Dual Cultivation Chapter 1134 End of the Dual Cultivation Exchange(2)
Previously on Dual Cultivation...
As Yu Hang and his rival stepped out of the formation, the Yin and Yang Counter revealed the tallies of 16 and 17. With the Yin Qi Counter holding the slight lead, it was confirmed that Yu Hang had narrowly clinched his second win of the tournament.
Despite the win, Yu Hang emerged from the formation on shaky legs, his frame shuddering from sheer fatigue. His eyes were half-closed, and he looked as though he might collapse at any second, making it obvious that he was in no condition to face another challenger. Continuing was simply impossible. Nevertheless, his feat was noteworthy; taking down two disciples from the Mystic Delight Pavilion was a respectable achievement given the difficulty of the trial.
Regrettably, his performance was utterly eclipsed by Su Yang’s legendary showing, leaving the watching disciples with little interest in Yu Hang's struggle.
"You might have defeated me, but this is the end for the Boundless Yin Yang Sect!" the female disciple bested by Yu Hang spat out.
Yu Hang could only respond with a grimace, fully aware of the dire situation his sect faced.
However, when the judge moved to declare the official results a moment later, both of them were stunned into silence.
"The Mystic Delight Pavilion has no more participants left! The Boundless Yin Yang Sect is the victor of this dual cultivation exchange!"
"WHAT?!"
The announcement left Yu Hang and his opponent shouting in pure confusion.
"W-wait a minute! Why are you declaring the Boundless Yin Yang Sect's victory when we still have matches left?!" the female disciple demanded.
"Actually, your match was the last one."
The judge then began to clarify the sequence of events for them.
"T-that arrogant bastard defeated 8 of us by himself within four hours…? That's impossible! Do you really expect me to believe—"
"We're leaving!" Sect Leader Shuang barked as she stood up abruptly, cutting the disciple off mid-sentence.
Just as they turned to depart, Su Yang opened his eyes and ceased his cultivation to speak, "Before you go, you should know that this isn't over yet Mystic Delight Pavilion."
"What?" Sect Leader Shuang paused and turned her gaze back toward Su Yang.
"Have you forgotten already? You stole our sect's techniques. This won't be over until you return what you've stolen and pay for your crimes," he said, bluntly reminding her of their transgressions.
Sect Leader Shuang’s body shook with rage. The sting of their humiliating loss had drained her patience, and a thick killing intent suddenly radiated from her.
Sensing the danger, Sect Leader Qing stepped forward to shield her disciple. "If you attack my disciple after losing to him, who knows how it'll affect the Mystic Delight Pavilion's image? You should save whatever face you have left and leave peacefully."
Though Sect Leader Shuang trembled with fury, she managed to suppress her impulse to strike.
She glared at Su Yang, sending a cold voice transmission directly into his mind: "You'll regret offending me—the Mystic Delight Pavilion!"
Su Yang met her eyes with a sharp gaze of his own. "And you'll regret stealing our techniques."
"What can you, a mere disciple, do about it? You don't even have any proof!"
"Don't worry, I have my ways to expose the Mystic Delight Pavilion."
Sect Leader Shuang scowled at his confidence, but she ultimately brushed his threats aside.
Without another word, she took to the sky and flew away, followed closely by the rest of the Mystic Delight Pavilion disciples.
Once the rivals had cleared the area, Sect Leader Qing walked over to Su Yang. "Congratulations, Disciple Xiao. Not only did you manage to defeat the Mystic Delight Pavilion, but it was a complete victory for the Boundless Yin Yang Sect."
"I was only fulfilling my duties as a disciple," Su Yang replied calmly.
Sect Leader Qing offered a warm smile. "Now it is my turn to fulfill my duties as the Sect Leader. Disciple Xiao, for your achievements, I hereby promote you to Core Disciple. Moreover, since you were able to overwhelm your opponents, I will grant you an additional reward—access to the Eternal Yin Yang Cave."
"What?! Access to the Eternal Yin Yang Cave?!" The surrounding elders gasped, shocked by such an unprecedented reward.
"Is there anything else you want, Disciple Xiao? If it's within my capabilities, I'll do my best to help you," Sect Leader Qing added, ignoring the murmurs of the elders.
"I don't have anything in mind at the moment, but I will let you know once I need something."
Sect Leader Qing gave a nod of approval.
She then addressed the gathered crowd. "The dual cultivation exchange has ended. You can all return to your lives."
Turning back to Su Yang, she said, "Disciple Xiao, I still need to speak with you. Come find me once you've recovered."
"I understand."
Su Yang departed the arena shortly after to head back to his quarters.
In the following days, the news of the Boundless Yin Yang Sect’s crushing victory over the Mystic Delight Pavilion rippled through the dual cultivation world, leaving many in disbelief.
"What? A single individual dominated the Mystic Delight Pavilion? Who and when did the Boundless Yin Yang Sect acquire such a talent?"
"I heard they recruited this individual from the City of Pleasure."
"Are you sure the rumors are exaggerated?"
"Wait a second… Xiao Yang… I know him! I experienced his massage before! I didn't know he was a genius dual cultivator, too!"
While the defeat of the Mystic Delight Pavilion was a hot topic among dual cultivators, the news didn't travel far beyond that niche. To many traditional sects and cultivators, dual cultivation was a specialized path they considered irrelevant to their own goals.
Even so, the reputation of the Mystic Delight Pavilion took a massive hit within their community, while the Boundless Yin Yang Sect successfully restored much of its former prestige.
"What did you think of the exchange?" Su Yang asked Lin Xinyi once they were alone at home.
She thought about it for a moment before answering, "It made me curious more than anything. What did you do to overwhelm those disciples?"
"Want to experience it yourself?"
"T-that's…" She gulped, her nerves showing.
"I'm joking. You won't be able to handle it in your current state. However, once you increase your cultivation and endurance, I'll let you experience it. Don't worry, it won't take too long."
Lin Xinyi nodded, though a faint trace of disappointment lingered in her expression.
