Endless Debt Chapter 1056 - 105: A Proper Time (2)
In the Eye of the Chronicler, through Church’s perspective, Bologue had seen Morrison’s Secret Energy, but Church was simply terrible at direct combat, unable to force Morrison to reveal much of his abilities, like this deadly intense light, for instance.
Morrison raised his hand, the sharp wings behind him protruding like freshly forged blades, capable of easily tearing through steel and flesh. The radiance erupted, feathers burning in a blaze, transforming them into beams of light that descended upon Bologue under Morrison’s control.
From meeting to battle, it took no more than two minutes, and in this brief time, the already dilapidated chamber almost completely turned to ruins. A massive flesh machine, exuding heat, toppled to one side, its thick limbs extending from the flesh, swinging aimlessly as if unconsciously seeking prey.
Bologue couldn’t understand what it was, and more importantly, than this thing, solving Morrison first was crucial.
Also being a Negative Power User, Jessey fell to Bologue, largely due to Bologue exploiting his humanity, using his companion’s corpse to form a Blood Blade that restrained Jessey. Otherwise, capturing him at high speed in werewolf mode was indeed difficult for Bologue.
Now Bologue faced a similar predicament, temporarily unable to devise a way to approach Morrison, while Morrison launched a counterattack, and the torrential rain of light was close at hand.
Just as Bologue was about to raise a wall of earth to attempt to block the energy-like feathers, a howling gust echoed, and Storm Feather rapidly split, quickly transforming into an iron torrent that collided with the rain of Light Feather from the side.
Metal and Light Feather clashed, generating a dazzling arc of light. When Bologue glanced toward Palmer, Morrison noticed him too and vibrated his wings again. This time, he didn’t cast the wings but raised the Secret Sword, charging at high speed toward Palmer.
After a brief surge of anger, Palmer regained composure. While Bologue restrained Morrison, Palmer initiated attacks on the remaining Shield Guards.
Instantaneous brilliance deprived him and Bologue of sight, but unlike Bologue, Palmer could accurately distinguish the enemies’ breathing, thus determining their positions.
Though blurred, this helped Palmer successfully kill one Shield Guard of the Condenser Tier.
At this moment, Morrison flew swiftly toward Palmer, the tip of the Secret Sword gleaming dangerously.
Every Field Staff understood that any blade named Secret Sword carried mysterious and unfathomable power.
Morrison’s speed was too fast for Palmer to dodge, but just as they were about to collide, a hand axe wrapped in chains swung up suddenly, smashing between the two.
The chains tightened, and Bologue crashed toward Morrison, who also turned his head, vibrating his wings.
Morrison manipulated the Light Feathers he had released, in high speed, they stretched into bundles of straight beams, sharp like fast arrows, carrying blazing Ether. In an instant, the storm of Light Feather spread over the battlefield, reflecting bit by bit from Bologue’s eyes.
Those scattered beams of light resembled startling lightning, rapidly cutting through the battlefield, and Morrison could imagine the ensuing scene.
The beams would sweep across the battlefield, shortening the distance with Bologue. Each beam carried Morrison’s powerful will, eventually engulfing him in a storm of blades and swords, shredding him into countless pieces, blood splattering.
Morrison roared low, the beams crazily maneuvering across the battlefield, as if guided by invisible hands.
Bologue decisively abandoned evasion, the Deceitful Snake Scale Liquid forged into Iron Armor, but it was soon ruthlessly penetrated by the Light Feather, his body grazed, bleeding that solidified in mid-air, quickly contracting into crimson armor attached to Bologue’s surface.
All this transpired within seconds. When Bologue reached Morrison, he was already bloodied, while Morrison held the Secret Sword high in one hand, calling upon the Light Feather with the other.
Like a merciless killing weapon, the beams continued to weave and hop through the air, leaving trails of stunning, beautiful radiance, slicing into Bologue’s flesh, attempting to pierce him, only to be blocked by unyielding blood.
In the heart-stopping scene, Palmer also rose to counterattack, but another Ether reaction surfaced, hindering his movements.
Palmer’s vision included a slender, burning line of fire, closely resembling Morrison’s Light Feather, easily mistaken for it, but differed in that Morrison’s Light Feather was an almost energy-like entity, flying silently. That’s why Bologue heard no sound of the Light Feather’s speed when blinded.
But this slender fire line was different; as Palmer saw it, it brushed past his shoulder, a moment later, pain followed belatedly, accompanied by the sharp sonic boom generated by the object rapidly slicing through the air.
The sonic boom ripples erupted along the visual remnant of the fire line, Palmer couldn’t clearly see what it was, but he could feel it was like a sharp long knife, directly slicing off a large chunk of flesh from Palmer’s shoulder.
The fire line in mid-air gradually extinguished, following the direction of the line, Palmer saw the man standing in the shadows, with several narrow Sharp Nails hanging at his waist.
