A month passed, and finally, Lin Feng glimpsed the insight he was looking for. The moment his understanding deepened, a stream of immortal qi began surrounding him before slowly entering inside his meridians and moving towards his Dantian.

And when this immortal qi began entering inside his Origin Dantian, something strange happened, the Eternal Dao Lotus suddenly began absorbing the Chaos Qi at an increased pace.. so much that it matched the amount of qi he was receiving from the heavens.

So right now, his Dantian was getting filled at a similar rate as it was being drained..

Lin Feng had not expected this to happen, but he wasn’t worried about it, as he would keep receiving immortal qi until he achieved his breakthrough, so overall, it was a perfect situation for him. This way, the Eternal Dao Lotus would advance even without needing any effort..

And when the Eternal Dao Lotus advanced, his body cultivation might advance together with it..

This was an unimaginable benefit of his constitution which would fill others with envy if they ever came to know about it.

Lin Feng opened his eyes and just calmly waited for everything to finish.

The immortal qi surrounding him vanished, and he stood up, stretching himself.

This was the longest cultivation session he had after arriving in this sect, and he had to say it was worth it.

He walked out of the residence, hoping for any parchment containing information about the sect competition, but there were none.

He flew up and looked towards Sun Xiurong’s courtyard, her residence was covered in a faint barrier, which meant she still hadn’t come out of her closed-door cultivation, so he decided not to visit her and covered himself in the concealment veil before flying towards the main Sword Peak.

A few breaths later, he arrived there and landed away from prying eyes before coming out of his veil and walking towards the treasury at a normal pace, although he still used a trick to conceal his presence even when he was walking openly.

This allowed him to remain concealed unless someone looked at him directly..

Due to this, he reached the treasury without any hindrance.

Zhi Hui was sorting some swords when she noticed him and became surprised.

"Junior brother, congratulations.."

Lin Feng gave a small bow, "Thank you, Senior Sister..."

"Junior brother, these are all Initiation Realm swords, if you want any flame-compatible sword for yourself, then you can see these two.." Zhi Hui pointed towards two swords in front of her.

"Do I have to use a sword in the battles, Senior Sister?"

Zhi Hui shook her head, "Not really, you can use whatever you want, Junior Brother.."

While saying this, she put the swords away, she understood that he wasn’t interested in taking any of these swords.

Lin Feng just smiled and asked what he came for, "When is the competition, Senior Sister?"

"There is no specific date for it, Junior Brother, but it would still take around a month.."

Lin Feng nodded in understanding. He was about to ask about Elder Cui when he felt her presence, followed by her spiritual sense.

"Senior Sister, I will take my leave.."

Zhi Hui nodded as she also felt the spiritual sense from Cui Shuyin, "Alright, take care, Junior Brother.."

Lin Feng gave a slight nod before flying up..

Cui Shuyin was waiting for Lin Feng with bewilderment, "Isn’t it too fast?"

Unlike Zhi Hui, she knew that Lin Feng had ascended after the breakthrough, so him breaking through in less than a year was not something which she had expected to happen.

"I was fortunate enough to gain some insights, Senior, nothing else.."

Cui Shuyin sighed, "I doubt that truly is the reason.."

Lin Feng smiled, "Maybe my motivation is something else.."

Cui Shuyin understood what he was implying, "Yes, how can I forget your lustful tendencies..."

She waved her hand, and they began moving towards their peak where the spirit field was.

"Anything regarding the ruins, Senior?" Lin Feng was curious to know what had happened till now.

Cui Shuyin sighed, "Supreme Elder had gone inside the sealed portion and gotten injured.."

Lin Feng’s eyes slightly widened, as far as he knew, Supreme Elder was the strongest in the sect currently, so him getting injured didn’t bode well for the whole sect, "Is the situation that dire?"

Cui Shuyin shook her head, "It is still salvageable... that entity didn’t seem to be able to cross the seal, so we are safe as long as it exists."

Lin Feng wondered if this restriction was due to the fusion of the entity with the tree...

"Feng’er, what are your thoughts on it, we still haven’t been able to figure out much from Supreme Elder’s visit.. he wasn’t able to stay much longer due to the combined attack from the tree and that entity.."

Lin Feng decided to tell her everything he had deduced till now.

"Senior, as far as I think, the tree and the entity are now one being... you can think of it as a fusion meant for survival, something which is not ideal for both of these beings since they are restricted by each other now.

The tree cannot ascend now since the Heavens didn’t recognize it as a spirit tree, while that person’s strength is totally dependent on the strength of the tree, making it impossible for him to do anything else to improve their condition..

If nothing major happens, which most probably won’t unless someone else intervenes, then they will remain like that forever.. or perhaps, just perhaps, there is something which is still concealed from me since I haven’t truly seen the tree."

Cui Shuyin was slightly surprised hearing him, it did make a lot of sense now that she thought from his perspective.
