Lin Feng reveals to Elder Cui that he is a cultivator following the Path of Concealment and explains how he met and saved Sun Xiurong in the Devil Paradise. After being assigned a new courtyard, Lin Feng reunites with Sun Xiurong, who tells him her master is interested in meeting him.

Sun Xiurong’s words could mean many things, and he wasn’t interested in interpreting them right now. His mind was focused on only one fact, whether it was a safe decision to meet her master, who might be beyond this world in terms of strength.

Given the circumstances, he was certain that Sun Xiurong’s master wouldn’t create any problems for him, but since he wasn’t a hundred percent sure, he would rather not take unnecessary risks.

There were too many secrets hidden inside his body, and given the strength of Sun Xiurong’s master, it was totally possible that she could see through most of them, if not all, which would create unnecessary trouble for him.

Lin Feng gave a restrained smile, "Senior Sister, I think that it will be better if I find some other place to live..."

Sun Xiurong gave a charming yet amused smile, "Junior brother, weren’t you feeling quite lonely without me just a moment ago? How can you think of living away from me now?"

While saying those words to tease him, she felt embarrassed herself, but she didn’t back down.

Lin Feng felt his blood stirring slightly just by seeing her smile while saying those words, which definitely weren’t intended the way he was thinking about. However, how could he let go of this chance? He blatantly looked at her body, which was hidden meticulously, and smirked.

"Are you trying to seduce me, senior sister? Because it definitely worked, now don’t back down when the time comes..."

Sun Xiurong shivered slightly thinking about what he was trying to say, and feeling his gaze made her blush visibly.

"Y-you are just trying to take advantage of me, junior brother. You know I didn’t intend those words seriously, so don’t even think about something inappropriate..."

"How can I not take the words of my senior sister seriously? It would be disobedience to not do so..." Lin Feng’s smirk widened.

Sun Xiurong bit her lips slightly before sighing and shaking her head, "Anyway, you don’t have to worry about my master, junior brother. She might be a little temperamental, but I think that is just due to her immensely long life. In reality, she is very gentle and kind, you can trust me on that. In fact, she isn’t even in a condition to harm you, junior brother, believe me..."

Lin Feng furrowed his brows. That last statement was enough to narrow down the assumption he had before about her master. He took a small breath and decided to trust her.

It wasn’t some impulsive decision. He was more than certain that Sun Xiurong wouldn’t lie to him.

"Alright, senior sister, I am ready to see her..."

Sun Xiurong’s eyes lit up slightly and she gestured to him, "Come with me, junior brother..."

Lin Feng nodded and they began walking toward the other courtyard, which was about a hundred meters away from this one.

"So that is your residence, senior sister?"

"Yes, and this one is yours..." Sun Xiurong pointed toward the courtyard beside them.

Lin Feng nodded in understanding, and soon they reached Sun Xiurong’s courtyard, which was surrounded by small walls and rows of trees.

As they entered inside, Lin Feng smelled the serene fragrance of flowers growing in the courtyard along with some trees bearing fruits.

"Senior sister, our courtyard is beautiful..." Lin Feng spoke with an innocent tone.

Sun Xiurong didn’t respond as she feared him not leaving this topic ever.

She guided him toward her residence and opened the main entrance.

Lin Feng looked around in satisfaction. It was maintained properly and had good aesthetics.

Sun Xiurong entered inside a particular chamber and Lin Feng followed.

The moment he entered the chamber, he felt a gaze which made him stop in his tracks.

He was prepared for it, but it still shook him to the core. His eyes immediately landed on the jade bed in front of him.

There was a broken sword lying on it, and it was so old and ordinary looking that no one would look at it after a single glance, but Lin Feng’s breath hitched seeing it, he knew it’s origin.

A faint voice reverberated through the chamber.

"Xiu’er, go outside for a moment..."

Sun Xiurong furrowed her brows, "Master?"

She had already mentioned that she would stay through their conversation to make junior brother Lin feel at ease.

"It’s alright, senior sister..." Lin Feng controlled his slightly erratic emotions and spoke with a calm tone.

Sun Xiurong nodded and left. If he was fine with the arrangement, then she was happy to oblige, although she was curious why her master didn’t want to talk in her presence.

...

After Sun Xiurong left, Lin Feng bowed toward the broken sword in respect, which he hardly ever did so, "Lin Feng greets senior..." He even wanted to use her title but he wasn’t sure if it really was her..

A moment later the voice emerged again.

"In my whole life, I have seen many things, so much that nothing seems interesting anymore, yet who knew that after dying I would meet someone like you...

I cannot sense the Heavenly Favor on you, and even if I did, I doubt that it would have been enough for the things you are holding inside your body... and I am very sure about the fact that you understand how valuable those two things are..."

Lin Feng listened quietly with a calm expression. He wasn’t surprised that she saw through him. The gaze he felt at the start was enough to tell him that all his secrets were laid bare in front of this senior. Still, he wasn’t afraid though.

"The most impressive thing is that you somehow even fused perfectly with them without dying, and there is no imbalance between them, and among all of your secrets the most shocking fact is that you have successfully reincarnated..."

The voice vanished for a moment, making Lin Feng sigh. He hadn’t sensed it, but it seemed the aura of reincarnation hadn’t faded away completely yet, although it shouldn’t be surprising as not even a century had passed.
