Endless Debt Chapter 1033 - 97: Preparations for Battle (4)

The chest armor of the Silver Knight closed, and the hoarse voice of the Third Seat became muffled again, then more footsteps sounded as one Silver Knight after another emerged from the shadows.

There was not only a legion of Silent Ones here.

...

"Oath City, Opus, my god, I can hardly remember when was the last time I came here."

Red Dog stuck his head out of the car window, looking around like a stranger visiting for the first time, his excitement unabashed in his expression.

"It was when the secret war ended, and you, nearly unconscious, were carried out by us."

In the spacious and comfortable business car, the voice of the Fourth Seat arose beside him, belonging to a dark-skinned, muscular man, whose whole body exuded rock-like strength.

"Oh? Is that so?" Red Dog replied nonchalantly, "I was unconscious, no wonder I don’t remember much."

Pulling his head back in, Red Dog leaned against the seatback, as the driver maneuvered the car into traffic, heading in the direction of the Great Rift.

"Sigh, thinking of it this way, it’s rather humiliating, being driven out of such a fine place."

Red Dog sighed helplessly, then suggested, "If we launched an attack now, do you think we could conquer this city?"

"Just you and me? And those guys who aren’t even Defenders?" The Fourth Seat felt some disdain for Red Dog, but he still analyzed seriously, "We would cause some damage to the city, a lot of civilians and Order Bureau field staff would die, but it wouldn’t shake their foundation, it would just be a futile death."

"Ah... a futile death? It can’t be said so absolutely, how do you know without trying?"

Red Dog’s tone suddenly shifted, a wicked grin on his face, his words laden with provocation, "Just like I never thought I would almost be slaughtered by a Negative Power User."

He leaned forward, as if deliberately trying to provoke his companion’s anger, staring at that calm face.

"Don’t you agree, Lebius?"

Lebius sat facing Red Dog, his face calm, as if he hadn’t heard Red Dog’s words. Seeing Lebius’s boring reaction, Red Dog shook his head in disappointment, then looked at the person sitting beside Lebius.

"What do you think, Geoffrey?"

Unlike the composed Lebius, Geoffrey’s eyes were filled with anger. If it weren’t for his duties restraining him, he might already have swung that heavy Bone-breaking Knife.

"Ah, it’s truly a fateful coincidence, gentlemen."

Red Dog spread his arms as if to embrace the two of them.

"Back then, it was you two who sent me away from this city, and now you two personally welcome me back."

Red Dog mocked, "The Order Bureau is really considerate."

Lebius raised his hand to press down on Geoffrey’s shoulder, his gaze indifferent as if looking at a corpse, "If you’re here to start a fight, then draw your sword; if here to negotiate, then shut up, Red Dog."

"Okay, okay, as you say, Lebius."

Red Dog reached out to pat Lebius on the knee, feigning remorse, "After all, up until now, I’m still deeply sorry for breaking your leg."

Lebius replied calmly, "You will pay the price, along with all of Second Group’s hatred."

Red Dog retorted arrogantly, "I know, I know, many have told me similar things before, but that day has never come."

"That day will come," Geoffrey struggled to contain his anger, "just as a sinner’s judgment is inescapable."

Red Dog propped up his foot, turning to gaze at the thick mist erupting from the Great Rift.

"Then I guess it’s not today."

The rolling thick mist gathered above Oath City, Opus, the clouds became heavy, and the sky turned gloomy, as if gathering for a storm.
