"Yohan, I want you to meet my mother!" Athena took a deep breath and looked at him, a dead serious expression overtaking her face.
Yohan was caught off guard by her words. This was the first time she had ever mentioned her mother. Despite knowing each other for a while now, he knew Athena was someone who despised talking about her family. Furthermore, she was on terrible terms with her elder sister, Evelyn. The feeling was entirely mutual; Evelyn hadn’t even told her own disciples about her younger sister. Both Ana and Kana remained completely clueless when it came to their master’s family background.
"Is there a particular reason why you want me to meet your mother? Don’t tell me you’ve fallen hard for me and want me to meet her so I can ask for your hand in marriage?" Yohan chuckled. Athena immediately pinched his cheek, annoyed by him making fun of her.
"Yohan..." Athena began to speak, but Yohan gently placed a finger over her lips to silence her.
"What about Lady Evelyn? Will she be okay with me meeting your mother, for whatever reason you want me to meet her?" Yohan whispered, a sharp, serious look entering his eyes. Athena’s facial expression shifted the moment he mentioned Evelyn’s name, and Yohan could clearly sense the uneasiness flickering in her gaze.
"As long as your sister agrees to what you’re proposing, I am willing to meet your mother. I am glad you asked, but there are certain boundaries that I simply cannot cross. I don’t mind meeting your mother, but I also don’t want to offend Lady Evelyn with my actions," Yohan added, effectively refusing Athena’s proposal. After all, from the very first day, Evelyn had stood by him, helping him out of tight spots and taking a stand for him. He didn’t want to ruin that bond by tangling himself in their family drama. Moreover, for some reason, he was getting a distinctly weird vibe regarding Athena and Evelyn’s mother.
"As long as my sister agrees, huh..." A bittersweet smile appeared on Athena’s face.
"Yes, as long as Lady Evelyn agrees," Yohan reaffirmed. Athena sighed in a defeated manner, as if understanding that the arrangement Yohan proposed was never going to work out. Her sister would absolutely never agree to it.
"Well, whatever. Sooner or later, you are bound to meet her, whether you like it or not. And when that happens, even my mighty sister will be forced to stand by as a mere spectator from the sidelines," Athena said, leaning in to kiss his cheek while sporting a distinctly sadistic look.
Yohan felt goosebumps break out all over his body; Athena’s dark side always made him incredibly nervous.
"Is your mother that scary?" Yohan asked. Athena frowned and shook her head.
"Forget about my mother... what do you intend to do with her?" She pointed a finger toward Ana, who was fast asleep on his bed,Yohan turned silent but nevertheless he looked in the direction of his head where ana was sleeping.
"Well, I was originally heading out to meet Maria, but I stumbled into you,i wanted to ask her help regarding Ana’s situation," Yohan responded,at the same time he also wondered just how long Athena had been standing right outside his room.
"That woman, huh..." A different look crossed Athena’s face the moment he mentioned Maria. Yohan noticed the shift, but decided it was best not to delve any deeper into it.
"You wanted to get those pills that can suppress one’s cultivation, right?" Athena asked, accurately guessing the reason behind Yohan’s eagerness to find Maria.
"Well, yes, I need them. Otherwise, I’ll have no choice but to leave Ana in Elsa’s care," Yohan whispered. He already had a backup plan to deal with the situation, but that was strictly his last resort.
"Take this..." In the next moment, Athena retrieved a small bottle from her spatial ring and handed it to Yohan.

"Ana will continue to appear as a mortal in everyone’s eyes, so please don’t worry," Athena stated, clarifying the exact effects of the medicine.
With the pills finally in his possession, Yohan breathed a profound sigh of relief. Now, any concerns he had about Elaine would be completely alleviated.
"What is it that you desire in return?" Yohan turned back towards Athena. She had rendered him an immense service, and as long as she refrained from insisting he introduce her to her mother, he was prepared to grant almost any request.
"I’m delighted you inquired…" she purred, her features contorting into an intensely alluring expression. Yohan swallowed nervously at the sight, instantly grasping the exact nature of her desired recompense.
Despite his apprehension, Yohan nodded in agreement, consenting to fulfill Athena’s wish.
"Since she has now occupied your room, it would be best for us to relocate to another," Athena whispered into Yohan’s ear, a faint blush spreading across her cheeks, her body alight with yearning for him. It had been a considerable period since they had last engaged in dual-cultivation together.
