Hong Xinyi, the Supreme Demon Ghost, falls from a spatial rift, severely wounded. Wu Long and Fen Baihu find her too powerful to bring into the Dream Realm and flee to the wilderness. Wu Long declares he knows a way to help her, but it comes with a price. Just as they prepare, Xun Yawen appears and offers another solution: she can instantly lower Hong Xinyi's cultivation to a treatable level, permanently removing it and all benefits. Wu Long accepts, and Xun Yawen performs the ritual, changing Hong Xinyi's hair color and making her less otherworldly. Xun Yawen departs, promising to return, while Wu Long begins treating Hong Xinyi.

Emerging from the swirling mist, Gong Liwei materialized in the Dream Realm. She had been awaiting their summons, ready the instant Wu Long's need for her reached Fen Baihu.

"Liwei..." Wu Long's gaze turned to her.

"I understand," she replied, her nod conveying comprehension of the dire circumstances without the need for further explanation.

It was a peculiar paradox: Hong Xinyi's lower cultivation level made her amenable to treatment, yet this same frailty rendered her body fragile and susceptible to injury, thus demanding swift intervention. Though her cultivation realm continued to plummet due to her grievous wounds, the rate of decline had considerably slowed.

As Gong Liwei commenced her ministrations, Wu Long focused on stabilizing Hong Xinyi's cultivation base, preventing further descent. His right hand hovered above her Dantian, while his left wove intricate hand seals. Beneath his right palm, profound, luminous patterns materialized, from which hundreds of slender, glowing threads of Qi extended, piercing her Dantian.

Gong Liwei brought her hands together for a hand seal. This was the very seal she had previously hesitated to employ – the initial gesture for the specialized technique Wu Long had devised for her.

Now, however, any indecision was vanquished. As she formed the seal, her eyes blazed with unwavering confidence and determination, fueled by an intense desire to succeed, recognizing its paramount importance to Wu Long. Her hands then executed a complex sequence of seals, summoning her Life Vessel pots, two large and two small, to her sides.

Behind her, a brilliant green circle of Qi ignited, adorned with intricate, shifting patterns and symbols. Formless ripples of semi-transparent green Qi emanated outwards, traveling about a meter before dissipating, creating the illusion of a shimmering, curtain-like veil of greenish light.

A profound aura permeated the surroundings, radiating waves of vitality. From the pots, lush green bushes sprang forth, each leaf bearing a unique, mystical symbol that pulsed with light.

In the ensuing moments, buds emerged on the bushes, swelling and ripening until they unfurled, revealing a soft, whitish luminescence within. Small, white flower bulbs rapidly grew, blossoming into exquisite, ethereal flowers with near-transparent petals, each one a masterpiece of delicate artistry.

Gong Liwei's eyes glowed with a vibrant green, her focus absolute.

Specks of bright green light appeared above each flower, drifting down like a gentle cascade of luminous dust. These gathered into numerous tiny orbs, which slowly coalesced into lifelike butterflies sculpted from pure green light.

Her lips parted, and she softly invoked, "Divine Garden of Life Art."

The butterflies stirred. With a noticeable effort, three took flight, their wings beating as they ascended from the blossoms and drifted towards Hong Xinyi, beginning to circle above her.

Yet, the technique proved challenging to command, evident by Gong Liwei's furrowed brow. She swiftly altered her hand seal.

The butterflies ceased their circling and instead descended, landing directly upon Hong Xinyi.

The instant they touched her wounds, Hong Xinyi's complexion, which had rapidly deteriorated after her cultivation levels plummeted and was only sustained by the pills Wu Long administered, visibly improved. Her injuries began to mend before their eyes.

A gentle, warm green radiance spread from her, accompanied by ripples that carried an essence of pure vitality and life itself.

Wu Long concluded his efforts to halt the erosion of her cultivation. It had fallen to the threshold of the Mortal Transcendence Realm, teetering on the brink of regression to the 9th-level Core Reformation Realm, but it had stabilized and even showed signs of a nascent climb. He estimated it would ascend to approximately the 2nd-level of the Mortal Transcendence Realm once she had fully recovered.

Gong Liwei's expression was grave, her concentration unbroken. Occasionally, the butterflies' movements faltered, and despite her best efforts, she could not compel those still resting on the flowers to stir, their wings merely fluttering softly in place.

Nevertheless, even the limited effect of these three butterflies was miraculous. Soon, Hong Xinyi's wounds sealed, all bleeding ceased, and her condition improved with every passing moment.

As soon as her state stabilized completely, and her life was no longer in peril, Wu Long, who had been holding her hand throughout, released a sigh of profound relief, closing his eyes for a brief respite.

He retrieved another pill from his spatial ring and gently administered it to Hong Xinyi. Gong Liwei recognized it as a sedative, rightly surmising that with her condition improving, waking amidst the ongoing treatment and chaotic circumstances would be detrimental. Thus, Wu Long chose to allow her to rest until her complete recovery.

He certainly had another motive she was unaware of.

As her condition improved, Gong Liwei’s healing methods grew even more effective. This was partly because addressing less severe injuries was simpler, and partly because she was becoming more adept at utilizing the technique.

In merely a minute following the improvement in her state, Hong Xinyi’s wounds vanished completely. Another minute passed, and a healthy, rosy hue returned to her cheeks, indicating her internal injuries were also mending. By the time five minutes had elapsed after her condition stabilized, Hong Xinyi was fully restored to perfect health.

"Fuu~..." Gong Liwei released a prolonged sigh, feeling a degree of exhaustion. She wasn't yet accustomed to the mental exertion required to control such an intricate and potent technique.

Wu Long’s arms encircled her, drawing her into an embrace. "Thank you, Liwei. You did an amazing job, truly incredible."

He could sense the profound emotion in his voice, and a warmth spread through Gong Liwei’s chest. A smile curved her lips, and her eyes sparkled with joy, enhancing her already stunning beauty.

His lips met hers in a kiss, conveying his immense gratitude and deep affection. She responded to the embrace with blissful reciprocation.

As they parted, he then kissed her forehead, appearing unable to contain his feelings. His gratitude was too intense for a single kiss, and she responded with a giggle, a blush gracing her cheeks, her heart brimming with happiness.

"Shall I escort her back to the Dream Realm mansion then?" Fen Baihu inquired, turning her attention to the now sleeping Hong Xinyi.

"Not just yet," Wu Long replied, shaking his head. He finally released Gong Liwei. "You two go ahead. I'll bring Xinyi with me a little later... While I can't explain everything immediately, I promise I will once all matters are settled."

Gong Liwei nodded without hesitation. Fen Baihu paused for a moment before also nodding. The two beautiful women then disappeared into the mist.

"What a charming scene~" Xun Yawen materialized without any prior indication or sound. Of course, Wu Long had suspected her presence while he was kissing Gong Liwei, even if he couldn't sense her. Hence, her comment.

"Thank you," he responded sincerely, turning to face her.

"As I mentioned, this just happened to be advantageous for you. However, everything I did was a transaction. She paid the cost for every bit of assistance I provided," Xun Yawen stated, prompting a contemplative expression on Wu Long's face.

"You are concerned about creating Karma," he deduced.

"Hehe, it's always remarkable how you grasp the core of matters so accurately and swiftly," she chuckled, stepping closer. Her gaze fell upon the peacefully slumbering Hong Xinyi. "Indeed, just as an Immortal must exercise extreme caution when sowing Karma with a Transcendent or a Mortal, I must be even more meticulous regarding such affairs. Otherwise, you might bear the burden of a Karmic connection with me, thereby attracting troubles commensurate with such a link. Do you believe you can handle that?"

"Was her initial payment for the spatial rift, given at the moment of need, all of her possessions and a significant portion of her Cultivation?" Wu Long inquired.

"Yes," Xun Yawen confirmed with a broadening grin, as he had correctly identified it once more. "I also stripped her clothing and accessories of any unique properties, rendering them ordinary mortal items. This, too, was part of the price. But to be candid, you and she are both exceptionally fortunate."

He looked at her with a questioning gaze, and she let out a light laugh.

"The price for aiding her is so low solely due to an extraordinary stroke of luck. All seven Boundless Worlds are currently in alignment, making it remarkably easy for me to generate the spatial rift. The probability of such a coincidence is so astronomically slim that I'd venture to say if luck itself were a person, it would be a woman who has fallen for you," she quipped with a lighthearted laugh.

She then added, "Without that incredible fortune, I might have been unable to intervene at all. The risk of sowing Karma with her, and by extension, with you, would have been excessively high. Neither of you could withstand a Karmic connection with me."

"It appears I have not paid any price," Wu Long remarked, raising an eyebrow.

"You have. Although, as I stated, I am not the sole entity you should thank for all that has transpired with you, you did pay the full cost for the extent of my involvement in the entire affair," she offered with a mysterious smile. "Even now, the price for receiving all these answers from me is my amusement, and whatever progress in Cultivation you achieved after advancing to the Essence Awakening Realm. Consequently, you are now back at the threshold of the Realm, which is why this conversation is drawing to a close."

He realized the truth in her words. His progress had been minimal, barely surpassing the threshold and not even reaching the first level of the Realm. Now, he was precisely back at the Realm's gate.

He understood that the time for his inquiries had ended. Her form began to appear slightly more translucent, as if gradually fading away.

"Thank you." He maintained his smile.

"Heh, you are most welcome." A delighted smile mirrored hers, followed by a playful wink directed at him. "See you later, Wu Long~"
