Bologue engages Yidir, who has transformed into a grotesque, flesh-covered monstrosity wielding devilish power. Bologue unleashes a barrage of steel needles, bombarding Yidir and then triggering an explosive chain reaction. Despite the brutal assault and repeated explosions, Yidir continues to resist, refusing to fall.

Until there came a time when even the heaviest punches could no longer move him.

It was as if attacks against Yidir had developed a resistance; he allowed Bologue’s relentless strikes to fall upon him without the slightest tremor, as flesh proliferated, self-healed, and bone armor re-covered, even becoming more robust.

This time, even with the aggressive assistance of Secret Energy·Commanding Decree, the steel needles still could not penetrate, not even scratch, the bone armor. They merely collided, then were easily deflected.

Bologue felt a tinge of pressure. He tried changing tactics, but from Yidir’s body, a crimson steam quickly erupted, sweeping in all directions like a wave.

Holding his breath, retreating, Bologue immediately avoided the erosion of the blood mist. Just as he was unsure of the blood mist’s effect, he discovered that the roaming swarm of steel needles was gradually losing control.

They vanished from Bologue’s perception, and the next moment, countless giant blood mosquitoes charged out from the blood mist, rushing towards Bologue. On their deformed bodies, Bologue could vaguely see the remnants of metal.

Within the blood mist, Yidir spread his arms freely. He belonged to the Contract School Negative Power User, with the contractual partner being the gluttonous Beelzebub, thereby becoming a Calamity Servant, cultivating a Blood and Flesh Plague capable of inducing an Extraordinary Disaster, using himself as a vessel.

Now, with the empowerment of Beelzebub’s power, Yidir’s secret energy was released without restraint, endlessly transforming surrounding material into flesh, endowing it with grotesque vitality.

The flesh carpet underfoot became a primordial soup nurturing life, a gateway to Hell, from which monsters tirelessly climbed out, howling madly towards Bologue.

Conventional attacks could no longer resolve the issue; the battle returned to what Bologue was best at.

Blades.

Bologue descended the twin spiral ladder, turning it into a narrow gateway, where the sword axe lay in wait, slicing and severing every flesh creature daring to step within.

Soon, the twin spiral ladder was piled with a large heap of corpses, to the point where Bologue had to stand high on the small mountain of corpses, continuing to face the enemy.

Within the blood mist, Yidir was in no hurry to advance further. Besides the power directly granted by Beelzebub, he also possessed Protection·Bloodthirsty Healing.

This ability was engraved into Yidir’s instincts. Even though Bologue’s violent onslaught had torn him apart, as long as he sucked a sip of the intoxicating blood, swallowed a bite of enticing flesh, Yidir could always come back to life, let alone that he was gradually adapting to this power.

Until he mastered it.

In an instant, the ether dissipating in the air was disturbed and drawn in, like a storm poised to erupt, they all collapsed towards the core area, and that core was Yidir.

Yidir devoured the surrounding ether with such ferocity that a temporary ether vacuum area formed around him, and his own ether intensity rapidly escalated, showing faint signs of breakthrough to a Defender.

As for his body, it entered a state of high etherealization, with scarlet ethereal radiance emanating beneath the flesh, growing increasingly intense like wildfire.

"Is he... is he devouring ether?"

Aimou’s exclamation echoed in his mind, and after Bologue cleaved the monster before him with a sword, he too looked towards Yidir with a heavy expression.

Aimou didn’t know what was happening, but Bologue could deduce a sliver of possibility from various signs.

Beelzebub had bestowed upon Yidir her very own power... along with her authority.

The authority of Gluttony.

"Hungry! Hungry! Hungry!"

Weird voices screamed continuously, as the curse’s influence wore away Yidir’s last shred of sanity, leaving him with only the desire to voraciously feast.

Just ahead.

Yidir could sense that there was a never-ending supply of ether awaiting his consumption just ahead, provided he... provided he consumed that meddlesome guy before him.

The blood mist stirred, gusts of wind assaulted, and Yidir vanished from his original position. After a thunderous boom, he appeared before Bologue, the sharp bone blade easily cutting through the armor on Bologue, opening his chest, shattering a string of ribs, and almost snapping Bologue’s spine.

Likewise, Wraithbite pierced through sturdy bone armor, stabbing into Yidir’s heart, and the Vengeful Saw Axe ferociously slashed at his neck, causing his head to slant at a large angle, with only a few strands of muscle barely connecting the trunk and head.

Yidir devoured the surrounding ether while Bologue also activated Protection·Soul Sucking and Essence Stealing, greedily absorbing the ether within Yidir. In this high-concentration ether environment, the two ultimate predators somehow achieved a level of balance.

Proliferating flesh pushed aside the Vengeful Saw Axe, while burgeoning bone grasped Wraithbite firmly, wedging it into the chest. Abnormal tumors grew under Yidir’s armpit, and soon two blood-soaked arms burst forth, with slender spikes, slicing into Bologue’s body.

The sudden offensive severely wounded Bologue, causing his body to lean slightly backward, yet not fall.

The high-concentration ether environment inherently enhanced the Condensers’ combat capabilities, not to mention Bologue’s Undying Body. Along with the continuous absorption of Protection·Soul Sucking and Essence Stealing, Bologue briefly transformed into a literal sense of Undying Body, a Perpetual Motion Machine of slaughter.

A manic, irrational obsession surged within, and Bologue knew the curse of the protection was about to strike, thus warning himself.
