would there be a Pure-blood Night Race here, and clearly standing against them?

The Night Race did not understand, but immediately afterward, they remembered the direct order from the Regent King within the Rebellious Royal Court... Rather, a bounty.

"It’s you!"

A Night Race exclaimed, both terrified and ecstatic, loudly calling out that name.

"Olivia! The escaping Olivia!"

Upon hearing this name, the other Night Race reacted, realizing the identity of this Pure-blood Night Race, and after a fleeting shock and fear, a strong greed and fever filled their hearts.

The Night Race recalled the Regent King’s promise: anyone who captures Olivia would receive a second Blood Donation, elevated to Pure-blood status, an accolade enough to drive every Night Race mad within their rigid system.

Seconds later, the Shadow Blade, like a serpent, utterly eradicated the joy within the Night Race’s hearts.

The Defender’s Ether strength surged from within Olivia, not only was her bloodline noble, but she also possessed the power to govern her destiny, like a scepter wielded with a sword.

Bologue silently lowered his sword tip, realizing this battle was not one he could intervene in; it was purely Olivia’s wrath, her act of redemption for past errors.

After losing the support of the Eternal Night Empire, Olivia lived a desolate life, continuously pursued by the Regent King; during those dim, lengthy times, Olivia narrowly ascended to Defender, as for Seeker of Glory, that was a Tier she could hardly reach.

Not to mention the vast resources necessary for the Ascension Ceremony, even a stable site for advancement was already limiting Olivia, not to mention as a Night Race, her inherently fractured soul, significantly reducing her success rate.

Fortunately, for the present vengeance, the power of the Defender was sufficient.

Several Night Races were severed and minced, yet relying on their formidable Life Force, they did not die instantly, but fell into pools of blood, emitting a series of shrill cries.

A few Night Races came to their senses, realizing they were utterly outmatched against Olivia, turned and fled into the depths of darkness, but in this realm of absolute darkness, Olivia held the supreme advantage.

Olivia dissipated into black smoke, the next moment she reformed behind a Night Race, the dagger in her hand mercilessly slicing open his throat, stifling the wails within the fractured trachea, leaving only deep breaths echoing.

Blood gushed out like a spring, incessantly flowing, defying gravity to converge towards Olivia’s dagger.

The cold metal seemed to become alive, bearing an animate existence, greedily sucking the blood from its blade, swallowing it whole.

At the same time, the cut from the dagger rapidly withered, the skin shrank, flesh receded, cyan blood vessels surfaced, and blood surged rapidly.

The dagger like a straw, it continued to draw the Night Race’s blood, their fresh, juicy bodies turned into hollow shells in mere seconds, transforming the throat-cut Night Race into a hunched corpse, kneeling weakly on the ground.

Olivia was uncertain whether he had died, but even if he hadn’t died on the spot, with such significant blood loss, he wouldn’t be able to survive much longer.
