After an encounter with Zhang Zihan, Wang Ming and his companions were summoned by King Wu Junhao. The Tang sisters, Tang Ning and Tang Nian, were also present, seeking Wang Ming's help. They explained that their father, the Tang Family Patriarch, was ill, and due to Wang Ming's renowned alchemy skills and apparent immunity to poison, they requested his assistance. Wang Ming agreed, and they, along with Wu Jing and Min Li, traveled to the opulent Tang Family estate.

Though the other family members possessed numerous eyes within the imperial palace, word of the Tang Sisters escorting them into the Patriarch's castle would undoubtedly spread before long. However, Issei and Wang Ming remained oblivious to this, and even if they were aware, the power struggles held no interest for them.

Wang Ming’s sole purpose in accompanying Tang Ning and Tang Nian was to offer assistance, having forged a friendship with them – nothing more, nothing less. At least, for the present moment.

The castle was immense. As Tang Ning led the way, she pointed out the significant structures within its grounds to Wang Ming. Unbeknownst to them, they had arrived before a grand and imposing set of doors.

"This is my father's chamber," Tang Ning stated, a hint of nervousness in her tone. She worried whether Wang Ming could accurately diagnose her father's ailment.

Wang Ming gave a nod, and they stepped inside. The room was typical of any luxurious chamber, exuding an aura of opulence.

Upon seeing an elderly man lying still on the bed, resembling a corpse, Wang Ming couldn't help but frown. He detected an anomaly surrounding the man, as well as within another elderly individual who appeared to be the physician.

Two young attendants stood behind the healer. Despite their roles as mere attendants, an undeniable arrogance flickered in their eyes, conspicuously present even within the confines of the imperial palace.

The moment the two attendants laid eyes on Min Li and Wu Jing, a lecherous glint appeared in their eyes. However, a shiver ran through their bodies as they felt the chilling gaze of the woman upon them. They quickly averted their eyes, recognizing the identities of the girls and understanding the folly of provoking them. This was especially true after they felt a terrifying pressure emanating from the man beside them.

Their terror escalated when they noticed that neither their master nor the young ladies seemed to perceive anything amiss. Sweat beaded on their brows, their legs trembled, yet they dared not utter a sound.

The sight of the healer caused Tang Ning's steps to falter. She hastened forward to greet him, inquiring respectfully, "Master Fang, you have arrived. What is my father's condition?"

"Ah, it is Young Lady Tang Ning and Tang Nian," the elderly man replied, offering a slight bow with a chuckle and a remarkably warm demeanor.

"I received the summons this morning and came to examine him. The night air was rather cold yesterday, causing the Lord some discomfort from the chill; however, that is no longer an issue. As for finding a complete cure... alas, please forgive my inadequacy. I have yet to discover a method to resolve it."

"Master Fang, please do not speak in such a manner. My father's vital meridians were already damaged beyond repair, and no cure exists in this world. Had my father not been under Master Fang's diligent care these past months, I fear... In short, Master Fang, you must not blame yourself. I am once again deeply grateful for Healer Fang's dedication," Tang Ning expressed with sincere appreciation.

"When Young Lady Tang puts it that way, it truly is excessive praise for this humble one. Your Highness, please rest assured, this old man shall exert his utmost effort to safeguard the Patriarch's well-being... The Patriarch is preparing for rest now, so if Young Lady wishes to see him, please enter quickly. I shall take my leave now."

"Farewell, Master Fang."

The elderly man, carrying a medicine chest, ambled away with his visibly terrified attendants. As he passed Wu Jing and Min Li, recognition dawned on his face. He offered a courteous nod in their direction, maintaining the same amiable smile.

Wang Ming followed his departure with his gaze, a clear suspicion evident in his eyes towards the man.

"Who was that?" Wang Ming inquired of Tang Ning.

Only when the elderly man was quite distant did she turn her attention back to Wang Ming. She explained, "He is Healer Fang, the foremost healer and alchemist in the city. All the prominent families, and even the royal family, occasionally seek his services."

Upon hearing this, Wang Ming glanced at Wu Jing, raising an eyebrow, and she affirmed with a nod.

"For the past few months, my father’s illness has been under his treatment. It is solely thanks to Master Fang that my father has been able to cling to life until this moment," Tang Ning conveyed.

She had already provided Wang Ming with a brief overview of Healer Fang.

"...I offer you a piece of advice. Be cautious of him... You are free to disregard my words if you wish," Wang Ming stated calmly.

Tang Ning's brow furrowed slightly at his words, feeling a touch of offense given her profound gratitude towards Master Fang.

"...Master Fang is already one hundred and sixty years old this year. Bearing the title 'Saint of Healing,' his medical expertise is unparalleled within the Kingdom, and he is also a remarkably skilled Alchemist. He is universally acknowledged as the preeminent genius healing Alchemist."

An immeasurable number of individuals owe their very lives to him, are indebted to his benevolence, and find themselves owing him favors. Consequently, no one would ever dare to cross Healer Fang. Should such a transgression occur, countless others would readily step forward to champion Master Fang, a sentiment echoed by the major Sects as well," Tang Ning began, relaying Master Fang’s renown to Wang Ming, assuming he might be ignorant of the healer's standing. "..." Wang Ming offered no verbal response. Whether she chose to believe her words was her prerogative; he wouldn't insist. He couldn't fault her skepticism, given her extensive history with Healer Fang compared to her nascent acquaintance with himself. Naturally, she wouldn't readily accept his counsel. "It would be prudent for you to heed his counsel," Wu Jing advised Tang Ning. Even Tang Nian found himself aligning with Wang Ming's perspective. "Hmm." As Wang Ming moved towards the Patriarch, a potent venom coursed through his being.
