Athena’s eyes were equally cold as she realized the severity of the matter. Elder Song and Lucine also grew serious, understanding that Yohan’s father and grandfather were in deep trouble.
"Tell me about the seven branch leaders..." Yohan looked at the four men, his gaze so deep it felt as if he were looking into their very souls.
"All of them are cultivators above the True Spirit Soul Realm... and not to mention, they have over fifty thousand reserve troops..." one of the Grand Elders responded, without wasting a single breath.
"Apart from that... I’ve heard they also hired rogue cultivators from different regions to get rid of you," the second one spoke, revealing their intentions to attack the main family after dealing with his father and grandfather. Yohan remained silent alongside Aana and Athena, completely uninterested in whoever they had hired, though Elder Song was deeply confused by the situation.
"Despite knowing Young Master Yohan took care of the Nichole clan... they still want to attack?" Elder Song couldn’t contain himself any longer as he questioned the elders.
Hearing Old Man Song’s words, the elders fell silent. But a moment later, they finally spoke, revealing something that caught even Yohan and his partners completely by surprise.
"The Northern Royal Family... they are supporting those seven branch families from the shadows and providing help..." one of the Grand Elders revealed.
Athena clenched her fists upon hearing that, while a sinister smile crept onto Aana’s face.
"As expected. I knew those bastards wouldn’t sit still... they will go to any length to take down Yohan. Those branch families are nothing but pawns; the real perpetrators are the Northern Royal faction!" Aana exclaimed, her eyes cold as she thought of how low the Northern Royal Family was willing to stoop.
Yohan remained silent. He didn’t care about the royal family or the seven branch families working together to take him down; right now, his sole priority was to learn his father’s and grandfather’s whereabouts.
"I want their location..." Yohan directed a cold gaze at the old men, fully intending to kill every last one of them.
The four elders gulped nervously under Yohan’s gaze, a chilly sensation running down their spines as they wondered what he would do despite knowing the Northern Royal Family was involved. Nevertheless, they didn’t want to get dragged in any further. Without a second thought, they began revealing the locations of the seven branch families residing within the borders of the Lin clan.
After revealing everything to Yohan, the four elders watched him with cautious gazes, wondering what his next move would be.
"I have one last question..." Yohan looked at the four of them, his face completely devoid of expression.
"What about the remaining five... why didn’t those families get involved in this grand plan of yours to take over the main family?" Yohan asked, wondering why they had abstained from joining the other seven clans. Those five families had accepted the invitation Alena previously sent them, and Yohan didn’t believe for a second that they were completely unaware of what was happening behind the curtain.
The Grand Elders gulped nervously, exchanging glances with one another before looking back at Yohan.
"The seven branch families tried their hardest to convince them to join their cause, but the five of them remained adamant. None of them wanted to get involved..." one of the Grand Elders spoke. Yohan took a long sigh, still wondering why those leaders hadn’t joined the others. The six great factions, the seven branch families, and the Northern Royal Family were all involved, yet those five had not wavered.
Yohan felt a strange intuition about it, but he didn’t want to worry about those five families at this exact moment. His priority was to find his father and grandfather; he refused to lose them, especially his grandfather who loved him unconditionally. The old man was always there whenever Yohan needed him, serving as more of a father figure to him than his actual father, Su Lin.
Yohan sighed and rose to his feet, intending to leave the barracks, but before he could step out, one of the elders stopped him.
"What are you going to do, Young Master..." one of the old men looked at Yohan and asked, a deadly serious expression in his eyes.
"I am going to kill every last one of them... the seven families and the Northern Royal Family. I am going to destroy everything... only women and children will be spared," Yohan responded with a dead look in his eyes. The moment those words reached the Grand Elders, a chilly sensation gripped their bodies.
One of the Grand Elders even laughed upon hearing Yohan’s declaration.
"You are different from your father and your grandfather... I hope you take this clan to its greatest heights under your rule, much like the person who founded this very clan—our great ancestor who reached the pinnacle of this world," the oldest among the four elders exclaimed. With those final words, he bit his tongue and ended his own life.
The remaining three Grand Elders were taken aback, as were Elder Song and Lucine, but Yohan, Aana, and Athena remained entirely expressionless.
The next moment, Yohan simply waved his hand, and the recording orb immediately flew into his grasp. He tossed it into his spatial ring before exiting the barracks, followed closely by Aana, Athena, Elder Song, and Lucine.
Once the five of them stepped outside, they found the warden standing near the entrance, looking incredibly nervous.
"Young Master..." Before he could finish his words, Yohan tossed the orb into his hands, signaling for him to review the recorded content.
The old man’s facial expression changed drastically when he saw the confession and the horrifying scene where Yohan had blasted one of the elders into the wall.
"Make multiple copies and spread them inside the clan. From this moment on, we are at all-out war with the seven allied branch families,!" Yohan casually stated. With those words, he prepared to leave with the others, but the old man stopped him once more.

"Chop off their heads and hang them at the entrance of River Shore City to make an example out of them." With those final words, Yohan walked away with his group, leaving the old man frozen in place.
