Yohan Lin annihilates a rebel branch family, leaving only women and children. He is frustrated that the leaders who orchestrated the revolt, along with his father and grandfather, have disappeared. Elaine warns him that his ruthless actions could make him the "nemesis of humanity" and attract the ire of the powerful imperial family, but Yohan is determined to grow stronger and find the missing individuals to complete a system quest.

After destroying the six branch families, uprooting their very existence from this world, Yohan and Elaine headed in the direction of the Feng clan borders. Surprisingly, the seventh branch family was situated nearby Feng clan territory,Yohan also excited to meet diya and others as they were still inside the border of the feng clan looking for Xiao Feng’s mother, yohan was planning to go look for them after his coronation ceremony but things took different turns when Alena got insulted by those elders and yohan somewhat ended up learning the wicked scheme orchestrated by the grand elders and the seven branch families.

Both the Feng clan and the Lin clan had been at peace for centuries due to a pact formed by their predecessors; Feng Yun and Su Lin had also remained on friendly terms over the decades, maintaining a long-standing relationship between them. Unlike the Lin clan, who owned a massive territory, the Feng clan was relatively small, consisting of fewer lands. The seventh branch family worked as a bridge between these two clans.

Yohan had his own suspicions regarding the current situation of the Feng clan. ’What if those bastards were also involved in the destruction of the Lin clan? After all, the Nichole clan could not pull off such a grand scheme of destroying the Lin clan without getting much-needed help from the outside. What if the seventh branch family played a crucial role in the destruction of the allied clan?’

All kinds of thoughts were crossing Yohan’s head. He came to the realization that those seven branch families had been working behind the scenes for ages, their only goal being to weaken the main family so they could take over. Yohan could only sigh, wondering why his grandpa remained silent all those years despite knowing everything. Why did he not take any action? He knew Su Lin was no pushover.

"You seem to be bothered about something..." Seeing Yohan in deep thought, Elaine whispered, pulling him from his own world. Yohan tilted his head and looked in the direction of Elaine, who was flying by his side. He simply shook his head while wearing a forced smile on his face.

"It’s nothing... just wondering how messed up this world is!" Yohan stated, taking Elaine by surprise with his words, but nevertheless, she gave a faint smile.

"Well, you are still young, and there are so many things you have to learn," Elaine whispered, looking in Yohan’s direction with those gentle eyes. Yohan felt goosebumps all over his body seeing that look on her face.

"Don’t treat me like a child," he frowned. Elaine could only chuckle hearing his nagging over her small gesture when she treated him like a kid, but nevertheless, she was not wrong. Elaine had lived for over a century, and Yohan was still young, barely reaching twenty years. As compared to her, he had lived a small portion of his life and didn’t have much experience with the outside world.

"I didn’t mean to offend you, but don’t you think you are moving at a frighteningly fast pace? With your cultivation base, you could live thousands of years. Why are you in such a hurry? Unlike other cultivators, who are driven by the sole desire to become stronger, you are behaving differently, running after a completely different goal. What do you want to achieve?" Elaine asked, looking in Yohan’s direction. Unlike other cultivators, he was completely different. This young man was driven by a desire to conquer everything and anything in his path; it was indeed unsettling for Elaine to see a cultivator operating on a completely different level.

Elaine had lived a very long time, and she understood the basic nature of cultivators. Those who are blessed with talent remain in the shadows, protecting themselves from worldly eyes—that is the nature of a gifted cultivator, slowly growing in the shadows and desiring to attain immortality to reach the pinnacle, the only end goal for a cultivator. But in Yohan’s case, he was completely different. He was someone who was more interested in worldly desires, which is not an actual cultivator’s trait. Moreover, he was not that concerned or obsessed about cultivation or getting stronger; that was the reason Elaine was intrigued by Yohan’s personality.

Yohan turned silent hearing Elaine’s words. After all, he himself didn’t have any particular answer to that very question. He was simply going with the flow, moving with his own instinct that was embedded in his very soul, driving him to move further and grasp everything. His desires were not limited; they were boundless. Yohan was aiming to dominate everything that dared to question his very existence. That was the very reason he killed those grand elders who were conspiring against him; he destroyed those branch families without giving any second thoughts. He was driven by something that he himself didn’t understand yet.

"You think I am different..." Yohan asked as he glanced at Elaine’s face. She seemed to be bothered about something, and somehow Yohan knew it was related to him. This woman was indeed different from other women that he had met up until now. Despite having that kind of frightening cultivation base and the might to challenge Evelyn, she was completely unbothered about it. After coming to his clan, she didn’t even bother to get involved with other high-level cultivators. She was only interested in his daily life by making an excuse to oversee him, which was not entirely true; thanks to the system, Yohan knew it was a half-lie.

"Yes, you are different than other cultivators who possess frightening talent. Those cultivators are very chaotic yet cunning by their nature. They treat everyone around them as just a pawn or a stepping stone to become stronger, desiring to reach the pinnacle of this world. It is a natural instinct embedded in their very soul from their very birth. I didn’t see those traits in your personality," Elaine explained, looking in Yohan’s direction. Yohan could only smile hearing her words.

"I killed nearly a million human beings and destroyed many generations of those six branch families. Most of them shared a blood relation with me, yet you are calling me different than those so-called cultivators," Yohan exclaimed. Elaine could only laugh at his words.

"You may indeed have caused mayhem, but nevertheless, you are indeed different than those chaotic cultivators!" Elaine whispered. Yohan took a sigh, as he didn’t understand this woman, but nevertheless, he agreed with her. He was someone who didn’t like planning and plotting, doing all that messy stuff in the shadows; that was not his forte. If those were the traits of someone blessed by talent, Yohan didn’t want to become that person. What was the point of doing all that tedious stuff when you can eradicate anything with your sheer strength?

"Can I ask you something?" Finally, Yohan looked at Elaine with a different gaze. Elaine turned silent seeing that different look on Yohan’s face, but nevertheless, she nodded her head in response. After all, they had some time before they reached their destination.

"Go ahead..." she said with a straight face, wondering what this young kid was up to. She had all the wisdom that she had accumulated over the years, and she would be pleased to share some of her knowledge with Yohan due to her liking for him.

"What your thoughts on becoming my cultivation partner?"
