Lin Feng is introduced to Supreme Elder Shi Wen, a powerful figure in the sect. Cui Shuyin discusses Lin Feng's talent in alchemy and his decision to join the Sword Pavilion. The Supreme Elder offers Lin Feng advice on humility. Afterward, as Lin Feng and Cui Shuyin head to the Sword Pavilion, they encounter one of Sun Xiurong's suitors, whom Cui Shuyin playfully describes as a fool.

Shortly after, they arrived above the main peak of the Sword Pavilion.

Zhe Peng landed at the entrance, since outsiders have to get permission first to enter other pavilions.

"Senior brother Zhe..." The guard, who was the same person who notified Zhe Peng about Sun Xiurong, bowed his head.

Zhe Peng smiled and nodded, "I would like to visit junior sister Sun..."

The guard disciple shook his head, "Senior brother Zhe, you know that I don’t have the authority to give you that permission, you have to ask senior sister Zhi..."

Zhe Peng nodded, he already knew that, he mentioned it just for the sake of it. He was just about to walk inside to find Zhi Hui when he saw a young man landing on the peak.

The guard disciple looked at the newcomer with furrowed brows too, "Who are you, you don’t know that without permission you are not allowed to enter inside? Come out immediately..."

Lin Feng sighed hearing that. He had been dropped off by Elder Cui by saying that she had some work to do. It wasn’t a problem since he could have just gone to his courtyard directly, but she also gave him some spirit stones to hand over to Zhi Hui. It was very obvious why she did that...

He turned around and took out his Sword Pavilion token, "I don’t think I need permission to enter my own pavilion..."

The guard disciple got stunned seeing that token as he really didn’t recognize Lin Feng, there was no way he could forget given his striking appearance which seems to better than even Zhe Peng.

Zhe Peng raised his eyebrows slightly too, this was the first time he was seeing Lin Feng and he didn’t like his look inherently.

"Sorry about that junior brother, I didn’t know about you..." The guard disciple immediately apologized, if the token was real, which most probably should be, then it was his fault, even if it was by mistake. Who knows if this newcomer is from some big clan or not...

Lin Feng waved his hand, "No need to worry about that..."

After saying that, he turned around and began leaving when he was called again.

"Wait a second..."

Lin Feng stopped and turned back again and looked toward Zhe Peng, "Yes?"

"When did you join the sect? As far as I know, no new recruitments were held recently..." Zhe Peng asked with little flat tone.

Lin Feng was amused slightly, "Who are you?"

Zhe Peng furrowed his brows as he was certain that with his reputation, he was well known among lower realm cultivators of even big clans and sects, much less smaller ones.

The guard disciple was surprised too, however, he decided to introduce Zhe Peng, "This is senior brother Zhe Peng from Origin Pavilion, you should address him as senior, junior brother..."

Lin Feng shook his head, "He is not from Sword Pavilion, so I have no obligation to call him senior, as for the matter of my joining, go ask about it from Sect Master, he was there when I joined..."

Lin Feng’s tone was extremely calm, which didn’t seem too provocative even when the words felt quite dismissive and without respect.

The guard disciple was stunned hearing that, he looked at Lin Feng with little pity in his eyes. The amount of fame Zhe Peng had would be enough to make Lin Feng’s life in this sect hell with just one word from him.

He decided to ease the tension, lest his new junior brother, who seemed rather foolish, end up losing his life somewhere.

"Senior brother Zhe, he is just a newbie, don’t mind him, I am sure he would come to know of your greatness soon..."

Zhe Peng looked at Lin Feng with a deep gaze but an amicable smile, "Hehehe, don’t worry about it, he is not wrong in the end..."

The guard disciple sighed and looked at Lin Feng, "Senior brother Zhe is very famous in the sect, junior brother, many disciples love him for his magnanimity, you should really apologize to him..."

Lin Feng showed a little confused expression, "Apologies? For what?"

The guard disciple felt a little angry now, he had tried his best to warn this junior by mentioning that many disciples love Zhe Peng, but it didn’t seem to be getting into his dumb head.

Just as he was about to lash out slightly, he saw Zhi Hui coming toward them. He sighed in relief as he really didn’t want to deal with it, he bowed toward her, "Senior sister Zhi..."

Zhi Hui nodded and looked at Lin Feng with a little bewildered expression, she wasn’t expecting him to be here in the morning, "Junior brother, what happened, do you need something?"

Lin Feng shook his head and took out a storage bag full of spirit stones, "Elder Cui had told me to pass this to you, senior sister..."

Zhi Hui took the bag and looked inside before nodding, "I see..." Her confusion didn’t wane though as Elder Cui could have given it later to her, well whatever, "Brother Zhe, why have you come here?"

Zhe Peng smiled. "I’m here to see Junior Sister Sun and ask about her health. Once I see her, I’ll feel at ease knowing that she’s fine. I couldn’t meet her during the mission, and it has been weighing on my mind."

Zhi Hui sighed hearing that, she wasn’t naive enough to not know why he wanted to meet her, "Brother Zhe, you can wait here, I will go and ask her if she wants to meet anyone or not..."

She couldn’t refuse such a simple request. After all, he had gone on the mission to rescue her, regardless of whatever ulterior motives he might have had.

"You can bring me along with you, sister Zhi, I don’t think it would be an issue?"

Zhe Peng insisted with a soft tone, but Zhi Hui shook her head.

"Junior sister doesn’t allow visits from anyone at her peak..." Zhi Hui declined immediately.

"Ahh...yes, it’s alright then, I will wait here..." Zhe Peng maintained his amicable smile.

Zhi Hui was certain that Zhe Peng was aware of this, yet he was acting sly, she shook her head internally and was about to go when she heard Lin Feng’s voice.
