Bologue and his group ventured into the Supreme Hub, a vast underground complex. They learned it was divided into three sections: the foundation area, the Land of Secrets' Ethereal Furnace, and the Ancestral Council's location above. As they neared the centralized factory, an alarm sounded, and an emergency curfew was imposed, turning the area into a dead city. They detected pursuers closing in, forcing Bologue to send Yannis, Yolanda, and Olivia ahead while he and Palmer prepared to confront the incoming threat.

As long as one stays sufficiently focused, no disturbances in the airflow escape Palmer’s awareness.

"Facing the enemy? Of course," Bologue nodded vigorously, raised his Wraith Bite, and pointed toward the darkness behind him, "We are the Imperial Envoy, they are the traitors who should be fleeing."

As soon as he finished speaking, the rapidly approaching enemies also noticed the presence of Bologue and Palmer. Several flares shot into the sky, resembling rapidly rising morning stars, passing right in front of Bologue and Palmer’s eyes.

The dazzling light briefly lit up the darkness and also illuminated the aerial corridor, revealing two slender figures.

"We’ve found them!"

The enemies communicated excitedly.

In an instant, several brilliant auroras penetrated from the ground. They sliced through the darkness of the underground world, fully enveloping the pursuers, forcibly elevating their Ether reactions by a level.

Seeker of Glory, Defender...

The terrifying Ether reaction was close at hand, like a storm approaching. Within the rapidly flowing air current was a cold chill and sharp, knife-like pain.

"Don’t be nervous, partner. They’ve only obtained false power; their original Secret Energy quality is still at its initial stage."

Bologue appeared calm, showing no sign of nervousness.

Palmer seemed a bit numb, nodding stiffly. After some time adapting, he had gotten used to such twists. He wouldn’t even be surprised if a Devil or Calamity suddenly appeared.

At most, he pondered inwardly, if the All Secrets Order really collapsed, could the Clarks cut some pieces off them? Everyone had been dissatisfied with those arrogant guys for a long time.

Before the enemy could get closer, suddenly several beams of light shone on the two of them. Bologue initially thought the All Secrets Order, like the Regent King, was advocating for a fair duel, also wanting to enhance themselves with a layer of Aurora Power.

But in reality, it was just the searchlights on the dark Dome shifting direction to illuminate the underground world, falling on Bologue, constantly reminding others of Bologue’s position.

"Wow, it’s really not bad at all."

Bologue squinted his eyes; the light was so intense that he couldn’t open them.

"What are you sighing about?"

The enemy was already close, and Palmer began to channel Secret Energy, with a barely perceptible breeze swirling between the two.

"Don’t you think this is like a stage play? We are the main characters illuminated by the lights," Bologue said.

"It does...it does resemble that a bit," Palmer agreed, then added, "But if possible, I wish I were an audience member sitting below the stage."

"No chance of that; we’re already standing on the stage."

As Bologue spoke, he swung his Wraith Bite, striking nothing, but using the Power of Command guided through the Wraith Bite, he struck the aerial corridor underfoot.

The heavy and massive steel emitted a terrifying wail; Ether seeped into the metal, twisting and deforming it. The aerial corridor beneath their feet twisted like a Giant Iron Python, shaking off large pieces of metal fragments and dust, breaking the connected metal. Soon, more corridors around began to collapse, entangling toward the main structure.

Pieces of heavy metal fell, crashing into the darkness below, with the impact sound arriving late, like a few thunderclaps echoing from afar.

First to arrive before Bologue was a Seeker of Glory, but this supreme power was actually bestowed through the Aurora Path; in essence, he was still a Defender.

Layers of scale armor covered his body, tearing and shredding the original garments. Bologue initially thought it would head toward beast-like transformation, but soon the overlapping scale armor completely enveloped his body, even hiding the head beneath an abnormal helmet.

The body ascension school? Armoring one’s body?

Bologue wondered, decisively controlling the Giant Iron Python underfoot to directly smash towards the seeker of glory.

The movement of the Iron Python stirred the surrounding matters, like drawing a fine line from a spider silk on the web. With the Iron Python’s rapid advance, more aerial corridors were peeled off, with chains and steel cables intertwining and dancing wildly.

The web-like corridors above the underground world were largely destroyed by Bologue in an instant; all metals transformed into Bologue’s soldiers, charging collectively.

"Leave the rest to you!"

Bologue shouted, kicking Palmer off the snake’s head.

No matter how much trust he had in Palmer, Bologue didn’t believe Palmer could bridge such a huge gap to confront the seeker of glory. Furthermore, Bologue alone was enough; Palmer beside him would instead affect his wild assault.

Palmer cursed, but Bologue didn’t hear clearly, as the words were quickly extinguished by the rising howl of the wind.

A swirling cold air enveloped Bologue; even so, before separating, Palmer still wrapped Bologue in a layer of Wind Walk.

Moved, Bologue watched Palmer’s falling figure held by the whirlwind. In the next moment, masses of Ether accumulated, guiding the disturbance of the airflow; the gathered cyclones were like a drawn bowstring, all concentrated behind him.

Palmer calmly raised his Rapier, the sharp sword tip pointing at a formidable enemy beyond the seeker of glory.

Defender.

Palmer knew that the opponent wasn’t truly a Defender, but rather forcibly enhanced by a Negative Power User through Aurora Power, meaning that theoretically, he and the opponent were evenly matched.

No...no, no no!

He couldn’t waste precious luck on something like this.

Thinking thus, Palmer shifted the sword tip, directing towards another Negative Power User, who, according to Aurora Power’s calculation, was actually just a Prayer Believer.

He mustn’t mimic Bologue; that guy could be as unstoppable as a war god, all thanks to being an Undead, making each of his battles into a life-or-death showdown.

As for himself? He inherently had bad luck, with only one fragile life to count on, demanding precision and calculation.

Palmer always believed in the principle of luck conservation; now he added a law of momentum conservation—if someone in the team was as fierce as a war god, then surely someone had to sneak around like a thief.

While pondering this, in an instant, Palmer shot forth rapidly; the stockpiled cyclone erupted collectively, launching his body like a cannonball, the air blocking his path redirected by the airflow, temporarily forming a vacuum area.

Conical clouds unfolded like skirts behind Palmer.

Secret Energy·Wind’s Breath.

The sharp sword tip reflected a flash of Thunder, breaking the sound barrier’s explosive noise that shook everyone’s eardrums indistinguishably, like a giant’s roar.

Palmer’s speed was so intense that it was almost at a glance that he passed through the enemy crowd. Defender only felt a gust of hurricane sweep by; upon sensing again, Palmer was already behind him.

As for the Negative Power User targeted by Palmer, he only felt a gust of breeze approaching, like a scene missing frames; one second Palmer was still afar, next he disappeared.

Simultaneously, a bloody hole carved in his intact body, a heart fully pierced. But that wasn’t the end, as the following whirlwind, like thousands of sharp swords, drilled into the bloody cavity in his chest, repeatedly cutting, shredding, slashing.

Within seconds, the bloody hole expanded continuously, consuming lungs, spine, internal organs; even the entire torso was pulverized by the vortex-like shredding into a heap of mincemeat and blood mist, with only the remaining limbs and head twisting, spinning, blown apart by the snarling wind, transformed into patches of meat evenly covering the ground.

Palmer surged nearly a hundred meters, slowing himself down gradually. Next, the rumbling wind shattered the tranquility along the path.

When Palmer turned around, the enhanced Aurora Power had already dissipated, the shattered corpse falling into the darkness, disappearing from sight.

Stunned for a few seconds, Palmer realized he seemed quite strong, and just as Bologue mentioned, those bearing Aurora Power didn’t seem that hard to kill.

Thinking so, Palmer pointed his sword at Defender, and the conical clouds’ skirt unfolded once more.
