Palmer narrowly dodged Ernan’s accelerated nail attack using his die, making it temporarily unusable. Meanwhile, Bologue fought Morrison’s relentless light attack, forming scale armor to close the distance, but Morrison countered with his Secret Sword and a tracking ability. Bologue sustained injuries but healed rapidly, while Ernan continued his sniper assault. A large flesh creation also loomed nearby, adding to the pressure.

When confronted with adversity, individuals exhibit varied responses. Some succumb to misfortune, accepting their fate, while others exhaust every avenue to surmount the crisis.

Bologue, however, diverges from these archetypes. His initial reflex when faced with a daunting situation is...

To flip the table!

When in doubt, reconfigure the environment. While this approach might seem capricious, its effectiveness is undeniable, particularly within the intricate and hazardous expanse of Fog Abyss Fortress.

Bologue channeled his unique energy, dramatically extending his sphere of influence. Each strand of this ethereal power penetrated the ground like anchors, and Bologue seized the connected chains, demolishing everything in a single, decisive action.

Secret Energy·Commanding Decree.

Instantly, the entire vicinity convulsed. Walls fractured, debris rained down, and the earth ruptured, spewing forth colossal stones and forming abyssal fissures.

Wisps of light-feather energy grazed Bologue, piercing his armor with numerous holes. Simultaneously, Bologue became the vortex's epicenter, absorbing the surrounding structures.

The hall's ceiling gave way, sending massive stones and wooden beams plummeting, shattering with piercing clamor. A cerulean ethereal luminescence emanated from the fissures, coating the fractured masonry like specters.

The land's ruptures crawled towards Ernan's feet. Though imbued with the immense destructive force of Secret Energy·One-Way Arrow, he was otherwise indistinguishable from a devout worshiper.

Billowing smoke and falling debris concealed Bologue's form. The unstable terrain made precise targeting an impossibility for Ernan, who could only leap across the collapsing chasms to evade entombment by the ruins.

Countless cries erupted as soldiers and condensers, unable to evade the falling debris, were crushed into the lower levels, their fates uncertain.

As the ground warped, the colossal organic entity began to topple, slamming into the adjacent wall and amplifying the ongoing devastation.

Morrison's bellow reverberated; he recognized Bologue - the man who had nearly annihilated Fog Abyss Fortress. His presence here once more signalled an intent to raze the entire complex.

The seismic tremors intensified relentlessly. A vast section of the wall succumbed, merging with large stones and tiles, transforming into a chaotic tangle of wreckage. Heavy beams and rocks rained down throughout the fortress, engulfing the entire structure.

Amidst this destructive tempest, Morrison could no longer attend to Ernan. His own survival demanded he rely on the lift generated by Light Feather, weaving through the debris at high speed to intercept Bologue.

Morrison was resolute: the destruction must cease. Light Feather flared anew, guided by the Chasing Sword, converging into a blinding torrent aimed directly at Bologue's position.

Abruptly, a resonant rumble emanated from above, suggesting a massive descent. In the ensuing moment, a sharp spire erupted through successive layers of earth, crashing down with cataclysmic force, intercepting the Light Feather torrent targeting Bologue.

Brilliant light flared before Bologue's vision, causing him to squint reflexively. Concurrently, a sensation of depletion washed over him. The extensive application of his abilities had significantly drained his ether reserves, especially considering the area was already permeated by a layer of Void Realm.

Despite its tenuous nature, this Void Realm offered resistance, escalating the difficulty of Bologue's destructive endeavor.

"A minor inconvenience."

Bologue mused, anticipating Morrison's imminent arrival. His defensive technique, Protection·Soul Sucking and Essence Stealing, was pre-activated. Morrison would serve as his sustenance for another round of even more ferocious combat.

The spire transformed into fragments, and intense, dazzling light streamed from the fissures, reminiscent of an approaching stellar body.

Bologue's command had grievously compromised the fortress's integrity. Stone columns, thick as tree trunks, toppled; massive slabs splintered into ribbons, and an array of jagged debris carpeted the wreckage.

Within the maelstrom, Ernan desperately sought escape, but the all-encompassing destruction left him little recourse. He soon understood that evasion was futile; his only option was to ascend continuously, avoiding submersion by the collapsing earth.

Ernan scooped up a handful of rubble, activating the power of One-Way Arrow. Amidst a thunderous detonation, the debris propelled several meters before dissipating entirely. However, the formidable kinetic force it harbored effortlessly obliterated the colossal stone obstructing his path.

His chest heaved with exertion. Ernan registered the depletion of his ether. While potent, the power of One-Way Arrow was not without its considerable limitations, chief among them being its staggering ether consumption.

For instance, Ernan's capacity for utilizing this ability was directly tied to his ether reserves. Depleting his supply of sharp projectiles would likely leave his ether nearly exhausted.

"Truly unfortunate!"

Ernan grumbled amidst the chaos. In past skirmishes, his razor-sharp claws had proven devastatingly effective. However, with Bologue now tilting the very ground, Ernan found himself unable to muster the focus needed to eliminate him. Furthermore, Bologue didn't even need to engage directly; a stray boulder, for instance, could easily crush Ernan at any moment.

"An act of utter madness," Ernan mused inwardly, assessing Bologue’s reckless maneuver. While such a desperate gambit might shatter the stalemate, it undeniably exposed his allies to peril. It was entirely possible that Palmer had already met a crushing end.
